Sarah Lee, I don't even know if you read comments on TH-cam but that was incredibly beautiful. I will go to sleep tonight playing your rendition in my mind. Thank you so much.
Stunning girl.. Amazing musician. Got to see her with her father and family at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach a few years ago. GREAT show.. Super talented family.
Thankful for my seeing Arlo every chance I get, I have been blessed to also see Sarah Lee (and her husband Johnny), along with Arlo's son Abe, and once in NOLA after Katrina, Arlo's daughter Cathy who sings with Amy Nelson (Willie's daughter) in their group Folk Uke. All so awesome I know Woody is pleased.
Such a sweetheart! I've loved this song since 1965, and it's difficult for me to listen to it unless Donovan is behind the wheel, however, this is one of the few exceptions. Well done! BTW, I hope to attend your concert in Berkeley in September.
Very nice Sarah Lee, You resemble your dad very much in the Alice's Restaurant film. I had the good fortune of meeting him when he played Shepherds Bush Theatre a few years ago. Nice to see you carrying on the great family tradition, and so sweetly too. xx
First time listener. Great rendition. Arlo, in my opinion not given the credit he surely deserved. Donovan (also under rated) would be chuffed, I am sure.
What a legendary lineage she comes from...Woodie apart, i remeber watching Arlo, the thin lanky smiling giggling young boy singing cheekily of drugs in the Woodstock... So good to see that there music from the family carries on
I’m a grumpy old man due to the never ending stream of bad news from around the world but this rendition of Donovan Leachs’ wonderful song has brought a tear to my eyes !
I just found out about you and heard you today for the first time. KPFT in Houston, also that you’re coming to Houston later this year. I hope to see you then but I had to find more now.
Ahem, I was able to play all 22 minutes of Alice's Restaurant flawlessly more than once, so I want some respect from TH-cam in the form of letting me watch your videos again!
I'm your Dad's age and played most of those songs on my own guitar - and still do including this one, more like Donovan but was blown away by the artfulness of your version - you have a great career ahead of you indeed! I also had to call everyone's bluff back then when I said I could play the Restaurant and could keep up with Arlo - and should have bet money because I did, much to my surprise. I sure wish Woody was around now, if only just to see what he would have to say about the hideously *evil* nutbar currently running for President!
It's so good to be able to listen to the daughter of Arlo carrying on his great tradition!
It's so good to be able to listen to the granddaughter of Woody carrying on his great tradition!

I LOVE Her...
Great vocalist in her own right!!

Woody is smiling on that great train in the sky.
I’m sure he is ✌️
What a sweetheart!
I hear a certain lilt and resonance in her voice that echoes Arlo’s. I hear it because I bought Alice’s Restaurant when it first came out .I remember.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree Woody’s DNA lives through Sarah and Arlo
Beautiful folk singing voice! Loved it! What guitar is that? It has such a sweet tone.
