    That Ng5-Nge6 combination was cool.

Excellent recap! Difficult to see the pieces with the board colours selected.

As a European, it never fails to amuse and disturb me how terrible US tournaments are.
If an IM compliments a tournament for having sets and some clocks, you know that US chess needs to get its shit together.

@@ChessDojo Im pretty sure we can find a few European Dojoers in different cities for Kostya to couch surf from tournament to tournament.

this is the kind of chess I like to play, just not giving the opponent any hope and slowly grind out the win. Well played for sure

If White omits d2-d4 Black should omit Nb8-d7, yes? Then he can meet the game idea of Nb5 with ...Nc6, Nxd6 Qxd6 and Black is still ceding the 'Bishop pair but has nice central play in return.

Can you hide the result of the game, makes it more fun to watch

I disagree. I watch videos like this to learn and knowing stuff ahead of time helps a lot for context. I wouldn't want the titled player analyzing the game to hold back their thoughts to avoid "spoilers". This isn't really like watching a sports broadcast lol

@@Isaac1729 you can look up the result online if you want to know it

I'm not here for the results. I'm here to hear your reasoning behind the moves. The opening was interesting. I'll never buy an e4, d4 course again!!! lol.

There's something remarkable in that Black is almost lost and has basically used 8 minutes and a bit of his increment. Most discussions of time-management somehow focus on playing quickly, but this is atrocious time-management. It's sort of natural for a kid, but at serious level they should learn this.

Kritin’s a tough opponent! Lost many games against him before.
