It wasn't clearly shown in the vid but which type of bumper reinforcement bar did you end up using to mount your OEM CSL front bumper? My understanding is the stock Kevlar bar won't work with OEM CSL front bumper and one the pre-facelifted E46 M3 aluminum reinforcement bar + bumper struts is required to mount an OEM CSL front bumper. Could you clarify?
@@MunichVenom I have the Status Gruppe bumper like yours but with a tow hook hole. So I guess I don’t need the bracket sliders that slide onto to those white brackets on each side. Also, just get rid of the kevlar bumper brace and use nothing right? Didn’t get to see you slide the bumper on in the video.
yes there are no brake ducts with the csl bumper. The one hole in the bumper is for the intake. Even on the stock m3 bumper the fender well duct holes are plugged from factory so the car never really came with brake cooling.
The bumper on the car is oem csl, the black unpainted bumper was a Status Gruppe one. I had a 2 bumpers because I didn’t like the fitment of the status Gruppe bumper.
They do not light up in the dash for me. I even pushed the button to activate the lights and it still didn’t cause the lights to show up on the cluster.

Do you need the side bracket sliders on the replica bumper?
On the status bumper it did not have anything to hold the brackets but I believe miles end bumpers you get to keep the bracket function

Is it possible to buy a brand new CSL bumper?
Yes it is possible to get the bumper brand new. Mine came brand new from bmw in Germany. That being said it is very hard to get your hands on it

I got the oem csl bumper brand new and they go for around 10k. Biggest problem is finding one at this point
so you need a new resevoir because the bumper can't fit?
Yes the oem csl front bumper uses the pre-lci reservoir so if it’s a pre facelift car you wouldn’t have to get it
