Well said Matt..LISS also could be used as recovery for intense workouts or as reducing the volume of training plan. Thanks again.
Good video. I generally agree with the AHA which says to find an exercise you enjoy and do it and pepper in a little strength training regardless of which exercise you choose. If you have more fun going to HIIT classes than going out for a slow jog in the park, do that. But everybody needs to lift a little too.
Very well explained! Thanks for sharing this with us all!!!
You’re welcome!
LISS improves fat metabolism, recovery abilities, brain metabolism, and overall cardiovascular efficiency. 30 minutes a day meets aerobic activity guidelines.
good job matt!!
Thanks!
Can you do HIIT with leg extension machine alone as long as you keep your heart rate up??
No. It's not the same effect. When you use kettlebells, circuit training, or other weights for cardio you typically end up with the peripheral vascular resistance resisting the blood flow to cause an increase in heart rate beyond the oxygen demand to the muscles. So you may end up with a heart rate of say 80% but the cardiovascular training response is more typical of the same time of aerobic work at say 60% of heart rate max. Similar situation to how you could have anxiety and heart rate could go up without correlating with a high oxygen demand to the muscles and therefore providing no cardiovascular training effect.
Which one is better for fat loss?
Whichever allows you to reach a calorie deficit. Either can do that equally well
how can I improve my 1.5 mile run on a assault bike
To make it most specific to 1.5 mile run I would do some low intensity with layered in efforts. Such as 20 minutes with a 1 minute hard effort every 4 minutes
