The burnt surface of circuit board should also be cleaned of the carbon to prevent any arcing or unwanted conductivity between traces. I use a dremel tool to do that.
CONGRATS on getting that to work again! Nice! @ 3:33 when you are pointing " this end and this end right here " I would think you should have put dual bridges so the other end did not have to rely on the board connection and so it would be exactly as the other end was with the bridge, That way your board would not be subject to boiling out that solider out as it did previously, ( especially since your cap installed is Bigger power than the old blown one.. LOL ) you should use the exact same part specifications when replacing stuff like that cap if you can - but hey, I have seen all kinds of crap installed in a amp lol. it's insane what folks will do to get a thing working, also it could have gone terribly wrong and toasted your little board again. Those kind of amps are funny, says 1500 watts and there no possible way it could even be 25% of that. I mean, if you really had a 1500 watt amp in there it would have way more that 4 Mosfet chips on that heat sink and everything would be massively over sized. I mean, car audio and house audio is different because of the power source being WAY more stable and continuous in the house BUT - this little amp is ridiculously small to even a zr120 LOL. You could do a solid upgrade on this one though the way it's laid out super easy though if you installed a small fan on the end of that heat sink to blow straight through those fins if you wanted to. it would dissipate heat MUCH better. this amp may have broken the way you found it because of an Ohm load being too low for it. that little amp cannot hang with lower than the specs are and probably even a higher would make it last longer as the mfg is obviously a liar. when the Om load drops the amp will try to spew more current and the components will heat up like crazy. that goo that you don't know what it is is the residue from the over heating, it's the STANK - probably cancer causing goo to boot. I don't care though it tastes awesome with a little Tapatio. I liked this video man,
Thank you for appreciating my video and pointing out what could of been done better! we all are here to learn from each other and become stronger as one! "what your saying is making alot of sense and i respect you for that! Thanks again take care.

Damn I wish I had your brains right now, I’ve got a pioneer 800 watt amp with power and ground but no output signal, I know for a fact it’s the output signal bcuz I tried a different amp and sub works. I also replaced fuses and rca and still no output signal. Could you give me any advice? I opened the back but I have no idea what I’m looking for, I’d really appreciate your wisdom.
Thanks man... try to see if you see things burned or bold like capacitors and then check broken solder points sometime the joints brake apart with cooling and heating for the transistors audio . That the best I could do without seeing the amp sorry.
I bought pioneer private pro ax 720 amplifier but it is not giving sound to the speakers but when i turn on the amplifier there is a slight vibration in the amplifier. Plz tell how can i fix
Hi so when you bought the amp it came dysfunctional.? If yes! try these step-by-step. Check for boldes capacitors'(replace them) check all audio transistors,(if open replace them). check head jack to see if you get sound. If you get sound threw the headphone then step one and two could possibly be the problem hope this help thank you for watching .
Hey i sont know how else to get a hold of you. But i had a quick question i have a technical pro rx504 1500w and the digital fluorescent sound spectrum display isnt working i was hoping you might no the answer or could point me in the right direction please and thank you
Hey. Well to be honest It could be a number of things. First try the out put line that gives it power if the power is running good then check the board with the display. Most of the times the light burns put. If it's that just replace. Hope this helps
@jayflash1000 Hey, thank you for replying to me. I really appreciate it. Ok, I'll try to do that. But you're probably right. The display probably burnt out. I've been looking non-stop for a display for it. It's non extinct, not even technical pro has it. Anyway, that's why I reached out to you. Maybe you knew something I didn't.
Hey I have the same problem Gemini /As-15BLU I’m trying to fix it I got power but know sound how can you tail if the Terminator bad I couldn’t tell by the video
Hi sorry for the late reply been very busy. Ok try buy puting a mutlimeter on the speaker terminals and you should get some very low voltage to see if it's good. Also check your caps for the sound output section. Sometimes caps look good and go bad.
I just bought a tkl digital equalizer and it is outputting a static pulsating sound I can barely hear the music when turned all the way up any idea what could cause this it's brand new and I'm having trouble returning it it's a tkl t2531

1500w !!! not even if it was struck by lightning, how these manufactures get away with the highly inflated ratings is a mystery! the output transistors and size of the transformer say otherwise... around 100w rms per channel i would guess

@JayJay Schnetler the technics eh series use class H switching rail amplifiers, if the volume from 0-40% ish is working correctly it would seem as if it isn’t switching to the high rail voltage or the high rail doesn’t have any voltage there, i would check the internal fuses if not its a qualified technician repair sorry, there are high voltages present inside so i advise against poking around in there unless you know what you are doing
