I love how he has so much movement on his fastballs. I remember he would always try to blow past hitters with his 100 mph fastballs in his rookie/sophomore sesason, and he'd do it for maybe the first 3 innings or so and then he declines. Now he's settles around 95+ with a heck of a lot of movement on his sliders/fastballs - and he's 24... Amazing...

+Roger Repo that's just stupid and provincial. They don't ever use a ball that's new and out of the box. They're always rubbed up with mud per the rules of the game. 2nd even if it were right out of the box given that he's one of 4/5 best pitchers in the world I'm betting he'd be just fine. @RisingUP20 I didn't have seats in this section I just snaked my down to watch the pitchers. I have plenty of bleacher seats this season so I'll do my best to get as many as possible. I have many more on my 'to-get' list.

Damn. Sucks that his last game is on, I'm watching it and breaks my heart to see him retire for the Mariners, He could have a career for Roger Clemens Nolan ryan As well. But I have his autograph card which actually is pretty cool, but I would still like to see him alot. Honestly, I kinda still want him to play because you never know that he will probably/probably not will become a "Hall Of Famer" Prayers he will still become a hall of famer tho. And his nickname is "King". And at least I saw his last and final game before he leaves for the Mariners, that autograph will make me still happy.

Glad to have #KingFelix in Atlanta, done a few videos on him since he arrived in Braves Country. I'm excited that he's ready to battle. I think he will have evolved into a more crafty pitcher than he was before, less of a flamethrower and more of a contact pitcher. Who knows, maybe he'll be the next Anibal Sanchez for the Braves.
Excited to see his next chapter as well! Change of scenery and new coaching and analytical support could certainly help him.
he said "without looking at the numbers", not "i don't look at numbers". these two phrases have different meanings. what he's saying is that, just by how he feels about both pitchers, he'd take Felix. so your comment that it's his opinion is actually exactly what he is saying; he's giving his feeling about it.
Kershaw is more dominant in numbers in part because he pitches in the NL. and then there's the difference in team, as you point out. and this is actually a huge difference.
This dude is a stud, if he was on a good team, he would be a 25 game winner every year at worst, if he was pitching every 4th day, he would win 30 every year on a good team.

Yes, I was responding to the question of "Who do you think is better, Felix or Clayton"? My response inherently is my opinon; I never said it as fact. I also did admit my bias. But, I guess I will look at the numbers: Both have put up 6.8 WAR seasons, with Kershaw also having a 4.7 and a 4.1. Felix has a 6.2 and a 5.5 to go along with being unluckier on BABIP (.296 for Felix vs. .275 for Kershaw), and LOB% (74.8% Felix, 77.2% Kershaw).

@mohammadzafar The seats right behind the visitor's bullpen are basically right on top of the pitcher. No zoom necessary. I probably could have made a swipe at his jersey if I really wanted to.

If he is your favorite than your vote becomes an opinion not a fact due to your already like towards Felix. When you say do not look at the numbers , it`s all about numbers. Granted Felix does one hell of a job to put up with a team of hitters worth above subpar at best.
Kershaw newer and much more dominant in numbers yet has better overall team to pick him up. Both Cy young winners. Would be a great pitching duel.

felix is a great pitcher, but if I could have any pitcher in his prime to give me a quality start, go deep into the game and put pressure on the other team...It would either be Steve Carlton or Nolan Ryan. I wish pitchers today could be more like they were!
