Show No Mercy was my first SLAYER Album. One of the greatest album Ever.
SOH was quickly after as was Seasons, then barely made it to 2 minutes into a borrowed copy of Arm Scratch edgelord "buy me"
I bought the first print vinyl in 1984 and i didn't even like the music much back then.
Good thing these guys listened to Venom and followed in their footsteps:)

Ya, I believe you that there is an '83 demo. Played this song back again & there are bigger differences than I noticed the first time.-fuck they were good from day one, Show No Mercy is the greatest debut record ever made, I still play it alot & I got my first copy back in '84!! I would like to get a good copy of the demo.
I can tell you this demo exists, tracks on the tape are 'Black Magic', 'The Antichrist' & 'Fight Till Death'.
Where's the rest of the demos at that one can listen to?
One of the most scariest songs ever put out, I was 9 years when I first heard the studio version.

It's not any demo. You can recognise it as it slows down in the last verse after solo as recorded on Show no Mercy!
I think this was recorded at tom' s parents garage; that's where they practice until rick rueban discovered/signed them to their first contract. I could be wrong though...
Criss Vomit they had been recording and touring heavily before that happened. Rick Rubin saw them lives in Brooklyn at L'Amours when they were playing back to back shows there over the course of a weekend back in 1985

this is the original track without the fade in, the reverb or delay that tom has in this song, and somebody did something to the song because it sound like "old". It's easy to know this is not a home-made recording 'cause of the sound of the drum, is has reverb and it doesn't sound like an acoustic drum at all, you can notice that it was edited...penis

Branko Pavic slayer sent out a 3 track demo to magazines that feature 3 tracks off show no mercy so this could well be off that demo.
to me it sounds like a cassette dub of a rough studio mix

Used to tape trade & I don't remember a Slayer demo from '83 or any year. There were rehearsal tape(s)
They also recorded Aggressive Perfector for the metal massacre 3 compilation album. I don't remember if it was recorded before show no mercy or during the sessions for show no mercy.

Thanks for keeping this track posted for so long, but is there any chance of posting the other 2 tracks from the demo? I can't find the Slayer demo anywhere. There are a few fakes out there and rehearsals but that's it. You'd think being one of the Big Four, it would be about as common as No Life Til Leather, Last Rites and the Anthrax demos.

It's the original version of the track without the fade-in that was used on the album. It's not "the same track with the bass turned up", it's just unmixed and most likely taken from a 2nd or 3rd gen tape.
It's a late generation copy of an early Canadian cassette release.
