  • Is this bike future-proof? I discuss this and more. Also I test the range, motor noise and see if it is more powerful than it's predecessor and what it rides like?
    Thanks to ‪@Loukrozb‬ for the demo.

    Nice riding and real-world trail experience on the bike, thanks! Many reviewers have found that the bike comes with turbo dialed down to 80%, so your range predictions aren’t accurate. I’d state that in some text overlay to let viewers know that upfront.

    • @jaselikesbikes

      Yes It does come at 80% but most people will also change the settings in mission control. I rode at 100/100 in nTurbo mode.

    The new frame looks like every other frame out there. That crossbar gave it a unique style. Glad to have the classic. Motor can be tuned. Sound is about the same. I added the 160 DVO ONYX a long time ago. So nothing new plus I don't use turbo mode unless I'm headed to the trailhead at the end of a long ride. Sane battery so less ride time with the new power output.

    I have been told that with this new bike, in order to get full power from turbo mode you have to go into Mission Control and set it. Out of the box you get pretty much the same power as trail mode. That’s the way it comes set up.

    • @koho
      @koho ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Nope. I have the "old" SL (best bike I've ever had!), and just pushed the new one on a short ride. Much more power in the factory settings. Also, much quieter and I liked the feel of the mullet. Noticeably deeper suspension.

    • @border304

      @@jaselikesbikes I think the idea is that the battery will last the same as the original SL with the new one at 80%. Obviously the gen2 has 40% more vroom.
      Should be pretty straight forward. I've got the full fat Turbo Levo and setting up the 3 levels was easy enough. I'm thinking 90nm is more torque then I need tbh.

      It's quieter for sure but you're not fooling anyone when you pass another biker or hiker unless you turn the motor off. My opinion is that the motor noise reduction is nice but hardly a game ganger. The rest of the bike is slightly better in every way.
