As long as your motivation is the love of the game you guys will continue to provide a valuable service to the sport, just like Drew. All hot takes aside, it’s the passion for the game that keeps us steadily growing while the “fastest growing sport” claims come and go. I look forward to the Go Throw series, & can see a future where the top tier events are exclusively held on private property courses that can invest what it will take to elevate the tournament experience for players and fans. Municipal park/legacy courses need to be phased out if we want Professional Disc Golf to take the best next step forward.
Yes, but do see public but State owned Disc golf Parks where the Disc Golf is separate from the rest of park often in parts nobody wants to play as part of the way forward for the current DGPT/a new tour, as there is not enough fully private courses on tour unless they allow for a high end tour some no pad courses on everyone welcome ski resorts where one hole is always a gimmick down the ski slope and are willing to allow camping on part of the property if big enough. Most of these courses do use semi-private on the DGPT already but they are on golf courses being either Municipal Semi-Private or open to those willing to pay a fee to play. Keeping the PDGA in for this new tour is important becuse of how a previous Pro tour that lasted one stop, the old Pro Disc Golf Tour (PDGT) did not have a PDGA for anything so in the one event they did, some of the people not sponsored/sponsored by a company willing to have an open bag were using Aerobe's/Jr model or the clones from Wham-O thus making the discs limit crap for distance as now a mile or more was needed and people using the Dangerous illegal runs of discs that came out too stiff and/or too high of weight, so if another player was hit they could kill people. Disc Golf is not the current fastest Growing sport, as that looks like it is Ultimate having 1--2 major leagues each year with one of them being fully Pro the one still standing that absorbed the Major League Ultimate and is Woking to be the premier league while the other more recent is more a feeder system for the big Pro one being Semi-Pro/minor league in a way. Also plans for having as an event on the 2028 Olympics calendar as so many countries play the sport, some of them in Europe, Australia with one, or USA/North America having leagues for said sport, Ultimate. Disc golf is a close second but mostly on the Pro Side/Private Courses.
Absolutely love your takes consistently. Keep up the good work. There are definitely people in the community who are overly passionate about protecting established systems in dg and many people taking advantage of a money opportunity through more love of money than the sport. I love the idea of more competition for pro tours and even sanctioning bodies.
You know GKPro is helping be the main film group for the new Go Throw tour will help and have agreed to be the exclusive main partner for the events willing to sign a clause saying they are doing so for the new brand using TH-cam and go Subscription for the week of tournament. The other is that they will use the PDGA rules on this new Go Throw tour so as to keep the rules fair so nobody is using illegal discs that are dangerous/not fair like the old Quest AT discs or Aerobie/Jr and similar discs that could have it so they need to build 1 mile long courses/courses that have so much woods it is throw & hope for the course that can't be shown on TV at all because the woods are that dense with nowhere to film.
so it was explained that this was a clerical error. it was confirmed on staggered stance by the CEO..whats next? "a player hits another player" title but only come to find out later that a slip and fall caused a player to reach out and accidentally hit another player.........one step forward one step back
Any chump calling anything "toxic" as a criticism is instantly ignored. Only lil babies call things toxic as a dismissal. From what I can tell (as an old man) anything that doesn't agree with a gen Z's opinion is toxic. Keep the toxicity coming bros😂
I agree 100% is that Gen Z wants the extremes of every side nothing else they pick these sides and if you are somewhere in between for the oldest of the Gen Z you get called Toxic/Woke trying to stir up drama picking a side.
Right, and I guess being the issue we can't see is DGPT being forced to be the PDGA top tour being forced to pay into the PDGA as Extortion per one of the latest DGPT rules of having all Profits going to the PDGA but the PDGA having better lawyers the DGPT can't win the ruling knowing that even if allowed to be taken to the Regional Federal courts in the USA the DGPT will not win given where PDGA is located in Georgia done in the 2000's on purpose the move from California to Georgia when the official Disc Golf Hall of Fame was established here and PDGA NT was established same for moving other parts from where the USDGC was located, the second biggest event on the PDGA calendar at the time. I mean prior to having the PDGA NT byout/merge with the DGPT and having things change for PDGA rules made only for the DGPT, the big Pro Tour was breaking even for the first time even after big buys like the Extender for live coverage with live coverage/being an exclusive on a disc golf streaming service being an issue is hampering the Disc Golf Pro Tour. I could see a bigger streaming service, even TH-cam subscriber for the live then do a non live for the DGPT/PDGA free on the service. I knew as soon as DGN got the rights to the DGPT the events were going to drop off when the Jomez non live got bought out in 2021, it got even worse when the PDGA Started Making a few rules after the buyout/merger of the old PDGA NT.
So splitting a tour that is already meh to watch is splitting into 2 tours which has maybe 20 players total that are fun to watch. Never seen a sport be handled so terrible from top to bottom.
Problem is that DGPT is just even where MAGA Disc Golf players and MAGA Libertarians will say going woke killed it but, the fact is not this really but the factors leading to the DGPT not making money by doing poor decisions over and over again and then having the PDGA demand $$$ to be the exclusive but not in The way we see more like Extortion money from DGPT by people in PDGA writing rules for just the taking of all extra money. The PDGA no longer needs to be a non profit, did not need to be since the National Tour was announced during the end of the Climo Era.
I appreciate you guys giving my Drew love comment a rotation. Stay tuned. I’m fitting to get a lot more vocal as I start to feeling better. I’m disabled now but I’m still able to beat most MP3 players ha ha and I’m 55 lol I’m not even close to putting my foot in my mouth yet.

"A blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut"= drew gibson in this piece.
Love how you're showing Go Throw's Puerto Rico Open the whole time. LOL!

They are in bed together. DGPT is supposed to be the cash cow for PDGA not the players.
