I seem to have about 3/4 of an inch of free space outside the left and right sidebars. Can we widen the central panel a bit so the whole thing takes up a bit more of the screen?
Of course. Go to Gecko Theme Customizer -> Theme -> Layout
Find the option "Layout width"
You can increase the width of entire site there, or change the pixel values to %
Making it 100% will always stretch the site trough entire available screen, no matter how big or wide that screen is, while it might look good on 15 inch screens be mindful of 27+ inch displays.

Hi. Couple of questions. 1) image uploading. When we upload an image to twitter or to facebook, it's automatically reduced in dimensions, not just compressed. Obviously to save hosting space on twitter and facebook. Does the Peepso image uploader do this, too? Or, if not, do you know of a plugin that would reduce image dimensions as opposed to compressing the images? In other words, during upload, a 2000 z 2000 pixel image might be automatically reduced to say, 800 x 800. 2) Video uploads. Does Peepso currently reduce video dimensions when videos are uploaded? Because it's an effort we undertake at twitter, for example, to reduce video MB and duration, in order to upload a video. Right now, since I don't have Zuckerberg's wallet, I can't afford to pay hosting for unlimited video uploads in Peepso, so I am planning to exclude that module or feature. Unless Peepso does reduce videos automatically; and if not, maybe that idea would be considered for a future feature; along with automatic re-dimensioning of membrs' images during upload.

Let me tackle your questions so it will be easy to understand them.
In order to upload image on a web server, that image has to go trough image processor, like GD2 or Imagemagick - These are little software pieces that are by default installed on Linux servers and they "tell" the OS that this website it is hosted there wants to upload images. Facebook itself does it, yes, but not because they want to ruin our images, but because we simply didn't found the way to upload images through PHP script, without using image processors. That being said, quality loss will happen, all the time you upload image anywhere on the internet.
Furthermore, you can tweak additional image quality and maximum image resolution in PeepSo - those setting will apply to newly uploaded images, as we can't retroactively apply it to those that are already uploaded.
Same thing goes for videos, at least if you wish every single video format to be processed and played in browser. There is one option that allows you to upload raw video - as they are - and PeepSo will try to play them, but we recommend that you either use FFMPEG or Amazon Transcoder to convert your videos and control their size
I love Peepso. But how could I change the order of icons in "PeepSo UserBar"?
In my site I have PeepsSp 6.0.1.0 and my userbar is as follow:
1. friends requests;
2. messages;
3. notifications;
4. avatar profile;
5. user dropdown menu;
6. logout.
I'd like a userbar with the same order of the video.
How could I change icons order?

You can try to change the order of profile tabs and hence links in PeepSo -> Configuration -> Appearance -> Profile Tabs Order
If that doesn't work, you can always do it trough filters www.peepso.com/documentation/filter-profile-navigation-order/
Is there a way to make posts searcheable without the user having to create an account?
You can set up the new search feature from early access, that will give you the option to search for posts like non-registered user, but that addon is not part of the Free Bundle
Hello. Can someone really manage to create a community - be it small- with your free plugin? Because I tried, but every-time someone tries to register to my embryonic social network website, it first tells that user registered, an email has been sent into your email...someone open their inboxes, click to confirm the email, but when they go back to the website to login as a user, it is impossible to login in! Is it my unfortunate experience or it is just like that to push people to buy paid plan?
No, that is definitely not correct, nor any kind of hidden push towards the paid bundle.

Make a fully functional backup before you do, but generally you should be fine as long as your current version is not couple of years old :)

Well, we just gave you like 95% of features from the paid plugin, for free, you didn't even have to make an account with us in order to grab it, and you complain about the "Powered by PeepSo"?
You can't please everyone i guess.
By the way, it's an upgradeable product, if you don't like what it has to offer you won't use it, but if you like what it has to offer and you want to keep using it, then you can always pay for license to remove Powered By backlinks.
