This worked on my asus geforce 760GTX , I used a 2500W strong hair dryer turned all the way upto max heat and reheated for 6 mins ( without flux ) I used isopropyl alcohol to clean up both sides and booom It worked like a charm , Thanks to FROG I can play games smoothly again after a long time 🙏.. (It's been a week now and it sill works!)

My word I cant believe this. I have spent hours and hours trying to fix a special USB dongle with this same error. I didnt think it could be a hardware fault but after watching this and reading all the comments about how the reflow worked i thought let me just check the device with an eye glass and sure enough I found the D+ pin on the USB connected was not making contact (bad solder job). I resoldered it and sure working well now. Thank you so much.

So did you uninstall the driver first and then reinstalled it? I have a Rtx 3070. And I used DDU to uninstall the driver, then I reinstalled everything and code 43 is still here. It is also giving me horizontal green lines on my screen and blackscreen after every driver installation (update) from GeForce Experience. For the reinstallation of the driver, did you reinstalled a different (older) version of the driver?
As you have green line on screen reinstall drivers or new BIOS will definitely not help first apply warranty as I think your card is probably still in warranty and if not I will recommend reheating GPU like I do in video that should help

@@jano8862 I will just try again but this time with little bigger temperature and longer time to heat up as well and after I will undercloock GPU about 5% you will loose little FPS in game but your card will have less stress when you use and this can help. Best ways to undercloock GPU is flash BIOS with new under clock value or second opinion is used afterburner I hope that will help

I actually don't have a heat gun but i have a strong hair dryer (2500w) so i used it on max heat slow fan for 10 mins and it worked. Maybe it was just the old thermal paste that had to be cleaned up and the hair dryer thing was useless but anyway i have my gpu back and I'm happy.

Is always better do with the flux
It is not the thermal paste is the issue, but the contact point under the gpu.. Maybe some of the soldered point was already having old soldered.
Ye but as thermal paste don't get heat out and GPU overheating and that's why happens

Hi just want to thank you for this it saves me a money, i opened the GPU clean with laquer , clean the dry thermal paste put some flux and reheat with hot air 10 to 15mins, then clean the board dry and rethermal and it works the artifacts gone before when i enter heaven benchmark the artifacts shows right away but now i can complete the whole stress test and its working. I have 4 AMD Radeon VII's. It posts and fans run, but get a code 43 error. Do you think this will work in my case? I have tried flashing VBIOS's already and nothing works.
Booted them in HIVEOS (Linux OS) and it posts, but gives an error that says waiting to cool down, so I'm curious if the thermal paste is insufficient and unsoldered the chip.

Thank you man this fixed my rtx 2080ti. I was playing gears 5 and pressed alt tab to go online and minimize the game but when I switched back an hour later the screen just went blue and after that I was getting error 43 and couldn't install drivers. I followed your steps last night and just slotted my card back in and reinstalled drivers and it's working perfectly.

Another testimonial that this could work.. Bought a broken ASUS GTX 970, 4GB of DDR5. It had Error 43.
I sat it on a baking pan and used a heat gun.. I could not find the right type of flux, so I didn't use any. (don't use plumbers flux, because it is conductive and will short out your components.) I followed your heating instructions. Initially I tried it and it seemed to be worse, so I set it aside.. I thought I had gotten it too hot..oh well.. Today I tried it again and after reloading the driver, it's working fine! A long term test is in order though.. Thanks Much!!

@@frogtechtips Just bought 2 "bad" Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 GPU's for $25.00. One was completely dead, the second had a wide blue vertical line through it and was not recognized by Windows. Heat gunned the second one. Boom! back in operation. Heat gunned the first one... Boom ! back in operation. But when I compared their performance, the first one had lower score. Took it apart and heated it again. Now both GPU's perform equally. So out of four cards I had, I got three of them working. I could have never have afforded to buy these GPU's.

Hi heat gun is best way as you will heating just part you need with oven you will heat everything I will not recommend but is up to your choice oven method can works as well just don'tn use fan and remove all plastic parts as can Melted

Like I write I don't recommend do that on oven but if you want to try set up max temperature is possible and keep there like 10 to 15 min on preheat oven and once you switch off Keep card inside till fully cool down
It worked in my GTX 970! I cleaned the thermal paste, used a lot of IPA 99%, let it dry then used the heat gun. Reinstalled the drivers and voilà! Thank you!

Definitely yes and maybe you can try reheating GPU with higher temperatures as well there is nothing to lose anyway

It didn't work after 10-15 heating. I think it will be the faulty memory chips.

it was like 5 month ago when i bought my gtx 760 from Aliexpress when i plugged gpu in pc it had locked 800x600 resolution, lines on screen and it was so slow in games and apps.I have tried everything in pc but nothing on gpu itself except cleaning it.I don't have that heat tools and that liquid that you pour in gpu. Also I plugged gpu in tv cos my monitor does not have hdmi it only has vga not even dvi thank you.

THIS. FUCKING. WORKED. I dont know how and i dont know for how long, but this actually worked. i did it with absolutly no hope (and no flux) and stoped short before 10 minutes when i heard a pop comming from the board. still assembled it, still conected it, and... here we are!

As you have a line on screen is definitely GPU die problems I will recommend apply warranty but if your card is out of warranty I will try reheating GPU like I do in video nothing to lose anyway

I got a gtx 780 second hand and after few weeks it got code 43, at first I tested the vram and it shows a 1 vram chip corrupt so I've tried to do reflow and well it worked for a few hours and now I got the code 43 again! xD, Im gonna try this with 480° C for 10 min.

If you sure is vram Bad best way is replacing foulty vram module but you can try reheating

my rtx 2060 mobile, no error 43, and detect by laptop, but always instanly shutdown when gpu under load 2%,
gpu z show rtx on idle consume 15-25watt, before vrm shorted and was replace with new one,

Hi you need use non conductive flux best one is gel or liquid and if you use to much can be spread over the board but that's no problems usually and you can use flux clean for cleaning out
Flux will help to not make a short between soldering point

I heard thats often its more the Vram that lost contact.
@@MasterBlaster220 if you have line on screen yes usually is VRAM problems more often is on old GPU where VRAM modules don't have any type of cooling and over time just make some cold point
@@frogtechtips Thanks a lot. I have a GTX 970 with that problem. Tried heatgun for like 6 min on Vram particularly up to the point were i saw flux squeezing out under the chips. Did´nt helped. Maybe i try again with adding additional flux in this case.

I have a Radeon VII with error code 43. Fans and LED starts, but I get no picture signal. I heard that an Error Code is NOT able to be repaired at Radeons VII. Is that true?
No picture either means bad drivers or that the card is broken. If it's not because of drivers then throw it in the oven for 10 minutes at 200c and it might start working again
oven is last option I will recommend
i have 1650 super asus phoinex and i have same issue but sometimes everything great and sometimes it shows up error code 43 if i clean the gpu and replace thermal paste it would be fine ?
Hi that's hard to say but sometimes this helps only way to find out is make some more testing

Moje karta gt740m se ukazuje a dokonce když preinstaluju windows tak 3-4 dny funguje bez problémů na plnou zátěž. Pak se notebook restartuje a nepomůže nic. Jen reinstalace. BIOS update nemůžu udělat protože můj notebook nemá baterku, nafoukla se a vyhodila. Ale prej je na to potřeba. Nějaké rady prosím? Možná se nakonec pustím do toho reflow, už jsem to párkrát dělal. Notebook jsem koupil před týdnem a nevěděl jsem o této závadě dell vostro 5470.
Tak to je dosť zaujímavé že pár dní funguje a potom nie ja by som skúsil najprv undercloock karty a hlavne prepastovanie

@@frogtechtips Když komplet přeinstaluju ovladače a nainstaluju starší tak ukazuje všechno OK ale neukazuje se mi nvidia control panel a není ani v správci úloh. Po restartu se občas vrátí code 43 ale ovladač zůstane stejný, ten se kterým to dřív fungovalo. už fakt nevim co s tím.

I have the same code 43 but my gpu works in the lower pci slot. The top pci express 16 slot won’t run any of the two GPUs I tried. Gives me red lines through the monitor :/
If your card working on second slot just use that one maybe is something wrong with your first slot

I got that error43 issue on my palit jetstream 2060 super. Before going on to the windows , the small pink lines appear on the screen and when it comes to windows , the resolution is too low. And I tried to reinstall the drivers and it showed driver installed successfully but nothings has changed. Would it be okay trying the method of reheating? I still need to try on reinstalling windows method.
Hi as you have red line as well I think only reheating will help but do this only if your card is out of warranty

it work on my rx 580 = 5 minutes heat gun 1500 low settings without flux gel = i got a signal for 2 minutes but i lost signal again, so i ordered the flux gel and i will try again lol

Hi is hard to say but ye usually you can fix error 43
And don't forget you can still selling that card again on eBay if not working with the same description iam just not sure 200 EUR for broken but is ti version with for 200 is probably ok

my gpu amd rx 570 also gets code 43 sometimes and gives no display(i checked with second monitor connected to igpu) on boot but other times it boots up fine and gives display with no problems even on 100 percent load. Could these steps fix my gpu too? I tried it in many different systems and it gives same problem

after updating mine my screen goes black when clicking start menu
then if I shut down or restart my pc it goes error again even i already uodated it before shutting down

@@frogtechtips i cant evem shut it down because it goes black screen again and again. i cleaned my fan before and i remove some parts does the screws are reason to this also

Hi Frog. I'm currently getting a issue with my asus flowX13 gpu. At some point, Im not sure when, the gpu (3050Ti Labtop) stopped working and windows task manager stopped detecting it as well. I went into device manager and it says the gpu has an error 43 - I checked online and tried all the solutions they offered (reinstalling drivers, safemode, etc). Right now its using the default AMD radeon graphics. I checked the asus armoury crate as well and it states that the GPU is in extreme powering saving mode and I can't get it out of it. (its not on IGPU mode).

Hi on laptop is always hard fix problems like this and as you try all other solutions and if your laptop is out of warranty you can try reheating GPU but on laptop is so hard as you need take off all of the parts

@@KT-yl9wc If you have your warrentee, I'd definitely suggest you to do an asus return, I ended up sending it back twice because the first time they just updated my software and called it a day. I sent it back the second time and they ended up replacing my motherboard as well.

I have an issue with an GTX 1060 6gb GPU (Inno 3d Compact X1) that can't run a mats to test it, also has the error 43 and gpu-z shows everything good except ram (0mb), bus and bandwidth. This is a memory corruption issue I guess but I don't know if it is one of the memory chips, memory controller or anything else :(

Hi memory module is usually problems I will definitely try reheating memory modul all of them if your card is out of warranty there is nothing to lose anyway and I think will help

I got the error last week and most of the time I just manually uninstall it on device manager and after restarting it, It fixes itself up. But then it happened again recently and when I try the same method. It doesn't fix itself now

Help me frog my laptop has an amd radeon 535 gpu it suddenly stopped showing on the device manager i tried everything and no hope but after a minth later it fixed it self and showing up on the device manager but with an exclamation mark on properties it says code 43 i did everything even formatting the pc and reinstall windows non of them fixed my prob😭
Only way is reflowing GPU on main board but on laptop is so hard to do. Sorry for Bad news

Ok my friend has some RMA 218 is why I was asking just incase i need to buy the correct kind. I dont want to accidentally use any that may have metal if it's not supposed to have it. The link in description showed AMTECH NC-559-ASM No-Clean Tacky Gel Solder Flux. Is this the kind that you used?

Hey man, im really having a hard time figuring out what to do with mine. Same GPU (gtx760) but it's twin frozr. I did all the software thing to get the error 43 out but still there. My last resort will be this and I'm too scared to open it because of lack of experience and Don't have the liquid to reflow nor the heat gun. What do i do? Hope you see this.
Hi if you tried everything else and as your GPU is so old and out of warranty anyway just do what I do in video and that's should be help you can buy cheap heat gun and flux on eBay

Hi, i got a laptop Lenovo Legion y520 GTX1050 and i woke up in the morning one day and my GPU just actually died somehow...I get error code 43 on device manager and i have done every repair thing that i could do, reinstalled everything, DDU, windows many times, same problem...Is there a solution to it on laptop? If i open it up, change the termal paste, etc? Could be this or just get a hole new motherboard at this point...The curious case is that it died while nothing was happening, it was off. I just woke up and it was like this, while the other night i played and used t just fine...Thanks a lot.
You can use this method on laptop as well just is more complicated as you need take off MB and do reheat

If this isn't a laptop GPU then you're probably gonna have to take it out entirely if you want to use your PC again...
Hi, my gtx 1060 6gb asus rog laptop version also has this problem, and together with it comes the problem of connected hdmi displays shows nothing and any attempt of installation of drivers of version newer than 456.02 causes BSOD with nvidskm.sys failure, of course it also shows error code 43 on device manager, do you think ur method applies to this case too?
Hi probably yes but on laptop is so hard to do it it's happening probably because thermal paste dried over time I see that happening in gaming laptop if your laptop is out of warranty and if you trying everything else and nothing helps I always say just try nothing to lose anyway

@@frogtechtips I'm not sure it was a gtx 1080 someone was selling saying it had an error 43 code and it had been cleaned and repasted but didn't say anything about heating but it is still showing the code so I came looking to see how to fix it
@@CresuZClips ok than open card look for PCB and check for missing parts or physical damage on it if card looks good than try reheating GPU that should help
