    This is so sad. Like others saying, when you’re a kid listening to Tupac and Biggie they’re big grown men, but now in your 30s/40s they just seem like very young men who were ahead of there time and went way to soon.

    I remember being in my single digits and seeing Big and 2pac on the music videos. I thought these dudes were larger than life. And for being as young as they were, they were really that. Being 37 now and you realizing that you outlived them by a significant amount of time, and you STILL feel like they were larger than life- even in death. That's just how iconic they were, and still is. Way ahead of their time. I always wonder when I think of Big "Damn bro, what if?...."

    BIG was soft-spoken. Music was his way of opening up a bit more and releasing his thoughts.
    He said in this interview that he has to rap about violence and street life because its all he knew. But I promise you by the year 2000 biggie would’ve evolved. Biggie was a smart guy and I know he would’ve dropped the gangster act and found new ways to express himself.

      @chunkyMunky329 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@truthforyouth1995 I disagree. BIG would have succeeded in any era because he was extremely talented, but I'm not sure about Tupac. Pac has a similar story to 50 cent: he was a mediocre rapper with zero notable verses or lines who got shot, then as a result of the media attention he starts working with Dre and suddenly he's selling crazy numbers which gradually decline. Tupac can only succeed in another era if someone shoots him in that era and then Dr Dre agrees to sign him.

    It's a shame that he was a lot safer selling drugs in the winter in Brooklyn than leaving a party in Beverly Hills. Almost 26 years later I'm still wondering why they did the album rollout in California as opposed to just staying in New York. I was nine years old at the time and MTV said he would be in California for a MONTH. When I heard that, my heart sank. Everyday that went by I hoped and wished they didn't kill him. I was relieved every day I didn't hear anything until that fateful Sunday. Broke my heart. Looking at this footage they were genuinely appreciative that he came in. Biggie even asked if the guys were coming to his listening party. I can't imagine what the crew thought when news of his death came out. Right here in this video they all had a beautiful moment with him but they didn't know this was the last time they'd ever see him. It is pretty special and sad that this is likely the last public interview he ever did. I saw a short clip of JV years ago that they were all shocked when he died so soon after. I always wondered if Biggie was really gonna come back and do that song for them. I personally believe he forgot after he left the studio. What happened to Lance after this? He had a job and then he kinda didn't. I don't even know what his role was in Biggie's career. I hate the fact that Biggie's killer is doing Lord knows what that day and he's going to commit this terrible crime in days. Biggie wanted to watch his children grow and within days he was gone. Sad.

    Damn. Imagine how these guys felt, hearing about Biggie getting killed. It would probably mess me up. Getting to meet someone so talented, who's a huge star, and comes off as just a normal, respectful, kind person, and getting to sit, and have a lengthy conversation with them. Then 4 days later, finding out they were killed. It was sad to hear Big talk about getting ready for his new album to drop. He had no idea that he would not be alive to see that happen.

    Seeing and watching this interview with Biggie makes me sad, because he was looking forward to bigger and better things in his future and was bettering himself, and he was a cool person. But then come 3/9/1997 he gets gunned down and killed, and this interview was 4 days before his death. I think had Biggie not went to California after his mom told him not to go, he probably would still be alive today, and him going to California was a bad idea. From this interview right before his death, Biggie talks about what he was planning on doing in his future and he talks about his 2nd album "Life After Death" that was about to be released at the time, and everybody was just enjoying his company. There's even a young girl who talks to Biggie and she tells him that she loves his music. This interview even shows Biggie being nice, sweet, generous, kind, and friendly, and that's what makes him cool. He even says how he would love to see his 2 kids grow up, and it's also good to know that he was no longer the same person or as violent like from when he first came out as a rapper. Biggie had changed his lifestyle at the time of this interview, but it's still sad knowing that he's not alive and was gunned down and killed for no reason, and Biggie could have still been alive today. But God bless him.

And the response he gives is just heart breaking…that he just plans on continuing to make great songs and to do it with his best friend Cease. I remembering listening live that day. I hope JV gets his proper recognition for his video. I have seen this all over the internet for years and they never credit Jeff "Don't call me jeff!"

      Dude, you don’t even know! I missed my college class to hear this. Kids now a days just do not get how huge radio, ESPECIALLY the Doghouse was, to the youth. I listened to the whole thing knowing JV would do us right w/ his respectful questions yet also like a journalist! I just *KNEW* That this was not only a historic interview, but that something was coming! WHY BIGGIE!!! Dude!!!!! His intentions were pure!! Squash beef!!! But DUDE!! And sure enough… 2 days later that’s it. RIP to him and Pac

    this radio was damn lucky to get this last BIG interview. Would've loved to be one of the winners of the signed BIG CDs they were giving as prizes.
    This was a great interview too. BIG was a great person to speak to. Most these rappers now won't even sit up in a sit while giving an interview..................BIG appreciate things. It's a shame that he really never got to enjoy his fortune from his success since the money didn't really start rolling in for BIG until his 2nd album blew up. Puff he wonderful from BIG start the jump but BIG basically had to give Puff first 1st album just to get on par. Puff forsaken this kid in so many ways
