the 2nd limiter, you put in the wrong way. you need to see the arrow side on the limiter. The reason you had minus sign is the the electric traveling in wrong way.
Can I connect the limiter to wire that is going to the meter. I have a breaker that is outside the house that has a cover for the breakers and a cover on the side of the meter. There is two thick bus bars going into the breaker box from the meter, then a main switch and then two bus bars for each 120v. I think I might be able to put the limiter over the bus bar, but they are kind of wide.
Please consult an Electrician to do this Installation for you Ryan. Have watched the entire episode on this GTIL2 Installation? I am sorry I can not give you directions how to go about it in your home because, I don't know how your House is setup and it's difficult for me to imagine someone's home I've never seen or been to 😉😁
You will get more power out of those panels if you raise them off the roof more. You need at least 4 inches between the roof and the panels to allow for airflow. Otherwise, the panels will get hot and not produce well.
Here at home I have two 120v phases and a neutral one. I have equipment that works with 120v (a 120v phase more neutral) and I also have some 220v equipment (two phases 110v) The 1000w grid tie limiter only injects energy in one phase, the 2000w 240v two phase grid only has a TC sensor for operation in two-phase 220v. How would I be part of a correct operation? It would have to be a 2000w 240v two phase 120v grid and two TC sensors, but it is not manufactured yet. Is it possible that by placing two 1000w grid tie limiter one in each phase, I can inject energy independent of the connected equipment? 120v (phase and neutral) or 220v (two phases 120v).

I have three question. 1. The clamp sensor has a directional arrow on this 1000w unit i recently bought. Where should that arrow pointed, is it upward from on-coming power grid source? or is it downward pointing to all the loads? or it doesnt really matter. 3. On the screen display, in the lower half of the screen, there are two rows of setting, theres the bottom row and theres one directly above it. (Btw the house is 120v AC were here in the US)(my unit is the 24-60v input). Question, what should be the proper setting of the bottom row and the setting for that row above the bottom row so it will not read negating(-) when you view the power consumption screen. As these are NOT detailed clearly in the users manual. Thanks
So i tried your suggestion but i got a different results, and let me explain how. So im facing the breaker, looking at the two large wire from incoming grid power. First i hooked the clamp sensor with directional arrow pointing up to on-coming grid power. Then the inverter screen showed negative(-) watts reading just below the voltage reading on the rightside of inverter display. So i reconnected the clamp with arrow pointing downward on the same incoming grid line and i got a positive(+) wattage reading but its very low. During this procedure i also have a SENSE MONITOR that reads the actual power consumption to 1800 watts, but the gridtied inverter on showing 200 watts, that really low. Then i moved the clamp sensor to the left incoming grid wire with arrow pointing upward, it registered a negative(-) 1800 watts, that shouldnt be negative right? Then i removed and reconnected the clamp but now with the directional arrow pointing downward on the same leftside incoming grid wire, this is the opposite of what youve suggested(which is upward). To my suprise a positive(+) 1800 watts appeared on the display. So base on this actual procedure, the arrow should be pointing downward and connected to the left side incoming gridline, thats if your facing the breaker panel. Or maybe not all breakers are wired the same?
I will bring you more coverage on a nice sunny day so you can see the performance of these inverters. I really appreciate you stopping by brother! I will love see you more often on my channel. Have a wonderful day Sir.
I have three(3) 300Watts in parallel and connected to 1000w unit with a 10 guage wires 30 feet long. Thats how far the inverter from the panels thats mounted in perfect south and panels are tilted to 43 degrees here in Tamp, Florida. On 1 Mar 2020 is a perfect cloudless day. And around 12:30 "solar noon" i tried that solar noon test like the one from YT and in that perfect alignment to the sun, the highest ive got is only 619 watts out of supposedly 900w rating combined from three 300 watts panels based on the setting i mentioned above. Its ok but not very good, thats quite a bit of losses. Any input or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Just wrap that one leg with a couple wraps of electrical tape so the limiter clamp will fit snug. 😎
