You can't really share the post with friends privacy to the Facebook or any other social media for that matter because the privacy level does not allow it. You can only share Public posts.

Maybe I have done something wrong, but it also seem to require I verify my business and I am not eligible to be verified, so that sucks. The interface has changed significantly since this video, so I might have done something differently than you in my attempt trying to guess how it works with the new design :) any input is much appreciated

Not really, you just login at the developer subdomain / console with your existing account, no need to create new one.
