They have had me and my family stranded on the top for at least 10 minutes. Sometimes they just don't go... they sit there for like 5 or 10 seconds doing nothing. Then again, these were some of the first destination dispatch systems installed.
I filmed these on Christmas Day and they were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY I didn't even enjoy it so I am going to try to go there again in June 2019 when I graduate from High School so I could get a better, more good take on these amazing pieces of awesome
Christmas time is always the busiest time to go to the Marriott Marquis so I wouldn’t expect a direct ride at all. You’re better off going after Christmas like February or Spring Break if you want a better video of these. (Trust me, I’ve been here multiple times 😉)
I wonder how well Thyssenkrupp's Destination Dispatch system works in comparison to this one. I would love to see you make a video on one of those, especially if you can find one of those fancy TWIN systems that uses two elevators in a single shaft!
dominic arnone More than likely they're repeats cleared for release to other channels by Discovery Channel other than that i doubt that van is still in service and that registration number has probably already been recycled to another vehicle

When you press the handicap, the system insiste to go to Cars A and B (High Rise), K and L (Low Rise). You can use the handicap when you go to 9, 48 or 49 (55), because the system goes to take cars F and G.
Is it true that these are the first Mi-chronic I mean Miconic 10 elevators in the United States maybe even in North America? And also is this the flagship Marriott Marquis or was the one in Atlanta the flagship?
Oh my those speakers have gotten terrible. Accessibility mode is supposed to assign you the least busy elevator... but I think we know well how terrible the logic system on Miconic 10 is. PORT was definitely better.
These elevators are problematic (Hence me calling them "Mi-Chronic-10"). When I was there, you had to use the low-rise side to get a high-rise car, didn't accept calls on my floor, which almost led to the 1st ever service elevator video from here. They also made phantom stops at 5 all the time. One week later, James got stuck twice, unless he pushed the phone button, which made it move again.
*Late post* I visited the hotel 2 days ago and I can say that these elevators made phantom stops on the 8th floor. I was sitting in the food ct and watched many elevators stop at the 8th floor for no reason...

The Marriott Times Square traffic level in the holiday season will be heavier.
The floor announcer is pretty tempermental; sometimes she will say it, sometimes she doesn't (I say she because that's the gender of the announcer)
