In every reaction to this video, people ask - what is this? Is it rap? And that's what I love so much about 90's music and what I miss today - people just took the best of all styles, mixed it up and got great songs. The same band could rap in one song, play heavy groove-metal in another, in the third they had techno or straight pop mixed with punk-rock. And sometimes it was all in one song. At one gig you could see dudes who looked like cholo gangsters rocking out next to goth kids.
@@lisamorrison2149 We seem to be following each other around today!! First, Abracadabra & now here!! Are you following me?? Or am I following you??!! Bahahahaha!!!🤣🤣👍🤣🤣
I don’t know. I love BHG, I saw them live and I grew up near near them (which I found out after seeing an obscure local reference in the liner notes to their first album which made me look up more). I’m a fan but in America they were basically two hit wonders (this and Fire Water Burn) Which is a crime because they’re great and have some genuinely witty lyrics (albeit juvenile)
😂😂😂. This was great! At first I thought your brother wasn't going to have fun with it, but he came around! Good looks run on the family! Hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving!!!
There are several reasons why this video wouldn't be made today. Imagine if it was made today, Me Too and several others would be stomping on these guy's necks. There was no such thing as "cancel culture" in the 90s. The only thing we canceled was our BMG subscription if we wanted to switch to Columbia House and we rarely did that! Either you loved the content that was being put out or you didn't. If you didn't, you know what you did? You changed the channel. Personally I still love this song and video. Loved it then and love it now. I remember seeing it for the first time on MTV in the spring of 1999 which was a dominant year for music and movies in general to close out the millennium. I'm talking about the REAL MTV when they played nothing but heat!! Back when MTV was great to watch. Thats why we should appreciate, worship, and remember 90s music and culture because it will never be the same as it was back then. The way things are today, not a damn chance.
The hardest part about watching old videos is putting your mind in the right historical context. Also in this era, just post grunge, there was a small time of techno pop. I would put this in that category personally. Techno pop was bigger in Europe I think but it hit here too. And yes this was also the era of Night at the Roxberry and their head bopping tune.
As a white British guy in his late 30s, I can confirm that The Bloodhound Gang were fucking savage! They covered a few genres of music, which varied album to album really. Kinda like a Rap/Punk/Electro mix. I think this was from their third and probably most successful album.
In 2005 I was 10 and I loved this song for melody. In 2010 I was in high school and I loved it for lyrics. Today, I am 26 and I love it for everything. It's a freaking masterpiece.

Here are the good songs to listen from Bloodhound Gang.
"The Inevitable Return Of The Great White Dope"
"Mope"
"Fire water burn"
"Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo"
"Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss"
"The Ballad Of Chasey Lain"
"Ralph Wiggum
"
still love them, even got to see them once and didn't realize that Jared Hasselhoff (The Bass Player) was standing right next to my me and hitting on my sister until jumped up on the bar and swung from the rafters all the way to the stage... EFFING EPIC!!!!!
This video is was played everyday on MTV TRL the #1 teen pop music show.
I’ve never seen you look happier, fam will do that....have a great holiday weekend!🙏🏼✌️💜
You come from a goodlooking family!
You're both too cute!
I'm old enough to be your Mother so no dodgyness intented. Lol
Lol, me too!
I can tell that if you weren't watching this with him, he would have hated it. I think he takes things too seriously compared to how you just love to have fun with everything. Idk, maybe I'm wrong. You're just the best!
Yeah ditch the guy on the left. Hes a snowflake buzzkill.
@@joshuaclark6467 yeah he took the song way too seriously for what it is. Those of us from that era had variety in popular music so we could appreciate different styles of music at the same time. The other guy looked like he was expecting it to be like a Bette Milder song.
That the both of you know the characters in The X Files without missing a beat makes me extra happy.
Their album "One Fierce Beer Coaster" has plenty to pick from.
Try "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" if you want more hilarious dorky videos
Yessss!!!!!
Yes, The Offspring! Must look 👀 up that video. 😎
Good suggestion
*raspy voice*
maybe you guys aren’t ready for that yet.....
...but your kids are gonna fucking hate it
Offspring!
I remember this from the late 90's. Never a huge fan, but this song (and that Discovery Channel line) was huge back then!!
They aren't a one-hit-wonder-band. More a one-decade-wonder-band.
They used to be everywhere. You might not like all of their songs but they never fail to entertain.
This whole Bloodhound Gang album was on repeat back in 1996 when I was a freshman at college.
Mr. Video - if you've not heard these other Bloodhound Gang songs already, i'd suggest you checking out "Kiss Me Where It Smells Funny" or "I Wish I Were Queer So I Could Get Chics". Reactions would be epic, if you ever decide to do music reactions again, but own your own "off camera" at least. 👍
You should watch “Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo” or “Uhn Tiss Uhn Tis Uhn Tiss” by them lol
I still have Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss Uhn Tiss on my iTunes. That bassline tho!!!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone over in the States. Be safe, God bless!❤🇨🇦
💯❣️
Back at you! ❤✌
Leo...your brother drove 10 hours to see you on Thanksgiving day and you showed him this.......BRILLIANT. That’s called brotherly ❤️ love.
Hope you and your brother have a GREAT DAY....Judy D
This was big during my Limewire days
OMG I forgot about Limewire! Holy nuts that's a good memory too!! Lmaooo😜🤘✌
They played this so much in the clubs..I remember sneaking in to clubs when I was underage and dancing to this over and over
Keep it up man! Check out bloodhound gang's Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo too!
Welcome to your brother. Love they way ya'll laugh together.
Enjoying seeing another one of your brothers. Good looks definitely runs in the family. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family❤️❤️
I like how you go back a few seconds to hear the part you talked through.
Shout out to the SADE pillow!
I actually remember this song with no one crying about it In the early 2000’s
OMG!! I want your brother there all
the time!! He's a GREAT reactor!! 🤣
Hi Charles from Florida 🌴

@@lisamorrison2149 We seem to be following each other around today!! First, Abracadabra & now here!! Are you following me?? Or am I following you??!! Bahahahaha!!!🤣🤣👍🤣🤣
@@calliedavila2517 I know! 🤣 We are on the same wavelength!
Not at all one hit wonders. They had several hits. They were huge in the late 90s/early 00s.
I only heard this song and "mope"
I don’t know. I love BHG, I saw them live and I grew up near near them (which I found out after seeing an obscure local reference in the liner notes to their first album which made me look up more). I’m a fan but in America they were basically two hit wonders (this and Fire Water Burn)
Which is a crime because they’re great and have some genuinely witty lyrics (albeit juvenile)
@@Kyle_The_Mighty i thought Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo did well, no?
Everyday for years this song was played. Constantly and we loved it
Thank yall man, we needed a damn laugh like this today of all days... so again, THANK YOU, BOTH!
Your brother is hilarious! You guys need to react together more!
Lap dance song...and please do “The Ballad of Chaisey Lane” 🤣😂🤣😂
I fucking love the ballad of Chaisey Lane ❤
Love that song
YES!
Hi Charles !!!! Welcome to the fun :) and like you.. I tried it once .. legs went numb .. and now i am 48 lol :) happy Thanksgiving Leo and Charles !!
"The Inevitable Return of the Great White Dope." Jimmy Pop is no slouch of a rapper.
Shoutout brothers. Loving the love.
In 2005 I was 10 and I loved this song for melody. In 2010 I was in high school and I loved it for lyrics. Today, I am 26 and I love it for everything. It's a freaking masterpiece.
Hello, Brother! And Mr. Video, as always!

AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for doing it again
I know I’m late but I only remember seeing this video on MTV once and it was stuck in my head even until now. Probably why it showed up in my feed. Also, for the younger folks, MTV used to play music on their station.
Bro love the reaction I saw these guys in concert it was the funniest most interactive show I've ever been to much love bro
