I've tried living alone and true, IT IS REALLY DIFFICULT and expensive, but living alone really changes you, personally, it made me stronger and braver and I know how to deal with things alone - and true, andami mong matututunan. I've also realized/learned on how to appreciate the little things and hindi magsayang ng pera.
I'm not really a huge fan of Angel Dei but wow, this video made me respect her more. Yung may goal ka talaga and you were able to reach it at a very young age. It inspires people. Crosses fingers na makaabot din ako sa ganitong goal. No work ako for MONTHS now because of covid but saawa naman gumagawa ng diskarte through online selling to be able to earn money sa ganito situation, save up + help my family. Glad you made this one! Living independently with peace of mind is expensive talaga, but worth it. Totally worth it. Kahit na renting lang. So glad I stumbled upon your blog. Nakakarelate ako sa siblings part kasi my younger siblings used to live with me rin, and to be honest mahirap sila kasama sa bahay in a sense na, nagiging magulang ka sa kanila. Tapos most of the time namimisunderstood ka pa, lalo na ung concern mo. It's not that we don't love them or we don't like living with them pero, it is what it is. Salute, Angel. With living alone mas makikilala mo ang sarili mo and may madidiscover ka pang potential skills na hindi mo akalain na meron ka. heart heart!

I tried living alone too. What I did re sa expenses ko, my organizer ako then my label each section for grocery, water bill, electric bill etc. Then everytime dumadating yung pera hinuhulog ko dun sa organizer para pag dating ng due date ko kumpleto ko na sya. Tip lang. 😊
Watching this vlog makes me really envious on how you're living your life rn, how your parents understood your side that you want to live independently and on 21, such a young age, you're already financially independent. I've always wanted to live alone kasi one of the reasons bakit ako "sad and depressed and have a very heavy heart kid" is my family, but typical filipino parents would say "Hindi pwede, dapat sama-sama tayo." and it is taking a toll on my mental health lalo na ngayon quarantine. I'm already 22, a fresh college graduate, still unemployed because of the pandemic, and financially dependent on my parents. It really sucks because I can really feel na pabigat ako and mas lumala yung mental health problem ko haha. More support to you ate Dei, lavyu 💗

Ang problema ng mga Filipino Parents ay, bata parin yung tingin nila sa mga anak nila. Halimbawa:

Since College, independent na po talaga ako. Ni pisong duling di ako humingi sa parents ko. Dahil sa nakakuha ako ng full scholarship sa Ateneo. Until I get work. Ngayon super hirap kasi ako na din inaasahan ng mga kapatid ko for their enrollment this school year. Then I live independently dito sa dorm. Lahat talaga gastos halos wala na matirang savings sakin pero kahit 50 pesos lang ok n yan basta may matipon . Thanks Angel for this inspiring message 😊

1st sem of my 5th year in college, lumipat ako sa apartment ng friend ko. Then 2nd sem nag dorm ako. Growing up, napaka iritable ko sa ingay. Gusto ko payapa lang paligid ko. Ako rin! I enjoy being alone. Nagsasamgyup pa ako nang mag-isa haha! Minsan magtatanong pa yung iba kong friends kung hindi ba malungkot mag-isa. Masaya ako mag-isa even shopping alone. Walang naghihintay sayo, hindi mo kailangang magmadali haha. Kaya lumipat na rin ako ng apartment kasi madalas namimisunderstood. Akala nila suplada/snob ako buuuuuut sorry may times talagang ayaw kong makipag-usap kaya mas okay talaga to live alone 👌 you don't have to be stressed out by what others think of you haha!

Just want to share my story.. 18 y/o na ako now and 13 years old palang ako ay mag isa na ako sa apartment though binabayaran ni mama ko yung apartment and a kuryente. About sa allowance doon talaga ako nag struggle.. imagine 500 pesos sa isang lingo? Breakfast lunch and dinner and pamasahe sa school project and etc!! Nahirapan ako mag manage ng time, biruin mo hindi mo alam kung kakain ka na ba, maglalaba or magrereview?? It was really a struggle pero now hindi na ako nahihirapan to live alone again!!❤️❤️
I really want to be independent also. Almost everyday we got arguments with my siblings that turns out they dont respect me anymore. But I have to stay because of the responsibilities that my sister left for me. And I am also obliged , she just passed away. And i'm so stress of living with these spoiled brat kiddo's 🤦🏼♀️🥺

Super relate po ako sayo ate Angel. its just that, I was 20 yrs old nung tumira ako independently. From Zamboanga City to Cebu City. A month after my graduation, I decided to find a job na agad kasi ayoko nang nakikita na nahihirapan mga magulang ko, so kahit di ako sigurado kung kaya ko, ginawa ko parin. and yun ang dami ding adjustment, same talaga nung sayo, nag boarding house ako, di ako marunong magluto masyado, basics lang kaya ko, thou marunong ako maglaba but di ako sanay na ako naglalaba lagi, kasi minsan si mama yung naglalaba. 3 yrs nako sa Cebu now, and kinakaya ko talaga lahat. I love leaving alone ever since I worked at SLMC way back 2016, I became independently, I learn a lot about myself, yung pag may sakit ka wala kang aasahan kundi sarili, yung dati di ka marunong magluto ngayon kabisado mo na. this is very good. the only negative from most people i know who live independently is they don't know how to personally handle issues regarding their old people. they just usually ask or pay others for that. it's not bad at all but it would be nice to have someone you love take care of you when you're old.
This is so inspirational. You're really a good speaker. As a person who lives in a dorm because I study in Manila (but I'm now in the province) I really can relate to the things you've just said. It's not easy to live independently but because I choose this life, I have to take full responsibility to the choice I've made. Good thing I know household chores because since I was a kid my mom taught me to do these things hahahaha. Honestly, for me, one of the hardest part of living independently is when I get sick. I have no one to rely. Also, since I want to save some money I choose to do my own laundry so most of the time that I have after class goes to doing my laundry. It's really hard. But this life taught me how to be independent and realize how hard it is for my parents.

Same ate, I enjoy being by myself. I enjoy peace and quiet times. That's why I really wanna live independently and also I easily get stressed whenever there are other people in our house then my siblings are noisy but I can't control it because obviously it's not my house and I'm not the only person living in it. My family often misunderstood me for being distant but obviously I'm not. I just enjoy my own company.

Started living alone at the age of 15 when I was in college! Up until when i started working. Super hirap ang adjustment since aasikasuhin mo sarili mo na ikaw lang talaga! I'm so glad after 8 yrs, nakapag stay din ako sa house namin since Quarantine.

Been independent since I am 20 and in my 30's now. No regrets, before hinde pumayag parents ko pero un tlaga gusto ko. I became more responsible and mas naaalagaan ko sarili ko. Living abroad now and yes lahat problema mo, will make you a better person and will not rely with anybody.

Thank you for this vlog ate angel, I've been trying to cope with the misunderstandings I have with my siblings over petty things. I thought it was just normal and it's just a part of my routine that I'd get stressed every now and then when I needed to help them at times I have to do a lot of things as well. I'm a family-oriented person but I find this vlog inspiring to live alone and work harder especially now I'm in my first year in college. And I agree that it's also a way of giving back to our parents that we should not ask for money and give them what they need if we're already capable of making a living. Love you ate angel! Magkasama kami ng sister ko sa rinerent namin before pero I decided to move out and live on my own kasi mas nag eenjoy ako na ako lang mag-isa, less noise, less kalat aside from the fact na yung apartment na pinaglipatan ko is malapit lang din sa workplace ko.😊 Medyu malaki nga lang yung babayaran na rent, elec & water bill kasi wala na akong kahati 😅 pero habang tumatagal nakapag adjust na rin naman ako 😊 living independent at the age of 21 ❤
