    Thanks for comparing their sizing to the metcons. It‘s helping to know they run true to typical nike size.

      Thanks! I believe they’re designed for indoor mainly. I don’t know if they’ll protect/ support your foot in a fall from a bike.

    Hi Kayleigh , I had my daughter order the shoes for me. When I ordered them a size 9 1/2 thinking they would fit just right they fit me a little snug. I was able to return them for a size 10. They fit perfectly fine but the clips on the bottom they sent along with shoe , don’t seem to be complete. Am I supposed to order the clips separately? And if so where do I order them from ? She said she doesn’t see the clips on the Nike website? I’m so sad. 😩 Thank you Kayleigh just loving your videos!!!!🌷💕

    • @kaleigh
      @kaleigh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Olivia! Glad you got the right size and yes! The cleats will come separate! It does get a little confusing because there are different styles and pieces that have to come together! You’ll have to confirm what your pedals will be compatible with to decide what cleats to get! I use the Shimano SPD cleats.

    Hey @Kaleigh, would you mind letting me know if these shoes are good for Rogue's Echo Bike. I am not sure if its a different type of bike where these cleat-type shoes aren't what its intended for.

    • @kaleigh
      @kaleigh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Aaron! I have never used a Rogue Echo Bike before, but I googled to have a look! Nike advertises these as indoor cycling shoes, and the Echo Bike has the add-on for pedals that would fit this shoe. My personal opinion is that these shoes would work for the Echo Bike too! And possibly even give you more power in the pedal stroke. Again, I haven’t been on that bike, so wouldn’t be able to compare the feeling between a spin bike and the Echo in the shoe, but Rogue doesn’t seem to specify one shoe that it works best with.

      Hi Nick! No, I don’t have any bike reviews, however, the bike I have now is a Stages, bike! It is really a great bike and I would highly recommend it. I’ve also done lots of research and comparison on Amazon and have included several bikes on my Amazon store as well! I believe for almost all of the bikes the weight range is up to 280lbs, however most bikes refer to inseam for height in this situation! I’ll share the link to my store, in case that would be helpful! www.amazon.com/shop/kaleighcohenfitness

    Hi, Kaleigh! Love, love, love your channel!
    Been thinking about getting spin shoes, BUT, I wear custom orthotics in my running shoes. While this has been one of the best decisions ever (I need my feet to last!), I wonder how that will translate with cycling shoes?? Is that a thing?

    • @kaleigh
      @kaleigh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a really good question!!! I have orthotics too and when I was looking to get cycling shoes for my road bike, I tried the orthotics in that pair and it worked just fine! I haven’t tried to put them in the Nike super rep cycle shoes though. I’ll test it in the morning and see how it goes! I will say though, I would imagine that if you did go for the Nikes, you may want to order up a 1/2 or full size. I’ve heard several times they run small, I got my normal size and they fit ok, but with my orthotics, I think it would be a squeeze!

  • @jsoltol1059

    Just got my pair and brought them to a bike shop. Woman says, "These aren't really spin shoes...". Then charges me close to $50 for adapters, cleats, and labor. Whines about the shoes being "hard to install cleats on." I told her get used to it, because these are fairly new to the market and she might be seeing then again. I think I got robbed since you have the same exact cleat (SPD) installed WITHOUT adapters. By the way, NO ONE in my entire spin class including the instructor knew how to refer to them as SPD, only as standard spin cleats. Think I need to invest in my own bike and cleat install next time 🙄

    • @kaleigh
      @kaleigh  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow! That’s interesting. I’m curious what adapter. My shoes came with everything to mount SPD cleats or delta style cleats and they were very easy to install. Hope you like those shoes! I know I do!

    • @maarcoooo
      @maarcoooo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow. Not knowing they’re called SPD lol “Shimano pedaling dynamic” 😂 and there is also spd-sl. Next time just go to REI and buy cleats. They’re like 10 bucks and installation is easy but a little bit of a hassle because you have to get your foot position right but still pretty easy.

    So I’m about to purchase a peloton as we speak and dont know much about the shoes. I really like how the Nike ones look, compared to the peloton brand. Also looks lighter. The peloton shoes are $125 and comes with cleats. Nike is $120, but no cleats. If I were to get the Nike ones, any suggestions on what type of cleats I should get? That would work best for the peloton bike?

    Background: I have dedicated specialized cleats but I like Nike so I wouldn’t mind buying a second pair and these are also inexpensive compared to giro, specialized, Rapha etc.
