That's maybe a tiny bit overdramatic.
Miui 14 global is still MIUI 12 with minor changes. Xiaomi should be careful because this will make them lose many customers if they continue to make features exclusive to Chinese roms only. Color os 13 is for Chinese devices is still the same as other variants. Oneui always release universal updates to all regions.

they're unable to add alot of features because of certain laws in countries (and because of google too), thats why the roms are seperated between regions

i wish they made it into the global update these new features are soo cool! i would like to use them but unfortunately its not on the global yet but atleast my 12 lite and 12t pro has miui 14

You didn't include the "Always on display" settings. They added an option to make it permanent just like with Samsung phones in the Chinese version but not on the global. I really love that feature.

I can't seem to find the petition link you mentioned you would include in the description box. The global update is basically still MIUI 13. I am done with Xiaomi after this disappointment after waiting for so manny months. It's time to experience the beauty of OneUi
I swear I waited for months for the update and now I don't feel like I have an update cause nothing really changed with the exemption

U are right, the whole MIUI global version is just a plain home screen with apps and lacks customization, Nothing has changed, only thing that changes with updates is MIUI version name, It's just getting boring and makes me want to buy a Samsung phone

Why Xiaomi does not treat all its users equally?MIUI 14 very raw in the global version. IOS goes out to the whole world the same way. I would really like to have the ability to customize icons, add and manage widgets, and have access to themes. Please listen to your fans from all over the world

Global or EEA roms are trash cuz they get almost nothing new in every update. It's not even a real MIUI upgrade, just a new name... For those with older devices, just go for custom roms like EU custom third party rom which is with all features based on china rom and even better optimized than stock MIUI rom.

I can see why some say they won't buy xiaomi devices anymore.. I mean sure it's not that big of a deal but features are features 💁 and they are getting it and we aren't... It's not even 1 or 2 features it's like a completely different miui version... Disappointing

If you are on miui 14. Just switch to classic home screen and you will get those feature. For AOD display items to always.

I like china rom but most fatal thing in china rom is delayed notification except if i turned off miui optimization the notification not delay anymore

Mine is indonesian version. I think u need to update your launcher and other things.
have almost what miui cn have. Only few feature like pet didn't add in. I can adjust icon folder.

As far as i know you should be good. Just make sure you check the 4g and 5g bands available in the phone and ensure the same works in your country and you should be good.

Actually,not smoother,but with so many ads in so many apps in Chinese version,update faster(test members only,and it needs at least level 4 in Chinese ver MIUI community,which is hard to reach),not that easy,if msg and phone app are changed to Chinese version,I prefer global version.
