So it seems like there is a tilt mechanism in the base, a bit of flex where the back rest connects to the seat (letting the back rest tilt back more than the seat) as well as the linear mechanism for the backrest. Does this achieve anything different compared to a synchronous chair where the seat moves forward (rather than the backrest moving backwards)?
How good is the footrest actually, compared to kicking up on an ottoman?
They've got to set a limit somewhere, but I suppose whether they can tweak the design to accommodate a wider range of heights depends on whether that would significantly affect the cost. At least height is likely to pose the designers less of an issue than weight, although if they did special variants that ventured into the "big and tall" marketplace they might do well as this is a specialist area where people already expect to pay more, not to mention office departments being leaned on by an Occupational Therapy officer. We had one at work designed to take 40 stone. Two of us were able to sit on it side by side, and that was with armrests in the way. I've no idea how much was shelled out for that.

Have you had any problems with your height for this chair? I'm 6' 2", and every office chair I've used so far the lumbar support is too low for me unless I slouch.
Also does anyone here have any experience with this company? I'm skeptical as it's a kickstarter, along with the possibility of the chair not fitting me well.

It’s a difficult one! I like both for different reasons. This is great for the innovations around the desk, and also the hybrid materials used, but then the hinomi with the adaptable arms and ability to fold is really handy!

Can you lock the tilt at multiple angles, or just one? I believe the first version of this chair could be locked at 5 different angles, so I was wondering if they kept that feature. Thanks!
You can lock the tilt in about 5 positions for 6 months, then the tilt teeth break off and the back is free-tilt after that. another two months and the lift cylinder starts leaking... crappy chair.
How have you had it two months… the kickstarter has only just ended? 👀

I've been trying for a while to get ahold of someone at Newtral to get warranty support for a chair that had a weld fail within 6 months of receiving it? All I've managed to do is get added to mailing lists. I guess I could post a video review....
Do it! Would love to see your thoughts. Couldn’t find many examples of people needing to use the warranty as I mentioned in the episode, so would be good for the community. 👍

Cheers! 🥃 it’s actually a custom piece designed by me and made by a company called ‘the mole hole’ who unfortunately are taking some time away from their business.
I bought but it won’t recline back just the piston works and the height lever. Is there a fix cuz I threw the box away already :;
I bought a similar Newtral chair but without the footrest, but hardware might be similar. Try pulling the seat height adjustment lever out (away from you), then it can freely recline. Or you can push it back into 3 locking points (straight up, relaxed, sleep)

Tough choice - I love both for different reasons, but I would say, if you live in a colder place, this one… if you live in a warmer place and needed adaptability and ability to fold under desks easily, then the hinomi h1 would be my choice. It all largely depends on your individual situation!

NL is famous becuase of their rain but its not that cold here most of the times. In terms of seating, which one did you like better? This with the bigger cushion or the Hinomi one?

@@jenn2728 Hey Jenn. The chair is wonderful! The footrest is a big plus point for this price. And all the adjustments help with making it more comfortable for my specific body.
Do they do a version that looks like a racing bucket seat, has one of those elastic fitted neck cushions and comes in an array of striking 'Gamery' colours? ...

I was one of the early backers. We're two months late into their promised DELIVERY time, with no communication other than copy-paste replies & just found out that the product is available for 379$ on Amazon they said the pro will retail @ 519$ & it gets worse... Amazon will ship them Dec 1-6. Absolutely disgusting!

I'm not a spokesperson from the company, just someone who shares his opinion on things...however as i mentioned in the episode, it's a kickstarter project and therefore there are risks in backing projects on kickstart platforms. (see link in description).

They say the laptop desk is going to be released as an add-on product. I made my decision to go with Newtral largely based on your review. Thank you.
As the video played, I thought to myself I would pay £400 for that. I also thought it would be very much more expensive. I think I might go for it. I've been wondering about an attached desk. Looks a bit wibbly though...

It seems like this one is there first big push into mainstream. The original (amzn.to/44wsEOk) released on kickstarter like I said, and that seemed to do quite well… this one they seem to have gone all out. Obv as a kickstarter, there’s always risk like I mentioned!

Do not buy this chair, it is a fraud, a scam. I paid for it 2 months ago and I still haven't seen any chair. I have read on forums that they will now ask me for an extra 200€ for shipping, it's a scam. I think I have lost all my money.
You haven’t bought anything, you’ve backed a kickstarter. As mentioned in my review it’s a kickstarter and therefor there are all the risks associated with backing a kickstarter, which is why I also included links to the kickstarter trust and accountability page so that you can make an informed decision.
Also - the kickstarter page *literally* says they aren’t shipping them until September, so why wouldn’t you read that before complaining about not receiving your chair in august? 👀

I checked this with my lawyers and with the police and at least in my country this is the case. Money does not fall from the sky. Money is a bargaining chip for something, not for air.

I know, I sometimes think that kickstarter hinders the launch of some products- but then it’s a catch 22, because some great products could launch without it!
