How to regrow store-bought Taro Root in Polybags, from planting to harvest

Today we are going to regrow Taro in polybag
This is Xanthosoma sagittifolium also known as American Taro, Malanga, or Gabi. Its very simple, just cut the top parts and plant it in soil
water adequately, then place it on shaded area
after 2 weeks, transfer the plant to a large container
the bigger the container the better the result will be
we use soil and compost (1:1) as medium, you can also use other mixture, as long as its good in retaining water
Taro needs adequate water to grow well
after one month the plant has grown large
after 5 months, many young plants have grown surrounding the parent plant
we can separate and plant it in different container and we will have many new Taro plants
when planted in garden or a very large container, it will multiply indefinitely
after 8 months the roots ca be harvested
this type of Taro takes so long to harvest, because the roots taste good only after 8 months
unlike smaller taro that usually takes only 3 months to harvest
if harvested too early this type of Taro doesn't taste good and most people find it inedible
as you can see the tuber has grown out of the soil, this means the container is not big enough
you can regrow a whole new plant with this young plants
this is tuber from one Taro plant
this type of Taro yields little with very long harvesting time
so we recommend planting smaller Taro instead, with shorter harvesting time and more yields
