It's a fantastic idea! I'm not so interested in buying the water but normal household items would be an easy purchase, like the handwash, etc. It's a much more practical way to help, instead of someone just asking for cash donations. Count me in!

@@thankyouaus Did the result from your latest video go! Last video was seven months ago.
Also, Hillsong church which I attend is really big on thank you. And I’ve noticed that almost all the families and campuses stock thankyou. Have you reached out to the lead pastors or just all campus pastors and asked them to support and raise awareness? If everyone who attends those services start buying those products, that’s a lot more fires and a lot more work mouth from people that are relatively understanding.
You can make it an ongoing thing that Hillsong partners with you and whenever they have a big link on television which they spread across around the world, they could have your brand exclusively on screen on the tables and things

@@heinandwilson Thanks heaps for sharing your ideas with us Wilson! We really appreciate your input here 😊 To answer your question about our recent campaign, this really was No Small Plan and turns out it was no fast plan either! Without saying too much (negotiations are taking place so we can’t share it all publicly yet!), we’re down to a shortlist of partners and we need a little more time to work through the nitty-gritty stuff - which matters! So, for now, we don't have an exact date for the announcement that I can give you. We'll still be announcing the partner in Times Square - same billboard, same announcement, just at a later date. We need some more positive top comments!
This is flipping fantastic! Such a practical, easy way for us to make a difference! We quickly make judgements about charities, and question how much of the profit is used (maybe we have trust issues?). But so much so, that we don't end helping at all. This is such a simple way to help out those less fortunate, and we get to drink the water and eat a muesli bar at the end of the day! Honestly, what have you got to lose?

I appreciate your reply and yet it reveals you are taking quite a passive position about the issues. This does not reflect the sort of corporate responsibility that accounts for not only the success of the business itself but the health and sustainabiliy of 'externalities' for that business. (ref Corporation 2020 by Pavan Sukhdev) The nature of our society is our choice and responsibility and so is the nature of the consumeables promoted and sold within it. Our environment dictates our limits.

These guys are doing SOMETHING to change the world...shouldn't that be enough for now? I know how damaging plastic can be, but thats not going to stop ANYONE from using it. You probably have 1 plastic product lying in your house, at the least. People keep complaining that TY is adding to the bottle water industry, but whether they are there or not the Industry is not going to shrink, at least now some portion of the profits from this billion dollar industry will help change the world.

Well it will make Coles and Woolworths look like that have a social conscience without them having to do anything..that is what's in it for Coles and Woolworths. Profit going to Coles and Woolworths via their generic brands, or to this project...I know what I'd prefer. I'm not sure I use much in this range but will be pushing for it to be an option.
As for the bottled water. I saw a cardboard carton water "bottle" recently.

p.s Even they think bottled water is ridiculous, doesn't STOP people from buying so then might as well buy water that ends up helping others!

If you've been to the Thankyou Water website, the FAQ's state that between $0.08 and $1.20 is used on water for overseas countries - depending on how the water is delivered from factory to your hands (eg. freight etc). I would imagine this sum would remain the same, if not greater for the new stock. Give the website a look yourself.
You'll also see on their website that the products they sell support Australia and local business - yet another good reason to buy their products.

because coles and woolworth represent 75% of Australian's everyday purchase... And targeting a campaign directly towards two competitors is a great incentive for those two to make the move as their image could be threatened if they do not accept to store thankyou products.
Targeting a campaign towards "every supermarket" is the best way to be ignored and laughed..
You can find great books at the library on marketing strategy if you want to know a little more about that..

Great job! So many cynical comments below so wanted to add my support. To all the cynics: 1) do your research and show it before you slander; 2) you're going to consume stuff anyway, so buy something that gives back... AND still donate directly to causes; 3) put your money where your mouth is - consume less and donate more; 4) people in charity deserve to be paid a reasonable wage - or is their work worth less than yours? Pay ppl well (within reason) and we get better charities.

Also, I run another TH-cam channel that is doing quite well and thought I could give you guys maybe some tips around TH-cam.
To insure your TH-cam is doing as well as possible. Make sure that you are optimising it well with natural SEO. Do some research on this. Like every comment and respond to it with a question if you can to continue building activity in the comment section because TH-cam will prioritise videos that are getting the most interaction.
Put Backlinks to this video in heaps of other places on the Internet so that TH-cam knows that it is being recommended by other platforms and therefore must be good.
Add your own comment telling people to follow you on Instagram so that they always kept updated and let them know what’s happening next for you. People want to be your ambassadors but they need and want to know what’s going on 🙌🏼

While i'm at it, oldmatgreg is spot on. My local Coles has skeleton staff. Later in the day don't even have self check aisle open, means one less staff member. Staff, always the same faces walking around doing nothing. Except the two checkout people, out of 15 checkouts. Soon the BIG two will know when the mediocre spenders come in the store, actually have paid aisle blockers to funnel these shoppers to the more expensive products. Facial recognition, spend data, they'll use it no question.

"There is one difference that makes our business a social enterprise. It is 100% owned by the Thankyou Charitable Trust. Every quarter, we pay a dividend (profit generated) to the Trust. The Thankyou Charitable Trust has no administration fees or overheads other than minor compliance costs (that are covered by Thankyou Group Pty Ltd), which means that 100% of the funds received by the Trust from Thankyou Group goes directly to our projects."

It states quite clearly in the 'Bodycare' section of their website that they've avoided using nasty chemicals and it's an all natural base.
And why place the focus on the quantity of profit instead of the quality of their impact? Helping over 50,000 people in five years sounds pretty amazing to me, especially when that profit would probably have just gone to a for-profit water bottle company anyway. Watch Dan Pallotta's TED talk :)

vedio itself is very creative to put ideas this way. yet it seems a bit dissappointing if some people are right in the below comments saying that only 1% of their profit goes to help people. I wanna suggest to make any rule that coporates can be allowed to use 'donation' as selling points as far as they make donation more than a specific amount, which should absolutely much higher than 1%. 1% is ridiculous.

So the point of this campaign is to provide food and water for other countries who need it am I correct? I'm just curious, but why make specific products to help raise money to go towards this campaign? Why not use the already thousands and millions of products available? One more thing I was wondering, wouldn't it just be easier to use the already millions of dollars in profits Coles and Woolies generate each year to go towards this instead of marketing more products?
