Great review. You confirmed exactly what I thought about the Nike sole when I saw a picture of it online. I agree, having a solid platform is so important to comfort, longevity, and power generation when cycling. Nike should probably get feedback from cycling athletes when designing cycling shoes, the way they do for other sports.
I was excited getting the super rep 2, especially on sale for 80$/€ but all you say makes sense unlike those reviewers who seem to be super hyped about nothing. Thanks!

Well I greatly appreciate it. I just purchased the Nike's, looks like I will be sending them back. Im still in the process of therapy from a knee surgery but I have been cleared to do straightforward exercises, can't afford anymore Injuries.
Good idea. I'd definitely recommend visiting a cycle shop that carries a lot of shoes so you can test them out and potentially find a good footbed at an athlete shoe store.
Picked up a pair on sale for 40 bucks at an outlet so these are fine for me haha. if you're an average/ novice intermediate rider you will be fine. I even use them outdoors and they are fine. don't over think it

@@matthewrideout2677 Bro they are not that bad relax lol... This is coming from someone who rides with Sidi carbons and Rapha Pro's lmao I needed a pair for a weekend ride and forgot my shoes. Stopped by a nike outlet to pick up a few joggers and saw these. Can't beat the sale price. $40?! C'mon bro. I've easily done about 50 mi peloton/ 50 on my Cinelli. they are super comfortable and even more breathable than my daily's. I'm just using them until i break them so I don't wear down my expensive pairs lol.
I roll at 28-32km/hr and do 30-50km each ride with them outdoor and they are great. Funny to see the indoor cyclist returning such a good pair of shoes because of a review from someone who most hasn't even tried them on. 😂

I use them outdoors only and I do challenging rides. Avg pace 20 MPH over 20+ miles. I haven't had a problem yet.

I'm at a 300 rides with the Nike SuperRep Cycle 2 and they feel great.

Velcro fastenings are poor and have failed/unpeeled. A pair of Shimanos would be a far better investment.
I just bought the nike becauseee they were on sale, damn:(( havent worn them yet but now im bummed. Its so hard finding shoes since i have wide feet 😢
