Saludos.

    seems like the Sony didn't had the "Sound" button featured enabled during play.... Trust me with it enabled the sound is very clean and clear...

    Appreciate the sound comparison. Amazing how many speaker reviews don't let you listen to the quality of the speakers. Subscribed.

    Bose has brighter sound and crispier high tones in front of Sony that has better base line. I vote for Bose.

    I have sony speaker for a year now. Sounds amaizing even better than bose soundlink 2. Maybe sounds nicer also because if the sound is bad quality sony automaticly restrict the volume... which is shame sometimes. i would say it sounds better the any bose that i hear especialy mini (which has a lot of distorsion... very anoying sound) but than as well is 2 to 5 times heavier than any bose. But for 100 to 150 dollar or eur and for using it in and around the house is perfect. But dont expect to carry this thing in the park or the beach... oh no.

    In my opinion the Sony sounds way more natural. The mini just lacks in the mid compartment which bothers the crap out of me. (I owned the Mini II looking for a better speaker)

  • @Gloob8K
    @Gloob8K  10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Yes the Bose does sound clearer, which is surprising cause usually it's the Bose that sounds muffled compare to some other speakers

      Clear? It has obvious lack of low range.

    • @gregwilson2068
      @gregwilson2068 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just the opposite. Sony had better definition and separation.
      Depends on how important you want 'bluetooth'. I'd rather get small wired speakers such as the JBL 'On Beat micro'. Very clear sound, cheaper than most - that have any quality of sound. Also works as ipod dock. AC or battery, but battery life is not that long.
      Or for even better sound get something like Aktimates or Audioengine. now THAT is proper sound quality

    Yes the Bose has more treble,but sounds harsh.The Sony has more bass and less highs but I think this can be worked out with an equalizer adjustment.I'm going to buy the Sony to take to the pool with me,it's down to 99 bucks now,which is a bargain for a 20 watt speaker of this quality.

    I like the small form factor of the Bose which makes it easier to carry in my laptop bag. But I have room for the Sony too so it's a toss up between the two. I have to agree with the reviewer about the bass sound comparison. There is little difference to my ears with my system's subwoofer kicking in about the same between the two models. His conclusions about sound differences between the two for highs and mid-range with the Sony as the winner concur with my own. If the Bose was priced the same as the Sony ($99 on Amazon for the BTX300 and $250 for the Sony BTX500 and Bose BTX500 for $199 ) I'd chose the Bose for the more potable size.

    Just purchased the white version. The heavier weight of the Sony speakers will allow the speakers to do their thing more.
    I'm guessing that when the non-replaceable battery does eventually give in, it can still be used as a mains only device, which is fine for me as I really will be using it primarily as a bookshelf speaker.

  • @andysmith8031

    I have the sony speaker in white. Was lucky enough to get it free when i got my Xperia z2. I thought i was just getting some crap Bluetooth speaker thrown in with my phone deal. Turned out to be awesome. I use it every day. In fact using it now with my iPad to watch videos with decent sound.

    Does Soundlink Mini really cost 300$ in Malaysia? I have my dad buying it for me. I'm in the Philippines. Fortunately, because of my dad's nature of work he will be in Singapore and any other neighboring country for the next months so if somebody could give me the pricing for SL MINI in Singapore, Malaysia, et al, that'd be great! Thanks ahead, savior!

    I have very serious suspicion that you manipulated with raw recorded sound. It is clearly audible in first audio sample, especcialy in quiet part of Mozart. Soud from Bose include clearly much portion of noise and Sony does not. I have same recorder as you and I`ve never heard so much differences in recording of two sources in same time in same place althought if I use an auto level recording. I like yours reviews for BT speakers because they sounds with minimum distortion caused TH-cam recompression but... Please don`t change a recorded sound because then it looks that you payed by Bose and all this show looks like funny theatre with incompetent director.

    • @Gloob8K
      @Gloob8K  10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I do not change anything in the recording. I use the zoom h4n at 96khz and 24bit and record the sound the same room the same distance the same exact settings, as you see in the video. I have no reason to manipulate anything in the videos

    Many say the Bose Soundlink Mini has superior sound but I found it to be tinny. Too much on the "high" end...which can be construed as sounding louder. I liked the Sony's sound. Now to check other comparisons before I buy.

    I had that two speakers! Sony btx 300 is much clearly and not sound like crack even in the highest volume! Bose with its size is good and easy to carry but one thing i hate is when bose soundlink mini when ii turn to the highest volume the sounds started with some cracks sounds and some noisy like zzzzzzzzz!!10%- 70% is the best as maximum volume level you can here the bose soundlink mini is better to sony!!

    Hi Gamamori thank you very much for all your videos, they have been a huge help for me while I try to decide which Portable speaker is the best for my needs. after a ton of videos and research I have narrowed my options to three: Sony SRS-BTX300, TDK A33 and Logitech UE Boom... Could you give me a hand? you don´t have any videos showing a direct comparison between any of those, you almost always compare the speakers to the Bose SL Mini... I will be very gratefull if you at least tell me your opinion on which to choose and why... thanks, and sorry for the bad english!
    greetings from Venezuela

    • @Gloob8K
      @Gloob8K  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Between those three speakers that you mentioned, the Sony is probably the nicest speaker but doesn't have the power like the other two does. The TDK is the one with the best sound out of the 3 of them. But, the UE Boom is the only one that is fully waterproofed. I tend to compare every speaker to the Bose Mini, cause that is the most popular speaker and a very popular brand that everyone knows about.

    • @ernestoisaaccura8969
      @ernestoisaaccura8969 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gamamori Thanks for answering to my question. Yes I understand why you compare most of them with the Bose, I was just justifiying my doubts hehehe. So, if the three of them were at the same price, which one would you choose? and do you think I narrowed my options wisely? the one I liked the most is the Bose SoundLink II but that one is more expensive at 270$...

    • @ernestoisaaccura8969
      @ernestoisaaccura8969 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gamamori With Sony BTX300 at 147.34$, TDK A33 at 142.99$ and the UE Boom (Black) at 175.69$. I found myself with three nice portable speakers more or less at the same price range. As you say in your other video, it's a shame we can't have all features in just one speaker.

    I've read some reviews where it stated that when the sony speaker is charging it sounds significantly louder is this true?

    • @Gloob8K
      @Gloob8K  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      NOFATCHICK1 It does sound louder plugged in as they limit the power output on battery

    I thought the Bose distorted a more at max volume, especially with the dance track? Would you recommend the Sony more if playing at high levels in a keep fit class?

    • @Gloob8K
      @Gloob8K  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sony sounds great at pretty much any volume levels, the only downside to it is the maximum output is kind of low. If that is not an issue for you then the sony is a great choice. I personally like the bose cause of it's size, and for that it sounds great.

      Gamamori what about the thing you say from the non replaceble battery on the Sony? Will I really lose the unit in a year or maybe 2?... And if that is so, which speakers don't have that issue? thanks

    • @Gloob8K
      @Gloob8K  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ernesto Isaaccura The Soundlink Mini has a replaceable battery. The others do not offer that. This doesn't necessarily mean you can't exchange it with an after market battery... but you have to be savvy and find a way of taking the speaker apart without damaging it too much, to replace the battery. With the bose mini, it's a few screws on the bottom of the unit, and you're done!

    • @Gloob8K

      The sound link mini is a very good speaker overall. The UE Boom is a bit louder but doesn't have the bass the Mini does
