I noticed you said you can go to HCC then Cleveland Rock or go to Cleveland Rock then HCC. As a third option, you can go to HCC and not do Cleveland Rock at all.
@TrailTraveler it was great meeting you after watching so many videos at the bottom of the exit. Holy Cross was absolutely amazing. We entered on our own as our own little family and made it as a team meeting new friends all along the way. It was definitely a challenge but we conquered a bucket list item off ole dad’s list together as a family ! Of all the trails in Colorado this was at the top of my list and it definitely did not disappoint ! ✌️✌️
Great video. We’re heading out to Buena Vista in August. Do you have any trail suggestions in that area. Preferably something a little tamer than Holy Cross. We’ve done mosquito and tincup passes before. Have you ever been up Mt Antero?
Great detail on the trail. I last ran it back in the 90's, its changed a bit, but the obstacles are hard to forget. Oh, there is an interesting wrap around ledge above Cleveland that can be a challenge as well.
This looks awesome - wanting to get into this at some point. Would a stock Rubicon (35s) make it over this stuff? All these rigs have 37+ tires looks like.
Pay attention to the Gladiator at the top. They actually had a winch line going to the rear of the JK. You can see how far it pulled the Gladiator when the back of the JK went down. It seems there was plenty of slack and and the save was entirely on the part of the JK driver. Great reactions on the part of the driver.
@@TrailTraveler Funny, the group in front of us kept holding us up. We let you go by as soon as you asked. We weren’t blocking the creek, we moved out of the way to let dozens go back down & then you showed up behind us to go up. We sat there for 45 min yielding to everyone else, so please keep that in mind before making a backhanded comment like that.
@@gretathehundo If so, then my bad. All we saw was the people in front of us struggling on the obstacles and taking a long time. If it was not on you, then my apologies. Not that I called anyone out by name, as I wouldn't do that.
@@TrailTravelerwe were the only Toyotas out there and were told to stay put so everyone else could go back and forth in the creek. Hence why I’m not even in my vehicle. We weren’t blocking anyone on purpose. Our crossing was interrupted
@@gretathehundowas great meeting you that day. We appreciate y’all letting us pass when you did and know we were all held up by folks in front of your group.
I need to purchase a tow vehicle so when I drive 20 hours to get there if I have any whoopsies I have something to get me home. I tend to avoid the fun looking ones currently.
@TrailTraveler Awesome! Just wanted to pass the knowledge just incase! Hoping to hit holy cross soon so your video was nice to get to see how the trail is currently!
Y’all have some great vids! I have watched all of them. This is tops for me!!!
Oh man, Holy Cross!!

26:17 😂😂😂😂. Great video man
Nice video ! Should have got more video of that awesome cj7 in the back 😁
It's hard to film a large group and get enough footage of everyone. I wished we had more footage of everyone.
Awesome video. You from Michigan? We head out on the 27th of Aug for the 6 badge trails.
We live in Northern Colorado
@@TrailTravelerwe’ll be doing holy cross Friday the 30th if you wanna run with us.
@@besttodayever1916 Thanks for the invite, but since we just did it, I'm looking for more things that we haven't done before, or for a long time.

I'm hoping to do this trail before end of summer.

We have not done My Antero yet. Iron Chest is a good one there.
@@TrailTraveler thanks for the tip. We’ll check it out
@beaunugget4277 id definitely look at Chinamans gulch. Definitely a fun trail if you are on 35s, or experience with lockers and 33s
@@tyleranderson6707 Chinaman Gulch is awesome. We have several videos from there.

I watched a Cherokee do it on 35s with a 6” and they bottomed out on the river section a few times.
Nice videeo! Holy Cross is the only CO BOH trail I haven't done. That it is rated (up to) 10 is scary, since I'm on 35s.
Fantastic video! It was such a fun day. Made me want to go back already. And I agree, Kelli was amazing 👏👏👏
WELL GEE WALLY do you think 40s are to small for this TRAIL !! Well Beaver we did this in STOCK PICKUPS back in the 60s
I'm not on 40's....I had the smallest tires of anyone in the group. I also think the trail has gotten much harder over the years from heavy use.
22:04 That save was wild!

Love it!
Curious, why were the Toyotas blocking French creek, that's the side I went up in my 2dr?
After slowing us down for 4 hours, they kindly decided to let us go by

100% awesome
Why were those Toyotas stopped blocking the creek obstacle?

Wow...what a trail. My little 2.5" lift on 33's would never make it on this one...lol
Uhg ! I was supposed be there today. Maybe next week
Was that Rock Star Garage you were with ?
Them RIGS were Monster's. 😂
Nope, just a friendly bunch of folks. Mine was the least built and had the smallest tires on it!!!
Looks tougher than the last time I was there. Alot more washed out.
Don't think the Taco on 34s could make this one ...at least with out some serious banging
Wouldn't do it in that without some serious skid plates and rock sliders
@@TrailTravelerand lockers if you have them.
Money can't buy skill.
Just fyi shouldnt have people staging in the river. That is one thing that the forest service really doesnt like .
I am aware of that. I waited until the person in front of me was through, but the people behind me didn't know.
