For when you have no adjustable wrench of any kind, no actual chain clamp, no kind of universal wrench, but you do have a bunch of hardware, a power drill, and a perfectly sized drive chain. Very practical.

I could actually use something like this to hold a drive shaft while I removed an impeller off of a pump. I'm a pump mechanic. I use a chain wrench but sometimes it slips off. This could be useful. I will make one and test it.

Wrenches or an adjustable wrench they even have long handles so you can get some torque on it.
it's never a reasonable DIY when you have good tools and use them to make lesser quality tools
