Even if Tesla does not come to India, some others may come. Till then Indian EV companies have more time to grow. Indians can't buy expensive EV cars, but they can buy EV two wheelers very easily. The Indian government should focus more on two wheelers manufacturing plants in India.

We have large reserves of lithium and can make our own batteries + we are also setting foot into the semiconductor industry which makes us self sufficient for a good quality EV. Secondly, better than EV is a hydrogen powered vehicle, that is going to be the future and Modi ji knows it

It was a policy change that was needed because there are more players than Tesla and BYD. Mercedes is building EQS in India and Hyundai is wanting too. But really India does not need EV, it need more solar energy and build out of infra for later EV. Anyways it always good to let tech mature because even in US EV is not selling well

Indian Automobile 🚘 sector must get as much support as much possible. India 🇮🇳 should also establish Lithium plant for the batteries. Tata , Mahindra, Bajaj, Hero , TVS must be given as much support from government as possible. Chinese electric vehicle and Tesla should not be allowed in India at any cost .
