  • Nuclear Test Film - Operation Redwing by Department of Energy
    DVD Copied by The Department of Energy, in cooperation with the Department of Defense, declassified a series of historical films on the nuclear weapons program. They were converted to videotape format to help preserve the films and to facilitate the declassification and release process. These films document the history of the development of nuclear weapons, starting with the first bomb tested at Trinity Site in southeastern New Mexico in July 1945..

    Operation Red Wing.. Joint Inter armed service maneuvers in atomic energy research development. Film focuses on interesting topics money costs, atomic weapon containment device size,and its ability to withstand enemy conventional attack or atomic ? Future development naval ships designed built in radioactive decontamination abatement systems.. interesting name choice all 15 atomic detonation Shots native American example Flat Top!! Film keeps veiwer interested never bored...

    I was born in 1942, therefore all radiation from these tests resulted in contaminating everything on this planet at that time and for years to follow.
    The inhabitant's of these islands, which were delivered elsewhere for safe keeping, were permitted after some time to return home. Then, the horror began. Most prevalent and still happening is the offspring are born without skeletons. Yes, that still goes on to this very day. I tell you true. Sincerely and humbly I remain at 79 y.o., Sentebey in USA.

    Grandfather is a survivor of these tests. Took years of fighting and they still don’t wanna cough up. So hard to even find info on it unless you look crazy hard

    I love these old U.S Government videos, the music, the quality of the voice. We may have better tech now, but we have lost analog texture, color. Oh well, at least we can sample the f^k out of this stuff!

    I sincerely hope images of nuclear blasts remain in the past. Most folks don't realize how terrible these weapons are. One explosion will change the world forever.

Trying to do your best living in a world in which you know countries have the means to almost completely destroy another country and kill millions in moments is sick and sad. To live knowing and preparing how you may have to kill your neighbor is no way to live. Sick society.
