I agree. As I've gotten older I've realized, while I'd love the millions , I don't think I'd like the feel of being objectified & noticeable as a celebrity by people who don't know anything about me - but think they do because they recognize me from television. An anonymous millionaire would be so much more enjoyable 😂
Gatling could flat out play. Very efficient. Just had a lot of hard luck. 19 points in 27 minutes is superb. He always had a legitimate place in the league.
Bro stop it, I've been using Jim to talk shit about the 90s for over 10 yrs now. He was an all star, and that says how not as talented the league was. He was even ilgauskus good lmao.
Gratitude for sharing. I grew up in Oakland and Marin as a Warriors Fan. I recall that 1997 all star game with Sprewell, and former Warriors T Hardway, Webber, Richmond, Gatling and Gugliotta.
I Remember The DUBS 91-92 Rookie Regime Of Chris Gatling, Victor Alexander, & Billy Owens. The DUBS Would Draft Latrell Sprewell The Next Year & Chris Webber The Year After That. How The Phuck Did The DUBS Fumble This Talent Away Is Still A Mystery.
They traded Owen's for a centre and his best friend Webber demanded a trade. Then Sprewell assaulted his coach but not before they traded tim hardaway to let him be the star. The other two big guys were just decent players, so I'd say the players did most of the fumbling.
Ik you do forgotten players as I’ve been around for while, but more modern recently done playing players doing a career retrospective and comparing it to other similar level players who retired or done playing recently would be cool to see. For example the career retrospective of Evan Turner, Brandon Jennings etc (just players I thought of who had crazy early stage careers and not so great later stages)
I'm a Sixer fan - So Evan turner would be interesting to me. I always was rooting for him to fully realize his full potential as he was crazy gifted all around - lacking a jumpshot really hurt him. Celtics got it right with him playing point guard. I was surprised when they didn't resign him - as he also became a much better defender there too.
I remember the one year, (i believe '98), the Nets played the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs, and he was unstoppable in the post the whole series. They obviously didn't win the series, but played the eventual champs extremely close, with Kendall Gill hawking Pippen all series and also being awesome offensively, and Sherman Douglas also stepping up big. Unfortunately though, they didn't have Cassel that season due to injury, Jayson Williams averaged only 7 ppg rather than the almost 13 he did in the regular season, and finally the two young stars Van Horn and Kittles both really wilted under the pressure of being in the playoffs for their first time. Which in culmination lead to them getting swept.
As soon as I saw the title of this video, Chris Gatling was one of the first names I thought about!!! Some of the others that I thought of were Jamal Magloire and BJ Armstrong.
How bout Jerome Kersey or Kevin Duckworth? People forget how effin good those two guys were in their prime during the late 80's to mid 90's, they were overshadowed by Drexler though. And it's funny how when you see vid essays about Clyde they always say that Drexler had little to no help the way Jordan with Pippen and Horace Grant. Which is simply mind-blowing cuz those early 90's Blazers were legit one of the deepest and all around greatest teams of all time: with the forementioned Duck and Kersey, then Terry Porter, Buck Williams, Walter Davis, Cliff Robinson, Danny Ainge, and Mark Bryant. just cuz they didn't have a second superstar the way the Bulls had, they were arguably the best team in the league in those years, which is a shame they never won a championship and are def one of the top 2 or 3 greatest teams to never win won.
People you should do next Josh Howard Devin Harris Kevin Martin Quentin Richardson John Salmons Ron Artest Mike Miller Josh Smith Shane Battier Davis Lee Emeka Okafor Mehmet Okur

I don’t think Clyde Drexler is a forgotten NBA player, he was pretty damn good and is a NBA legend. He might not get his flowers/props for how good he was and most of that was cause of MJ, but I wouldn’t say he’s forgotten.
You know how dope it must be to have been in the NBA for over a decade and then walk around and be anonymous is such a cool life
💯

His Aunt was my guidance counselor in high school. His dad was reffed me in intermural basketball. Good people
This one was a real change of pace.
One of my favorite players in the 90s. He wasn’t flashy and wasn’t superstar but was a phenomenal role player that I found myself relating to.
Forget these knuckleheads who don't realize that Gatling is a solid NBA player with an interesting storyline. Keep up the great work.
He was on that Kemp poster. He dapped up Kemp after he dunked on him. Can't forget that.
Your Best yet! Good Stuff, I like how you tweeked the intro.
Thank you!
dude got buckets. good selection for this episode, hes a good dude off court. very down to earth.
Chris Gatling was a solid player, but he was known for his high energy and intensity.
The gatling gun!
Thank you for the video. Been asking for this one for a while.
I remember Gatling when he played for the Warriors. Solid player.

Yep, he is truly a forgotten All Star. I had no idea he made the ASG! Great video

You might learn something about the NBA that existed before your memory...
Evans Turner was kinda mid from the jump unless you're counting college days
@@NewGoldie yea he had a crazy early career, during hs and college and once he got to the nba he kinda fizzled out.

The different background music in the beginning threw me off!!!💯💯💯
one favorite role players in the 90 s as a front court guy. Fun too watch
As im looking at him he was Randle without a 3 or passing skills
Donyell Marshall was going to be my player comp, but dude never made an All star team.
Thank you 😊
This was my favorite player past mitch richmond, man, as a die hard warriors fans, those mid 90s team had potential but never could get there.
I'm hoping finally for James Posey....
I'm not sure when I'm, but I'll definitely get to him
Do Michael Beasley next man. Come on.

No jason Richardson or Laphonso Ellis??😮😮
Hey, have you done a profile on Kiki vandeweghe?
Not yet, but I will
As a 35 year long Warriors fan don't make me relive this.🤣
Loved watching him as a Nugget. Melo played a bit like him too
Can you do one for Shandon Anderson?

I never seen him play College Basketball he was nice 😊
Bro was basically what Jeff Green is now
One of few nba players at the time to wear head band.
Interesting choice
I hate hearing stuff like this. Like if Gatling never had the brain injury, how would it have turned out?
I mean Richard Jefferson, here's 1 Rudy gay just retired! Chris gatling????
Those two are well known
Those guys will get videos eventually, but I gotta hit the deeper cuts too
Could’ve easily skipped the video Brody
