@@Nightreaper86Literally tho. My first campaign was with Zhatan and my two Dreadquakes and two Magma cannons were doing more than enough. My Infernal Guard were bored af, they barely touched combat lol. Almost nothing reached the front lines and i had just 4 war machines and it still was overkill.
As for you saying "how did i miss this" the answer is quite simple: its not a mainstream genre. Its a nieche but dedicated audience.

Zombies are present in two of the undead factions (the Vampire Counts and the Vampire Coast - the Counts where introduced in the first game, the Dawn of the Vampire Coast trailer was in the second video). The creatures in this trailer are daemons and part of one of the Chaos factions, in this case Tzeentch (Tzeentch is one of the four main Chaos Gods).
16:23 Not Orcs, Ogres. Orcs are part of the Greenskin faction and where introduced in Total War: Warhammer 1. Ogres are an entirely different species.
21:28 That would be the people at Games Workshop. Warhammer is originally a strategy tabletop game, not a video game. There are different versions of settings: Warhammer Fantasy Battles (the original game, discontinued in 2015 - the Total War: Warhammer games are based on this setting); Age of Sigmar, a newer setting that replaced the first one; and Warhammer 40,000 which takes place in the distant future, basically a SciFi/Fantasy setting and the most successfull TT wargame of all times. In addition to that there's a Tabletop RPG (set in the Warhammer Fantasy setting, the RPG is currently in its 4th edition), a lot of other video games (including popular games like Vermintide) and the upcoming Warhammer_ The Old World which is a revival of the Warhammer Fantasy setting.
Going from « Find me, son of Kislev » to « Do what you must, son of Chaos » was epic. Especially how it was delivered.
17:56 that is the voice of a follower of Nurgle, god of disease and despair, Nurgle is sometimes called the grandfather and his cultists say he loves them, Nurgle represents giving in to despair, letting go of all hope and chance to change your faith, altough the cultists say they find comfort in this Nurgle blesses them with horrid mutations and disseases (gifts) while making them resistant to pain.
Nurgle represents the fact that everything will decay, rot and die and that from rot and decay new life will spring forth. He genuinely cares for all life, including microscopic life.
Nurgle doesn't represent giving into despair, he represents giving into the inevitability that is death and rot, finding peace in knowing what your fate will be, and hates Tzeench because Tzeench can alter that.

In the Cathay trailers, they don't turn into dragons... they are dragons that have turned into a human. ALL of Cathay is ruled by celestial dragons who have taken human form.
The blue faction that seemed weirdly animalistic is one of the 4 main Daemon factions. Tzeench, to be exact.
Quick explanation of the different daemons:
Red Daemons: Khorne, daemons of rage, and bloodlust
Blue Daemons: Tzeench, Daemons of Magic and Change
Purple Daemons: Slaanesh, Daemons of Excess and... well, you should get the latter part by their getup.
Green Daemons: Nurgle, Daemons of Plague, Pestilence and death.
17:45 the statues btw also illustrate slaanesh and their corrupting influence, as the god of excess they represent everything to the extreme, one of their followers might for example be a painter wishing to make more lifelike paintings, the artist will go to greater and greater lengths to do so until it becomes pure horror, slaaneshi corruption is one of the most insidious ones

the best game I've ever played. The community is nice too. I've spent over 6,000 hours in it already and still can't get enough. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Lol. Such a great game. So great that it only took years and a player boycott for CA to work on basic fucking bug fixes after putting out trash updates, overpriced scam DLCs, and throwing a fit when the community called them out on it.
WH3 is a disappointment and CA is a sinking ship, judging by their financial situation, cancelations, and layoffs. I'll put another 1000 hours into WH2 or Shogun 2 before I put even 10 more into WH3.

Really enjoyed your reaction to the official trailers! The in-engine stuff isn't 100% accurate to the actual gameplay, but it is REALLY close.
If you're interested in seeing some cool bits, I really recommend watching things like the sync-kill compilation videos. A channel called DyslexicEphelant has probably the most up to date compilation, but the animation work in the game is honestly stellar.
A channel called EngagingBear also uploads some cool videos of the games too. They are 100% acrual gameplay, but recorded and edited in a cinematic way. Really worth giving a watch if you have time.

My personal favorite was grand cathay. Her voice actress really did such an amazing job and her monologue is on par with The Horus Heresy trailer for me.

are all really good and i'd love to see your reaction, of those, Darktide, Space Marine 2, and mechanicus are video games, whereas the other three are for the tabletop. the cinematics are fucking fire though. I think i have them posted in the chronological order where it matters.

Tha t is basicallyt what happened Kugath saved the advisor as a way to spite Tzeench and when Nkari found out that Nurgle's favored Great Unclean one interfered he became enraged and attacked Kugath's part of the Nurgle realm
Well the total war ride is now over i guess. hopefully you enjoyed, only other stuff you could watch from these games would be the intro cinematics for each character or the story cutscenes.
In short, there's 4 "evil" gods that make up the forces of Chaos, they all control their own army of daemons. They're generally associated with a specific colour.
Khorne, the blood god is red, He's all about strength, melee, honour and blood. He doesn't care where it comes from, as long as it flows.
Tzeentch, the changer of ways is blue, He's all about magic, fate and deception, everchanging to be truly unknowable.
Slaanesh, the Prince of Pleasure is purple, They like excessive amounts of any emotion, whether that's happiness, sadness or pain. They tend to be quick and painful.
Nurgle, The plaguefather, He's all about disease and decay, concocting ever more lethal plagues is his favourite passtime. His daemons are slow and tanky, letting poison kill you while they stand there and laugh.
There was also that Godslayer Character, he represents Chaos Undivided, Using the daemons from all four of those prior Chaos Gods, But like all jack of all trades, Good at everything, Master at none.

Warhammer does actually have green Orcs. The big cannibal lads are the Ogres. They hangry. The Orcs are also a load of fun tho.
By the way: It's not that you have to buy the game to find out more about the characters but that they are established characters from the Warhammer IP and therefore it is assumed that most people will either already know them or look them up if interested.
If you want to get into the games keep in mind you don't need to buy everything (which would cost quite a bit). All 3 games have their own factions as you have seen and then you have mortal empires in wh2 which combines wh1 and wh2, and immortal empires in wh3 which combines all 3 games. Mortal empires requires wh1 and wh2, but immortal empires only requires wh3. Beyond that you only need to buy whatever you want to play as, you can play against all other factions regardless. For instance if you own wh3 but not wh2 then you can't play as the lizardmen, but you can still fight against them

One interesting detail can be noticed in the Immortal Empires trailer. When everyone starts quarreling, the representatives of Kislev and Cathay simply leave, not wanting to participate in this farce. They have more important things to do, for they are the shield that protects the rest of the world from the incursions of Chaos.
You can also see gnomes and high elves fighting on the same side, which in itself is surprising, because these two peoples are irreconcilable enemies.

Not sure if someone has mentioned it yet but that Ogre you saw being carted around in the trailers is Greasus Goldtooth. Despite the fact that he's being pushed around in a wheelbarrow he is one of the fiercest and most legendary Ogre warlords to ever live. He has like 10 titles that list his accomplishments, amongst them the fact that he choked a dragon to death with his bare hands and smashes down gates with his strength. He is the richest Ogre alive and probably one of the richest people in the setting, literally accumulating money faster than his servants can count and saying that he's "too rich to walk" which is why he's carted around by his servants.

Enjoyed seeing someone new react to Warhammer stuff. Keep it up and if you ever have questions about Warhammer, most people in the community are pretty friendly.

It's kind of hard to some up a lot of this in a nutshell because every faction has all this lore stuffed into them. With I think this franchise was created in the late 70s so there is a lot of lore. With Chaos I guess it's a little simpler. They are all kind of beholden to their aspects so Nurgle stuff look like big puss bags that exist to spread disease, that pretty much what they are about.
Just in general though you have a lot of factions or races that have sub factions in them. These sub factions technically should be on the same side but, well you know, people. Like Chaos is divvied up into 4 factions and I'm not going to go into the Great Game but each Chaos God is kind of actively weaking each other by constant waring which gives the mortal races a better chance at defeating them (on paper at least). That's why Chaos Undivided is scary and called that. It's Chaos without the in fighting which gives you access to all 4 powers at the same time.
It's kind of the same thing with other factions. Yeah a lot of them have common goals but they have their own territories to worry about and besides, if your neighbor happens to get almost destroyed then you might as well annex all their land for your kingdom. For their own good of course.
But yeah even though it's an old franchise use as an ip for a branch off to a pretty acclaimed game series, it's still an rts based on a table top franchise and really how many rts do people really know about? How many get up to Legend of Zelda or CoD levels of influence? Maybe Starcraft but that's about it.

The Daemon Prince in the Chaos Undivided trailer is the dark haired brother from the Sons of Kislev Trailer. He eventually fell to corruption, sacrificed his own brother, and killed the very god (Ursun) that he set out to save.
Immortal Empires got me. It goes hard man, just the shorts of all the baddies. My favorite is Gortek and Felix facing down Ka'Bandha and 2 other blood thirsters. Fuckin cool.

Ogre? Cannibal? Nah...they eat everything that's MEAT. They even have a gut spell to make daemon stay in the material realm, cause normally, when daemon die their spirit and material form are vanished back to their realm. But ogre mastery in guts spell are so good, they make dead daemon stay, JUST to eat them!
Ogre does eat each other, if they are very hungry, or just casually grabs their Gnoblar servant up from the ground to eat like a snack.
I mean, strategy games are fairly niech. Nowhere near the base of MMOs or Arcade shooters. So makes sense you don't hear about it as much.
You better have a good PC if you want to play it. This game is great but really heavy on the hardware.

warhammer 3 immortal empire is a collection of all the factions from 1 2 and 3 on a giant ass map. in order to play some of them u have to own the dlcs or game 1 and 2. u dont need all of them just the one for the faction u want to play. warhammer 3 has some of the ones u seen like kisliv cathay and some of the demons. if u dont own any of them but looking at starting start with warhammer 3 total war so u can get immortal empires which is the best part of the game. then buy the dlc or game that has the faction u want to play in immortal empires. u can unlock as u go. i own all of them mysef bought them when they went on sale after immortal empires released

14:37 They are the daemons of Tzeentch. The daemons have 4 lets say species that come from each of the 4 chaos gods, you saw the Daemons of rage first.
These are the Daemons of magic, ( I'm REALLY boiling it down ) the horrors are the basic daemons, they love to throw fireballs, and they look like the ghosts from ghost busters, with the voices of the gremlins.
The flame thrower daemons are the mid tier, the mutants are chaos spawn, humans that got too many mutations from the corresponding chaos god, becoming a mutated mess.
The Big Birds are the Greater daemons aka Lords of change, with the two headed one being the most powerful.

OGRES not ORKS. Lol sorry. There is plenty of fiction that makes distinctions between the two. Also you missed the most recent trailer, Shadows of Change.

for the Tzeentch reaction; how did you come to a zombie mixed with animals conclusion? what you saw were all daemons and worshippers of Tzeentch. if you got the zombie idea from the Horrors, the things with multiple limbs around 13:47, they're daemons who are the frontline troops and they have a very nasty ability in the lore. I think there are only three types of Horrors: Pink, Blue and Brimstone. each has a different temperament but when you kill a Pink Horror, it creates two Blues that will spawn two Brimstones each if they're also slain. edit: the Chaos Dwarves have stuff like the last massive war machine because 1: they're engineers. dwarves in every setting loves to craft. but the Chaos Dwarves also worship the minor Chaos creature called Hashut
The cinematics are fire but the second game was peak, this game also was poorly received due to several issues.
