@@viisteist1363 Using the GUI, no. But if you're using it command line I think you can specify a partition instead of a full disk. Also, you never said how the bin file was made. If it was using a different program, definitely is possible to be just a clone of a partition rather than the full disk. Also, it's worth keeping in mind that different LBA size drives can lead to issues sometimes.
I switched from my trusty ddrescue to HDDSuperClone and I have to say I'm pretty happy, this program rocks, specially now that is open source, but I've been wondering if one should use the analyze function before performing a cloning, it's kinda confusing, as far as I understood in the manual "analyze" clones data too? I thought it was only for gathering info on what's wrong with the drive, but apparently it can help with the skipping of bad sectors, do you have any info or thoughts on this?
Nice gonna try to clone my 980 pro 2TB stuck in read-only due to the recent firmware issue. Every other clone software on widows faild. Hope this works.
I have a question please about ddrescue i wanna know what it’s gonna happen when the cloning complete finally cus it’s so slow when it reach the 94 percent it becames so so slow but it’s progressing i think I’ll need a day or two to get to 100% but I’m afraid if all that waiting and effort with no results, when it complete what is gonna happen I’m i be able to explore the recovered data or not cuz right now while it’s progressing the destination is blank and can’t be read
Hi ı have a question, ı m a computer engineer but i could nt solve this. İ have 1 TB seagate barracuda hdd and one 256 gb samsung ssd and my os is in my ssd. But because of my harddrive crashed, my computer is not opening do you have suggestions?
In some cases yes, in others not. Typically the performance is similar, but I've seen sever SAS and SCSI drives that read much faster using hddsuperclone than using ddrescue.
Thanks for the video, great information. You may want to record the audio again, there is heavy clipping taking place.
OMG SUCH A CUTE MACAW BACKGROUND IT INSPIRES CLAUDE4
Hi, can I create the image file in smaller parts using the same log? Or can I just clone one partition?
can i clone/restore the backup bin file directly to a new ssd and it would boot up like the original drive that the bin file was made from ?
Yes, if it was a complete drive image and not targeting just a single partition.
@@DatamedicsRecovery how do i do that and i ts not even possible to pick only 1 partition then?

Thanks a lot for these videos! Is HDDSuperClone better than ddrescue currently?
In some cases yes, in other cases no. I've seen mixed results.

Do I absolutely need Linux for this? I have never used it or have it downloaded.
Yes
