After watching this video the first time you inspired me to play through God of War! I've had the GoW1+2 collection disc for years and it's just been gathering dust in my backlog. I've been really enjoying the game so far, I've just hit Cliffs of Madness, and it's been great playing along with your video as I go. Going to take a moment to humble brag that I got the collectable and Don't Leave Her Hanging trophy in the one run (after falling to my death many many times)
This game on the hardest mode is very difficult, as you said Matt. The part where you fight multiple kratos and have to protect your family is a nightmare. The ares fight is also quite difficult
One thing I think I remember regarding the "Don't Leave Her Hanging" trophy and the collectable along the way, I think you can actually redo the obstacle path that has the chest with the phoenix feather after you save the Oracle. It is a bit of a time sink, but I do think it means you can still get the phoenix feather in the same playthrough as the trophy. It's not a huge difference, but I think I recall getting the trophy like that?
PSA: If you play on the PSVITA, make sure you don't press the XMB button/home button since it's going to glitch the trophy. If you want to exit the game, save to savepoint then, reboot your device. This also applies to GOW 2 VITA
What I hate is that these challenge of the gods are not a test of skill. They are a test of how many exploits you know about the game. I tried challenge 8 the honest way and I spent an hour failing miserably. Then I tried the L1+ circle spam and I got it on my first try. A challenge shouldn't be an exploit test. Challenge 10 is very easy if you spam L1 + x because the satyrs jump backwards once they are in the air and end up falling
I got to this spot on accident and skipped here before I did anything involving the entire part with the key and the hatch I never fought or nothing. I'm so glad the save points were there because I would've had to restart the game .😅 14:35

So glad you finally tried the original game! :) I'm a bit sad that I missed your live speedrun attempt, but I'm hoping that you'll do some streams with the other ones as well. A quick tip for you about the "Getting my ass kicked" trophy. It can be unlucked so much quicker at the platforming section between the two boats, where you can fall to your death and restarat from checkpoint. You just jump down until the prompt comes up and saves you a lot of time compared to letting yourself killed by the undead soldiers. :) Other than that, love your videos! Keep it up! :D
Dont worry i plan to play more of the games. Also i know there was better areas to kill myself but i didnt feel like playing longer into that playthrough to get to them
I want to argue that it's better to use the rage in level 8 because In 10 all you gotta do is parry. I've passed that shit in 10 minutes but the 8th level took me hours 😂

If you do the infinite mana glitch, does that make it to where you can't get the hidden chests 6 & 7? When I jumped over there it seemed the only way back was to jump down to a section before the glitched room which you can't enter anymore.
Your channel really is underrated you do have the tools to be a good youtuber maybe try looking at Nick AR's channel another trophy hunter with a decent fanbase good luck on youtube man

I did the speed run on the first run while collecting the collectibles, after the first run I'm only missing the challenges of the gods😁
