Day 3 for ODA-511 deployment to Khost District, Khost Province, Afghanistan out of FOB Nauzad/Salerno. ODA Teams are assigned on a mounted patrol to deliver humanitarian aid set up medical aid station but are re-tasked to respond to a VBIED attack on a nearby government administrative compound.

When responding to ANA forces you should not have pushed your own Vic’s passed damaged ANA forces. Common practice for IED is daisy chain or decoy IED. Common goal is to get more Vic’s into kill zone and cause more casualties.
