- Rob Greenwood, Tim Hill and Xa White show us around Curbar Edge in The Peak District.
Curbar is, in our opinion, one of the most underrated circuits in the Peak District. This isn’t to say Curbar is unpopular, because it isn’t. In fact, it’s home to one of the most popular boulders in the country - the Trackside Boulder; however, it’s all too easy to get stuck at that boulder - and many do - but the intention of this video is to encourage people to explore further, because there are some absolute gems further afield along the edge. - กีฬา
This was amazing, what a wonderful journey my friend!
If you enjoyed this, check out the next in the series, where we head over to Dyffryn Ogwen in North Wales: th-cam.com/video/_--sOGqwHSQ/w-d-xo.html
Great video! Nice to see some climbing us mere mortals can aspire to do. 😊
It’s odd how there’s so much footage of 7&8s, but how little footage there is of 5&6s. Hopefully this video helps to readdress the balance. We’ve got a few others to follow over the coming weeks too.
That was a classic video 👌
Good effort Xa. Trackside was my first 7a too ;)
It’s a great first 7a. We were all absolutely buzzing when he did it. So good to capture it on camera too. The question is, what was your first 7A+? Maybe we should get Xa on that at a later date…
Best shoes for the job 🎉
How could you miss out The Ultimate Gritstone Experience!? It’s pretty aptly named. Though I wouldn’t judge you if you couldn’t find it 😂
There's only so many hours in the day! That problem is absolutely mega though.
love your videos guys. keep up the good work
Thanks Jim, the next series we’ve got is going to focus on some classic trad routes, so if that’s your sort of thing - watch this space
@@ukclimbingofficial awesome yes , i could watch you guys cooking scrambled eggs on toast and id still get enjoyment out of it haha thanks
Cosy
Personally, I really like the Ben Moon one on the pockets that's hidden away a bit and doesn't get too much traffic. It's really good fun though.
Are you thinking of Ben’s Wall, the 7C? If so, it’d reasonable popular, but also reasonably hard. Certainly not one any of us were going to casually bust out in front of the camera. I must have tried it 100+ times and I’ve never stuck that final move.
Congratulations on climbing Strawberries.
Honestly, some days it feels easy - other days impossible. I’m just glad the day we were filming was one where it felt alright 😂
@@ukclimbingofficial Conditions, preparedness, psyche and years of hard training aligned for the send 😂
Love climbing at curbar but parking is a harder crux than any of the problems
Parking everywhere seems to be a problem these days 😭
