- In this clip, we talk about how Him and Benny Boom were tasked with making the video for "Got yourself a Gun." This was a sensitive thing because they wanted to make a video that represented the song properly and not ignite the already got beef between Jay Z and Nas.

That video didn't cool down anything because Ether dropped right after on Jay's birthday, which made Jay go record Supa Ugly and lose the battle. And Ether was way more direct than the song Got Yourself A Gun.

They spoke about the tension brewing and decided to cool it down because they didn’t know what the after effects would be. Nas exact words. I think what made Jay break the agreement is Jay claims he heard Nas talkin wreckless about him and Bleek on a LA radio station and that made him finally decide to openly go at him instead of subliminally. I just woke up in the morning and got the yearning for herb, which loosens up the nouns, metaphors and verbs... then I got a recommendation for this video. Interesting. I never knew that "Got Yourself a Gun" was a reference to Jay Z. I need to go back and listen to it.
