Great video. As a Londoner who knows these areas so well, it’s interesting to get a different perspective from the lens of a camera. We can so often take for granted just how beautiful these parts of London are. For all its many faults it’s still overall the greatest city on earth.
We will keep them running, Daisy, don't worry! And thanks again for watching! If you know of anyone else who might also enjoy these videos, please share us with them. We would really appreciate that! Thank you.
Thank you for bits & pieces of trivia on buildings, bars, etc. Been to London, and outside like Cotswolds, Kent, Canterbury, Stratford-upon-Avon, Northampton for the late Princess Diana's Althorp home, etc. but this video showed a lot more on streets of London and proximity to known areas.
I loved our walk today! I put your London walking tour on the big screen in our exercise room and watched while walking on my treadmill! It sure made exercise more fun! Love your voice! It sounds like you're really walking beside me. Cheers!
Sinead, I'm enjoying the Canadian content you're providing in your videos and we Canadians have some nice real estate holdings in London with Quebec House on Pall Mall and Canada House in Trafalgar Square, location, location, location!

Great video of a beautiful part of central London. Most people seeing this will be unaware that’s the interior of the magnificent Reform Club Building @ 4:03 has been used over the years in many movies including 2 James Bond movies and way back in 1956, Around the World in 80 days.
I am addicted to watching these Tours !!!! I have always wanted to see London with it’s beautiful buildings and places of interest. And these online Tours are a wonderful way to explore? Seeing as I am in my 70s and not able to go to London. Thank you so very much for the wonderful Tours and a wealth of very interesting information. Best wishes.
These videos are absolutely brilliant and you learn so much from them, they're perfect for planning a trip to London and I love the girl's voice, it's so relaxing to listen to her. That was interesting to hear about the waiting list for the gentleman's clubs, I used to volunteer at the Dickens Museum 15 years ago and I remember hearing about Charles Dickens frequenting these clubs. Great video Sinead 👍
Thanks again for watching, Barbara! This was one of our first videos. If you know of anyone else who might also enjoy these videos, please share us with them. We would really appreciate that! Thank you.

And your speaking voice is nice, articulate, and can be understood clearly, unlike those with Brit twang which at times is difficult to understand.

Hi, how are you? I'm doing well. I've been to that square back in 1994 with my grandparents. Very beautiful and historical. Could you do Cornwall next video. Have a great day greetings from Canada 😀
Glad that you enjoyed the video, Sahaja. We hope you can visit inside as well. If you haven't done so already, hopefully, you can check out our other virtual tours of London th-cam.com/users/FreeToursbyFootLondonvideos.
Fantastic video, I volunteer at a national trust property in Newport South Wales and a few of the buildings mentioned such as the ritz and the Queens chemist were associated with the family that once lived at Tredegar house in Newport. Thankyou for sharing this, brought back memories

“Doctor Harris”?!!! This is from the website…One of the proprietors, Henry Harris, was a surgeon, while Daniel Rotely (D. R.) was an early Pharmaceutical Chemist.
I read or heard somewhere that at some point prior to her funeral, Princess Diana's body lay in St. James's Palace---prior to being taken to Kensington Palace. Why was she there?
It is tradition for members of the royal family to lay in state before their funerals. You may have seen the late Queens casket in Westminster Hall on television. In Diana's case, it also gave time for preparations and funeral arrangements to be carried out and also allowed for private moments with her family.
hi sinead do you know whats happened to the old snuff shop situated in the haymarket.....it was called freybourg and treyer and was 18th century.itclosed in the 8os i believe...i often wondered what happened to this wonderful little snuff shop.which had steps leading up to entrance...and all the original interior fittings...very sad....im in manchester....

Wow. I think I just learnt where the name of our cigarettes Pall Mall comes from. Swear I live for your videos. No shade but the other guides just don't interest me like your knowledge does 🙌
It appears that the Queen lived in the "high rent district." I would love to be able to enter one of those gentlemen's' clubs. As an American, whenever I see the beautiful Union Jack, I wonder why, in its diagonal stripes, the red part of the stripes is off-center in the white part of those stripes. It must mean something. Maybe someone can tell me. Another great tour Sinead! What is the name of the street that these clubs are on?
Glad you enjoyed the tour, Ron! And that's a great question. The Union Flag is made up of multiple flags stacked 'on top' of one another: Red Cross of St. George for England, White diagonal cross of St. Andrew for Scotland and the red diagonal cross of St. Patrick for Northern Ireland. St. Patrick was the last to be added and it was felt, at the time, that if the cross of St. Patrick was placed directly on top of the cross of St. Andrew that it would look as though the Northern Irish flag would have precedence over the Scottish flag. So, as a bit of a compromise, the heralds placed the cross off centre so that the white cross is 'on top' on the first and third quarters and the Red Cross is 'on top' on the second and fourth. :)
Thank you! That is fascinating. Your knowledge of the British Isles and their history is impressive and one reason why your tours are so interesting. And especially when it comes to the city of London. @@ToursbyFootLondon

Hi Arun!

So the RAC and the army and Navy Clubs don’t get a mention!!!
You kinda scare me a bit when you first mentioned "gentlemen's clubs" here in the US that has a totally different meaning, lol.
Hah! Well, that isn't to say we don't have THOSE kinds of clubs here either ;)
