I left 20ys of depression behind years ago. But every now and again, I allow myself to slip back into the feeling just so I can remember why I worked so hard to get where I am now. I have mental tools to pull myself out of it, but every emotion is worth feeling when it is warranted. This song fits that feeling so perfectly. "My head is in my own hell... Getting tired of my own words." Those negative words I can change at any time, but I let them sing "because I'm kinda helpless and I need you." I make the choice, but I kinda enjoy the change and the reminder once in awhile. I get to smile and call them all liars, and sometimes I need that.
Finally someone that says they deliberately slip back into it. Im working every day to leave the darkness but it's also the "me" I know best - what is life without this darkness? It's a struggle to let it go, because it means letting go of "the one on your shoulder" - so yes. I allow myself to slip back into it sometimes,-
It's important to know how you got from there to here. If it helps you remember without descending back into the morass of your depression then it's good.

This game is the first piece of media in which I *loved the ENTIRE* OST. Other times this song is great that song is nice but in Death Stranding ALL soundtracks are beautiful.
The story I hear: Someone who has always been the strong one who hid their hurt finally broke. They showed the world their pain, and it destroyed the person they were. They’re desperate for someone to remind them of who they are, but they don’t know who that is anymore. They feel destroyed. Their lives are gone as they were. They want nothing more than to fade to nothing. They want to vanish.

I feel weird mentioning an anime song, but Unravel (Tokyo Ghoul) would be a great listen to anyone relating to stories and/or real life situations of doing one's best to do good and be there for others but ultimately losing hope. Doing what they can to hold on to their identity, but in the end losing sight of who they are and wanting to disappear than to inflict pain on others.

BRILLIANT
Just rent it, the gameplay is alright but the multiplayerish aspect of this game where you help others with structures really makes you feel connected, and the story picks up after the 3rd episode and it gets insane. There are tons of moments were you just vibe because of how beautiful the atmosphere is and if a player builds a structure and puts this song on it. It's like a surreal experience.
Imagine being in the One Direction fandom as well and we are getting rn so much content and now this and these artist know how most of us feel and i just wish they dont feel pain. I love them all so mich and im thankful they exist and giving the world such masterpieces.🙏💖

I've listened this music more than 500 times and it keeps amazing like if the first time I listen. Missio + Death Stranding was the perfect crossover!
This is a favorite. Perfect example of their sound and what they're all about. Matt and David: thank you for becoming part of my life. This happens from time to time, band to band. When I can relate to every word you say, you become the background music to the story of MY story. I feel fortunate to have discovered you back in 2017, I can't believe I'm 5 years on this ride now...i've really gotten to know you as people, watching your documentaries, listening to the sounds and the words....I'm just grateful each time a new single is dropped, I'm running to you...I get a charge out of it. I can't believe I'm the only one who actuay NEEDS your reassurance that we're NOT alone. There's at least a couple real guys with real reason, direction, focus, that I can relate to. We all need that at some time or another, or all the time if you're me. Thanks again. This is so different, but not a bad different, more of like there's so many songs that there's going to be some that sound very similar. This is just so unique. ❤

I found this song on a shuffle playlist and it was listed as "Various Artists". THIS song alone was what made me buy Death Stranding and holy hell does it fit well. I've been going through all of MISSIO's songs and all of them have been bangers!
