I am thinking the same. Much Better to go and buy the right tool for the job and way quicker to go buy it. They also get made by companies in the trade that tests them to be safe, work properly and correct. Maybe for people that have too much spare time on their hands and a back yard full of scrap to make stuff.

Отрезные круги надо ставить картинкой, металлической шайбой наружу, тогда гайка легко всегда открутится ключом. Если сильно затянулся круг, чего не бывает при правильной установке, то нужно за лыску на оси вторым ключом держать, потом откручивать. Ни в коем случае не пользоваться фиксатором-кнопкой, так как вы не сломаете..

I have a chain saw wheel on my grinder , it works really good but u better hace tight grip on the grinder . They can be dangerous I made some real nice benches from.logs and other things.

Haha, you’re right! Plastic anchors can be a bit iffy for something like a door return. For heavier stuff, you definitely want something more sturdy. What kind of anchors do you recommend for this kind of project?

Toggle bolts might work, but I couldn't tell if there was enough space for the toggle expansion. Self drilling toggles suitably sized might work. The surface of the sluminumcould be reinforced with a layer of sheet steel. This would spread the stress of the screws over a wider area and give the hole rims greater strength.

Если сильно затянулся круг, чего не бывает при правильной установке, то нужно за лыску на оси вторым ключом держать, потом откручивать. Wenn es aber wirklich etwas aushalten muss, kommt man um die ständige Schweißnaht nicht herum. Eine saubere, durchgehende Naht sorgt einfach für die nötige Festigkeit und Stabilität.

First one you don’t need to alter a spanner. Just wrap the chain around the pipe and thread both ends through a ring spanner...same result.

Haha, you’re right! Plastic anchors can be a bit iffy for something like a door return. For heavier stuff, you definitely want something more sturdy. What kind of anchors do you recommend for this kind of project?
@@TrendDIY It depends on the material of the surface to which the return is to be anchored. If it was aluminum, self-tapping screws would be risky. Toggle bolts might work, but I couldn't tell if there was enough space for the toggle expansion. Self drilling toggles suitably sized might work. The surface of the sluminumcould be reinforced with a layer of sheet steel. This would spread the stress of the screws over a wider area and give the hole rims greater strength.
