Dale DeFrance Memeriol race. Kind of crazy. Have lived in Marshalltown all of my life. Been a Marshalltown Race car fan since early 1980's. Watched Dale DeFrance run a lot of races in is late model "44". Back when late models still used normal car frames. His daughter was even a driver for a while early on. His son IRONMAN Darrel Defrance still races late models today "99D". so it was weird seeing you run "99" at the Dale Defrance Memeriol in a car with his son's number.
Just brought back a flood of memories ! Raced there in 65-66 55/57 Chevy and Fords were about evenly matched. A $300 claim rule kept it even. One night our driver flipped 9 times down the back stretch came back next week won the feature!
Was awesome to see you all run and awesome to meet you all! Sucks about the battery but, still awesome. I know my kids were excited to meet you all as well!
Adams county speedway is the only track I ever seen that put grass on the track for the off-season to help keep the clay from washing away or the dirt whatever you want to say but it's an awesome track you boys have fun

Just listening to the two cars it sounds like Joseph's got way more motor than Jesse in Hots. Nice lookin' cars both of 'em. Put the snow plow on that thing Jesse an move 'em. The J1 is popping half way down the back chute. I can see it from 500 miles away. Brought 'em both back in good shape. I think if Joseph wanted to stick his nose in there he could have picked off that 76 car in the last 5 laps. Good job Joseph and Jesse. Good job HTF!
Gas XS makes a really good battery But have you all considered using one of the Braille Lithium Racing Batteries that is made down there I believe in the state of Florida and they seem like a very good battery also and they are very very light weight, somewhere around 8 pounds I believe or less
Maybe running a crate 525 super late model motor, the only thing that will save super late model racing they also get a weigh advantage with them to run against a open motor.
It looks like they have a good thing going with a 600-650hp engine. Full field of cars and a engine that sounds like a race engine. You get over that 650hp things start getting super expensive. With crate engines costing 10k or more it's time to let the guys run a claimer 5.3 LS against the 604. Maybe $2500 claim.

Im probably the only car that runs a generator/alternator on my cars,the old myth it takes 25 HP to run a alternator is 🐂 💩 it avoids issues like this and stops electrical parts from being damaged by constantly charging batteries or running low amps,
Jesse has potential. Joseph has skill and experience. People dis him for not being "aggressive" but in the long run as tires and tempers wear in long races, skill and patience are very valuable.

We had that same problem with our drag truck. Bad battery and was breaking up down track when it was above 6500 rpm's. Idle fine and would rev fine.
