Honestly I love this series so much. It’s super inspiring to watch someone write an entire anime series with a small team and do it really well! Great work, I seriously cannot imagine the motivation and creativity BrownTable has.
maybe I'm reading too much into it but it's so cool that this series is addressing themes of imposter syndrome and not living up to the expectations you have of yourself. Most anime of this type kinda don't do that and focus on something like "friendship" and "perseverance" or standard shounen stuff, so it's cool to see indie animation stuff that tackles complex issues. Also, "I envy people that have never met you." lmao
I don’t think you’re reading into it. Much of this series’ themes seem centered on not only personal or external experiences, but also in the case of both Hope and Itsuki, a lack of personal identity. Both characters base their identities around others, wether out of love in the case of Hope, who wants to honor her father (and perhaps, in a misplaced attempt to repay him for him not being able to apply to Cosmos Academy himself because he was busy raising her), or out of obligation in the case of Itsuki, who may resent his father for making him an extension of his own desire for a continued family legacy in the Interstellar Force but goes along with it because he cannot imagine another way to be and because he still may love his father (or at the very least, wants his sister out of his father’s schemes). It’s only by confronting each other and be put in situations that make them realize what they value that they start to build a sense of identity and self-esteem, as Hope discovering that she wants to support her friends allows her to overcome her insecurities. It is a desire that is primarily her own, based on what she values. Itsuki lacks this individuality and Hope will later force him to reconcile with it. He spends most of his time being what others expect (like his father or the general public) or trying to please others (like with Carmen or his sister, both of whom he shows a fun, kinder side he never gets to with anyone else). Hope and Alex later force him to be honest with himself about wether or not he wants to be the way others expect him, wether he should be the condescending bully to Hope that Carmen wants him to be or the dutiful student and future legend that his father wants him to be.
As an independent animator wannabe, this kind of content is amazing and inspiring. I'm sure it's inspiring to everyone who is just a few pushes away from their dream. As long as a story has any amount of heart that the audience can feel, it's worth making and showing off to the world. Some stories are just kinda mediocre, yours isn't, but the heart that touches others in those stories push audiences like us to keep watching. You're doing great with this series and I can't wait to see the rest of it!
This show is absolutely amazing from what I’ve seen. As an up and coming writer myself I find the dialogue and the story to be somewhat inspiring. Can’t wait to see more episodes man.
This is honestly astounding. Everything about this feels like an actual anime--I was shocked when I exited full screen and saw the TH-cam logo! Keep at it, Mauricio! Every episode inspires people to follow their dreams and make them a reality! Thank you so much!
The amount passion and effort put into this series is amazing. From the voice acting to animation, its all really solid! Really excited to see more of this series in the future!
the leads and the drama between them is just as interesting as ever! weird how the premise seems very very shonen, and yet the show itself is a lot more drama. we don't have any of the storytelling through battle that makes shonen what it is yet. still, i love the way you're subverting "main character has a big dream" trope with hope, and exploring whether she's doing it because she wants to or feels like she has to. keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! I love the shonen set up but have always been more of a dramatic writer so that’s what I’ve been trying to go for! Thanks again! - Mauricio
Second episode and you can already feel the technical aspects improving. This anime is refreshing, I enjoyed the dialogues and the light-hearted jokes, but it feels like the whole universe is already revolving around Hope, like she's the only conversation topic in this episode for everyone or all the characters are defined by their relation to her, but I guess this is because the story just started and they will be fleshed out eventually. I hope she doesn't devolve into a Mary-Sue.
More, give us more, this series is perfect for what's going on in the world right now and it gives me, for lack of another word, hope for the world and for myself
This episode was a big improvement from episode 1! The dialogue is a lot more natural, the animation is more fluent, the voice acting has improved, and the character interactions are very enjoyable to watch! There are some things I font understand though, but I'm sure they'll all all be answered as the series continues. Good luck!
This episode had great writing, animation, and musical moments! I love that it feels important and sets up the story moving forward, and the sparring session has some great animation! Seeing independent creators get their stories out to the world brings me the most joy in the world, congratulations! I have critiques below, but this is full of love. 1) Audio mixing, scene changes particularly with music feel like they stop abruptly (no fade). 2) Reo is definitely someone who repeats the same reasons to himself and the same insults to put others down; but it feels like during training he found many different variations in the exact same sentence for his dialogue. 3) I love the small moments of character acting like where Reo covers his mouth, or the student in the medical ward reacts to the tension! Will definitely have to rewatch this with the first episode to see how they come together again :)
Wow. This was a good episode. Glad I discovered this series. Thanks algorithm. I gotta say, the VO is really improved over episode 1. There's tension in the lines and great drama going on I can feel in the voices of the main cast. Characterization is coming together, and I'm finding the class overall more interesting this time around. Good work, everyone.
"Why did you bring me out here at SIX in the morning?" I was expecting something like 4:00 am or something since his father seems so strict, 6:00 am is generous from my perspective. I usually wake up from 5:30-6:30 am so I wouldn't have much trouble adjusting to that compared to people who wake up later but still.
This episode was absolutely amazing! My eyes were glued to the screen the entire time. The new opening was so visually pleasing and the music is magical! Everything about this episode had me excited. The art alone; the lighting of the wet skin, the detail on the muscles, the still frames at the end of the episode, I could go on. The level of quality for an independent project is mind blowing and I can see how much everyone has improved between episodes. I’m gonna be rewatching this a million times for the art, the music, and to look for any clues to add to my growing theories. I can’t wait to see episode 3! Amazing work everyone! Thank you for sharing this beautiful work of art!
What a stellar second episode! -We get to learn more about Hope, and why she wants to be a ranger. -The animation seemed to have improved since the last episode. -Hope is learning more through personal training, but is still apprehensive and vulnerable. -Other characters get their chance in the spotlight, and they get to develop as people. I'm looking forward to how the story progresses.
If I loved the first episode, I really really loved this one. Just like everyone says, this is a masterclass not only in storytelling but in everything! The writing, the animation, the voice acting, the original songs, really loved this episode, thank you Mauricio by keep entertaining us with great productions, we'll keep supporting you, the rest of amazing crew, and this amazing production. Keep achieving your goals :)
This is literally an inspiration to anyone who wants to put their projects out there. You're doing great mate. 👌👌👌 Gotta love casual villain foreshadowing, attack on titan style. And the character development...can't wait for the analysis videos to come out.
This episode was amazing! I feel like the team has finally realized what kind of story it wants to tell, and what you guys want the show to look like. The backgrounds are GORGEOUS, the movements are less stiff, and overall this looks so, SO polished. The dialogue in this episode is also much better, and I really love the way the episode ended. I'm really excited for the third episode! I hope this series grows big so everyone realizes just how amazing this could be.
Thanks so much! The story for the season has actually already been written completely but episode 2 was reworked to flow better and give viewers what they’re seeking a little earlier 🙌 The plot for the episode remained the same. The show will only get a lot crazier and more emotional from here so I’m excited for u and everyone to see it! 🙏
Shocked this doesn't have more views. The sparring looks real good - shows that you don't need a AAA budget to have good scene planning and flow. Really curious what's next for Hope
Ayo, but real quick, can we talk about the animation on Itsuki and Hope throwing hands?! That had absolutely no right to go so hard 🤣 that shit was IMMACULATE
Only episode two and I'm already so invested in every character especially Hope! I love all the messages and lessons already. Can't wait to see more! Continue to take your time and work on this masterpiece!
More!, please more of this content. It’s so good and I love it all, please keep up the good work and love this stuff; you guys are amazing. Fan instantly!❤️
0:45, 1:18, An awesome bit of visual storytelling, showing the doubt both leads are struggling with, Itsuki’s isolation and Hope contrasting it surrounded by her friends (the solution to Hope’s burn-out, of course, being her friends coming to support her, restoring her morale and demonstrating a virtue of camaraderie Itsuki lacks despite his leadership position). 8:08, While Itsuki can represent the pressures of striving for success, the doubts obstructing a goal, 13:14 as Itsuki physically obstructs Hope (an admittedly unnecessary side note, I couldn’t help but reminded of Margot in Elden Ring telling the player to “Put these foolish ambitions to rest.” every time he beats them), it’s apparent he has his own doubts, seemingly in regards on wether he is worthy of inheriting his father’s position (and perhaps resenting his father’s methods in attempting to groom him for this role). However, 14:10, 14:52, its when he sees Hope outside the lens of academic background or Carmen’s bias towards her does he stop being Carmen’s proxy bully or his father’s perfect soldier of a son and start being genuine (even showing something resembling concern for her), if only for a moment before his barrier comes back. Only when he sees the root cause of Hope’s doubt and address it (perhaps seeing his own issues reflected in Hope and feeling sympathy for her, even if he doesn't consciously realize it) does he seem to make any meaningful progression in Hope, getting her to stop ignoring her doubts and finding a reason to attend the academy beyond allowing her deceased father to vicariously live his dream through her (a misguided goal seemingly formed from the idea her father gave up his dream to have a family and wanting to atone for it). Of course, this revelation alone is portrayed as only one part of this growth, as Hope’s friends are still the ones who help her renew her conviction after Itsuki forcing her to acknowledge her doubts left her utterly demoralized. Hope’s ability to make connections proves to be a genuine strength and directly contrasts Itsuki’s initial methods of attempting to motivate her through cruelty (methods that were inherently flawed as they were employed to make her quit rather than strive for success). 3:57, Professor Strong is somewhere in the middle of this, seeing his students as future “weapons”, 12:25 while also valuing their safety and morale. It’s Strong that gives Jazz the idea to help Hope, even while simultaneously not intervening to stop Itsuki from training her (though it remains to be seen if he is aware that Itsuki intended to bully Hope into quitting on Carmen’s behalf) since he sees their sessions as potentially beneficial in improving Hope’s poor performance. 12:37, Even if he views Hope’s struggles with Itsuki as necessary to prepare her for the dangers of her chosen profession, he also acknowledges that friendship (or in a more practical sense, having allies) is just as valuable in ensuring success.
I’m really emotionally invested in Hope, and it’s only the second episode of this lovely and passionate project you’ve created. I wish you and your crew Keep up the good work (but please don’t push yourselves too far!)
I'm not even gonna lie at ALL. this episode slaps SO HARD. like, hope is going through hell rn and I can't wait to see her rise as more episodes progress!! keep this show up btw i see amazing potential
Wow, you and the team have done it again. Didnt even think it would be possible to have this much of a step up from what was an already insanely impressive 1st episode, great work
That last training scene with Hope and Itsuki made me definitely think that Itsuki is actually only here because of his dad, that he doesn't actually truly want this for himself. I think maybe he's secretly a little miserable, and maybe he's not just training her because "she doesn't deserve" to be in the school or whatever, but maybe unconsciously he doesn't want her to end up like him. I doubt that Itsuki's going to quit the school or anything, but I think his and Hope's arcs will both mirror each other in that they'll find something in this school that they *personally* will latch onto and care about for themselves.
Goddamn the music is Phenomenal. Not something I picked up on as much with the first episode, but here the music is truly remarkable giving weight to the lines delivered. Backgrounds are also more dynamic, and the character animation is very fluid while still retaining that Anime feel. Very impressive and a great step up from the first episode which I already enjoyed. I give the second episode a 9/10, you should be very proud of the work you’ve accomplished.
I feel like the major difference between Hope and Reo is that Reo is training to become a Ranger to uphold his father and the family’s legacy, while Hope CHOSE to become one to honor her father. Both of them may have a parental figure that influenced their choice, but circumstances behind each shows that Hope does so out of love and desire while Reo does so out of duty and obligation. Even though Reo is right about Hope’s bad performance, the one thing he fails to account - because he could not see beyond Hope’s reason for becoming a Ranger - is that what drives Hope could potentially make her one of the best Ranger out there, and even surpass Reo. A person who is converted to an order is far more powerful than those who are born into it, since those only have familiarity. The converted, on the other hand, chose out of their own volition, because they became so convince of the cause, thus have a stronger faith and are willing to achieve higher. Hope could be heading toward that direction. Again, I do love a good underdog story! Oh, as for some of the jokes, I think the only one I enjoyed was Jazz and the teacher, because her not getting his metaphor is the most relatable thing I felt in this student-teacher relationship. The joke with the chapter 1 & 2 is definitely not for everyone. I thought it could’ve just played simply with her saying “Shit…”, and then we hear background noises of her freaking out and telling her friend to give her all the notes she’d written down.
Quite an interesting episode, rewatching it you can tell the foreshadowing that Hope's dream isn't actually her own and this theme of living out someone else's dream at the expence of your own desires is very underrated. I do like how it hasn't really concluded there and that she's just been given some support and reafirmation that the things she cares about aren't now all gone due to ehr decision to become a Ranger. Exploring Hope's reason to fight is definitely going to be interesting. Itsuki is without a doubt my favourite character and the flaws in his character and the decisions he makes are slowly showing and it's brilliant. Also incredibly impressed that you guys don't shy away from the anatomy of the characters, like these guys are meant to be rangers so a lot of them are gonna look absolutely shredded which makes the fighting scenes pop a little better with the muscle definition
Speaking of Itsuki, there seems to be a sense of insecurity over his own dreams and goals maybe not being his own, but made out of a duty to honor his own father, someone who seems to be a high ranking official in this space military organization. Now, is Ibuki’s rank really due to his own ability and resolve or just his father’s influence (a sort of Harry Osborn in Raimi’s Spider-Man scenario)? Is he becoming a Ranger out of duty and a desire to serve and protect humanity or in an attempt to earn his father’s respect (a sort of Prince Zuko scenario)? And is his hostility and condescension towards Hope a result of him projecting these subsequent insecurities and doubts onto her in an attempt to protect his own ego, his anger being a result of seeing the weakness he sees in himself in her, or is his cruelty and bullying truly born out of a desire to protect someone he’s only seen as hapless and indecisive from getting themselves and others of their allies harmed or killed during a dangerous situation?
The standard here is immense Maur!!! I feel like you’ve got so much unleashed here in this second episode!!!! Just the pure ambience of Griffins character gets me so emotional in this instalment!!!! The theme tune is pure🔥 Absolutely superb!!!!⭐️
I cannot express my surprise enough: Despite all difficulties of being very small group and incredible amount of work it requires to actually make a decision and realise own original idea - I could criticise this series for all objective things, but that would be unfair in comparison - most studios have dozens if not hundreds of animators and assistants, amount of artists can be more than the amount of people involved in this project. And yet here we have small group of people working on single vision, delivering it and visibly improving quality of their work from one episode to another. I am yet to see where the story will go, but if there is something that I would wish to you - is to succeed! I hope you will! And I am sure you will! It is incredibly hard to make animation and following your dream would be frustrating and dreadful experience so I wish that you will push through it. I want to see your vision realised from start to the end! I wish you to continue improving, finding more help, face new challenges and get through them! And no matter how hard things can be - I wish that you will achieve your goal!
Share wherever you can! The show's completely original so it doesn't have name recognition, so having it shared around is the main way it can get new viewers
Glad to see the show improving! Loved the first one but this one was even better 😄 keep up the good work Mauricio you inspire me! I’ll be watching and supporting all the way!
I haven't been this existed about a show since rwby first aired in other words my first "anime". Having high hopes, keep up the good work and I just know you'll make history!
Holy crap, I knew u had this series going on for a while, but I only just decided to check it out and I am BLOWN AWAY with the quality! This is so cool! Excited for episode 3 :)))
Alright, got done watching THIS episode now... this right here is truly the definition of your passion Mauricio! Animation was clean in my eyes, and everything else was AWSOME. And this story of Hope Griffen being a Ranger due to her father not making it... she really made it her very duty, for the love that she has towards her father, that she'd become a ranger herself to fulfill a dream that her father couldn't achieve. This truly does warm's my heart. Yet, that part indeed put myself within a space of thought. Even though you'd want to be a ranger becuase it was something that your father couldn't achieve... but is it truly the type of dream that belongs to you? Do you even like this at all. This episode was a nice thing to watch for my day to end. Trully will be anticipating for that number 3 with great intrest!
I can’t believe I missed the premier of episode 2!!! Dang it! By the way, you got some good voice actors for the children in the early part of the episode. It’s rare to find voice actors that are great at that.

I’m so incredibly proud to be a part of this project🥹
Thank u so much Nat!! You really ARE Jazz fr ❤️
Hell yeah
That intro bro...
Ridiculously MAGNIFICENT🔥🔥🔥
Wow this was an excellent and emotional episode. Can't wait to see where this goes!
The emotionally charged scenes were executed just right. Nice one 🙏
This show is absolutely amazing from what I’ve seen. As an up and coming writer myself I find the dialogue and the story to be somewhat inspiring. Can’t wait to see more episodes man.
Holy shit, the music, the characters, the art, this is all amazing.
- Mauricio
i’m so excited for this series to continue! i’ve been needing a new sci-fi series to watch after Final Space ended! thanks for filling that hole!
1:10 literally says "I can fix her" lol
Second episode and you can already feel the technical aspects improving. This anime is refreshing, I enjoyed the dialogues and the light-hearted jokes, but it feels like the whole universe is already revolving around Hope, like she's the only conversation topic in this episode for everyone or all the characters are defined by their relation to her, but I guess this is because the story just started and they will be fleshed out eventually. I hope she doesn't devolve into a Mary-Sue.
More, give us more, this series is perfect for what's going on in the world right now and it gives me, for lack of another word, hope for the world and for myself
Omfg this is unreasonably good, massive congratulations to everyone who worked on this episode, can’t wait to see what you do next!
I had a blast watching Hope's story progress. Can't wait for her to develop even further. Great work as always Mauricio.
Keep achieving your goals :)
dude that exchange between class rep and hope was phenomenal and packed with emotion!!!!! so forking cool you're doing this
no it wasnt
This is literally an inspiration to anyone who wants to put their projects out there. You're doing great mate. 👌👌👌
Gotta love casual villain foreshadowing, attack on titan style.
@@Browntable I really can't wait 😭😭 i wish i could animate on the same level as you guys
This is so freaking good, can't wait for episode 3!!!
These characters are actually so complex! I’m really impressed how much effort put into them. Even better than many professional animes! good job 👏
Shocked this doesn't have more views. The sparring looks real good - shows that you don't need a AAA budget to have good scene planning and flow. Really curious what's next for Hope
Wow, this project never fails to amaze and inspire me! Can’t wait for the next ep!
Will do! 😤
@@Browntable Whenever you get round to it man, don't overwork yourself, just know that ill certainly be there for ep 3, whenever that will be 😆
you earned my attention, my applause and my congratulations, I'm already waiting for the next episode
This really reminds me of how tower of god started out low budget but so full of life I can't wait for this to grow
Thanks so much, share wherever you can to help it do so! 🙏
So much to unpack even before the opening credits. Truly a masterclass in storytelling just in the first 2 minutes.
YOOO!! Great work again.
I'm so excited to see some of their first missions, and those space pirates? SOUNDS SICK FR
Thanks so much!
Amazing episode, the fight scene at the was well choreographed and it was more emotional then the first one.
Thanks so much!!
It's incredible how much the animation improved from episode 1 to episode 2. Way to go, Mauricio!
I'm not even gonna lie at ALL. this episode slaps SO HARD. like, hope is going through hell rn and I can't wait to see her rise as more episodes progress!! keep this show up btw i see amazing potential
Wow, you and the team have done it again. Didnt even think it would be possible to have this much of a step up from what was an already insanely impressive 1st episode, great work
That seriously means a lot, thank you so much!
Very rarely is the main YTber the best actor in their own wide scale production. Holy shit, bro, your voice acting is so good.
Okay. That opening slaps. On par with some of the greats!
Didn’t mention it before I do dig the Your Day theme song.
YES! I've been waiting for this! Such a promising series and always a treat to watch. Good job to all involved!!
Banger ass second half- legit moved me. Keep up the good work!
This is great! I love it! Please don't stop making IRC. I want you to know that those months you spend breaking your back will never be in vain. 🙏🏽
@@callmev3531 I think he's not just trying to kick her out either. I think he really does care and wants Hope to be better.
Some of the dialogue is really cringey but I can't help but respect how much effort was put into making this.
The amount of work put into this is amazing. You totally nailed it dude. I really hope you're proud of yourself. Pls keep it up ^^
These episodes need more views man
Share wherever you can! The show's completely original so it doesn't have name recognition, so having it shared around is the main way it can get new viewers
Dude you are a inspiration I love your writing dialog and animation please do not stop. Please don't sell your dream keep going.
Loved this episode even more! Hope it gains even more traction, this series deserves all the best! 💙
Thank you!
I watched this on my tv and oh my god this episode is such an unironic banger. (That and the music and intro which is just *chef's kiss*)
Glad to see the show improving! Loved the first one but this one was even better 😄 keep up the good work Mauricio you inspire me! I’ll be watching and supporting all the way!
Yep. I'm feeling inspired. Keep lighting the way bro
I haven't been this existed about a show since rwby first aired in other words my first "anime". Having high hopes, keep up the good work and I just know you'll make history!
Impressive lighting. Awesome music! Holy crap!
Wow. That was so much better than episode 1. I can't wait for episode 3.
I can’t believe I missed the premier of episode 2!!! Dang it! By the way, you got some good voice actors for the children in the early part of the episode. It’s rare to find voice actors that are great at that.
13:06 this whole sequence was great 👍
Just started the episode but already I feel the music is VERY underrated. It does a great job tugging at heartstrings early on.
There's so much talent on display here like seriously it's inspiring, keep it up man and be proud, this shit BANGS
YOOOOO THESE FIGHT SCENES ARE SOOOOO GODLIKE 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks so much!! A lot of time was spent on them 😭🙏
YEAH BABYYYYYY IT'S BACKKKK
LESGOOOOOOOO
It is vital we give Browntable company facilities and resources, as well as complete creative freedom, immediately.
Really great episode, was surprised by the fast pacing (I loved it), looking forward to the next ones
Really love the animation and the body anatomy here
Just got back from the late shift and finished the episode. Gotta say I wasn't disappointed.
Beautiful shading and framing😍
Mauricio You're the madman this is such a well-crafted work
17:27 Okay wait a minute...Just give me a second...THOSE ARE HIGHSCHOOL GRADUATES?!?!🤣🤣🤣 OKAY SURE
Good episode so many ways this story could make these first few episodes hit different one second watch
In this episode things were said that shouldn't have been said and now we're left with more questions than answers. Great episode and rio's girlfriend is a jerk
