- Hey guys! Today is a full face testing Covergirl Makeup! I wanted to try out drugstore items that are relatively affordable, so I went to walgreens and picked up a bunch of Covergirl items and put them to the test for you to see how I feel!

Okay, I’m so happy to actually see a “full face of...” that is ACTUALLY a full face. I get so annoyed when influencers make a video and go “well I don’t have everything but oh well” I appreciate her going out and making sure she really did have everything to create a full face and then even thinking “oh shit what about the brushes?” Very thorough and I love it. 💕

Her "full face of Glossier" or whatever it was called super annoyed me for that reason. She took off the tint iirc and put on a different foundation. But I understand, if I was taking a video and I thought something looked awful on me, there's no way I would be able to keep it on!

Love this! The week my father passed away I had to go to the state he lived in so I spent the whole week trapped in a hotel room. I decided I wanted to learn to use eyeshadow. I found Kristi and I never looked back =)

This is what I miss about TH-cam, I miss when people bought their own products and you could actually believe them on the review they give on the items. It gets really hard to Believe anybody anymore because they get so much free stuff and you don’t know if they are collaborating or sponsored. When I first started watching TH-cam nobody got product sent to them they all bought their own shit and they used a variety of items so it made me feel more comfortable in my purchases. I’d love to see you do more of these videos even though I know you probably get a shit ton of stuff sent to you.

Its unfair to imply that TH-camrs who receive PR or use affiliate links, can’t be completely honest. There quite a few of TH-camrs, like Kristi, who have managed to stay honest and trust worthy even through the mountains of free packages. Yes, we do, but its not as plentiful as say Cover Girl but it is drug store here in the states.
Plus Essence and Catrice are cruelty free as well, with some vegan products :)
If you try any products from Essence soon, I would recommend the metal shock eye shadows :)
It’s very limited. I remember they used to have a few items in Target and they also carry it at Ulta too. I find it hit or miss, but very reasonably priced. Not bad at all.

You would think after Cover Girl went through this whole transformation of changing their logo, changing their packaging, going cruelty free, etc.. they would change the old school packaging of their eyeshadows! I HATE those skinny ass long lines of shadow! It’s like, get with it! Times are changing, especially in this community!
Changing packaging and making the pans larger adds cost to the product, which could in turn drives up the price to the consumer. Also, you're probably not going to use up a whole eyeshadow palette from any brand, no matter the price, before it expires.
Emily Leindecker changing the pan shape does not mean making it larger... if you would keep the same volume but make it a square pan for example, the pans would be wider and also look more current
recordtapesbackward I never said anything about the pans not being big enough, it’s just frustrating the way they are set up in long rectangles like that. Whenever I run my brush thru a shade, the brush always touches the other shades on each side, and I hate when the colors mix like that
Emily Leindecker Didn’t day anything about making the pans larger. I just don’t like the long rectangle shape that the pallet is in because whenever I dip my brush into a shade, my brush will touch the other shades on each side. Then I’ve got three different shades on my brush! I just wanted them to change the layout of the pans

Wanted to say, when you said "I feel so beauty in this" it made me tear up, that's what make up is supposed to be. Just make you feel good about you're natural features and being an artist, not a drama filled mess of "she's fake" or all the negativity. So happy you feel good, because you look gorgeous and are proving you don't have to spend lots of money to get well performing products.

This is honestly the prettiest makeup look you’ve done. You look glowy and natural. So pretty!
First, just want to say I love you so much and I love that you're uploading more.
Second, I will never get over how drugstore lashes look on beauty guru channels. It completely astounds me. Demi wispies look like literal nothing on TH-cam. I wear those faux mink ardell lashes and the normal wispies and they look so long on me and other ppl I know. So insane how minimal they look on camera. I was shocked when you came back with the lashes on. Anyone else?
Also, I bought Mochalicious this past weekend. Have yet to crack her open yet but man do I have high hopes lol.
Yes girl! I agree, they always look so natural on camera and not interesting at all, yet when I wear them, they are lovely, full and long.
Maybe it’s because we are so used to seeing beauty gurus wearing much larger and spikier lashes 🤷🏻♀️

@@jazray5306 I think you're right. It's just translates so different on camera than in real life. Kristi looked SO gorgeous at the end of the video tho and I enjoyed the less dramatic lash.
B May yeeeees when I tried demi wispies for the first time I was like “uh these are so dramatic as huge on me”, when on influencers they look somewhat subtle and beautiful. Very different!
That highlighter really melted into the skin beautifully. I’m living for this look.

I’m sorry but these lashes are BEAUTIFUL with these eyes !! I love long wispy lashes too but i feel like sometimes they take away from the look. And these lashes let your eyes and face really be the focal point. I think they would look very pretty with a minimal eye makeup, like u mentioned, but this is just 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

mommymode1985 it’s so good but they need dark and lighter shades. The lightest shade is too dark for me so I have to mix in another foundation but I love the finish of it and it covers good for drugstore! Deff a favorite
I bought the lightest shade and it looked good except it went SOOOO orange on me :(

I just need to mention that Cover Girl is NOT the first drugstore brand to go cruelty free.
I went vegan almost exactly 8 years ago. I can definitely say without any doubt that Wet N Wild went cruelty free, then completely vegan, first.
I am so grateful and encouraged that Cover Girl is going this route. But I truly believe they are doing so because of the precedent that was set by Wet N Wild.
Again, you are a goddess of the universe that cannot be touched by the hands of humans, only by the hooves of unicorns and the feathers of phoenix wings.
But Cover Girl is responding to Wet N Wild with the cruelty free situation (which is a positive and wonderful thing). Wet N Wild initiated cruelty free awhile ago and went the 100% vegan route more recently, and THAT is the drugstore brand that initiated the change that was needed.
Jenn Righter I don’t disagree with you- however I have been curious about CG going cruelty free since California passed a law that soon will only allow sale of cruelty free products in the state/ CA sets a precedence that companies respond to. Also, I love kristi 😝

I think she meant that Cover Girl made history for being the largest drugstore cruelty free brand. (Now if their parent company Coty goes cf then OMG!) But, I didn't know that Wet N Wild was first. Thanks for sharing that. I know about Pacifica and Physician's Formula too. I'm still pretty new to cruelty free. But I've been vegetarian for a decade and I'm going to try to go vegan myself. :)
I mean, regardless of WHY they're doing it. Lets just be happy that they are! All makeup brands should follow suit and its starting to happen.
Since kristi doesn’t like the lashes, I know I will like the lashes. She wears hers super dramatic and long. That’s not my thing, so maybe I could work with those.

I love these full face of drugstore brand videos! I feel like a majority of folks watching these types of videos can’t afford Hourglass, Pat McGrath, or sometimes even Tarte. So it’s nice to be able to know we can purchase good quality makeup and feel beautiful without having to worry if we can afford groceries for our families. Good job, Kristi. I thought I was going to hate it at first because it kicks up quite a bit of powder but it looks sooooo wet and dewy on the skin! 😍 Also their Melting Pout Glitz Liquid Glitter top coat gloss in Golden Girl makes your lips look sooooo shinny and it’s super moisturizing*

Right now I use their Lash Blast Flourish mascara and I love it! It gives me really pretty, fluttery lashes. I definitely recommend checking that mascara out!

Their brow pencil and highlighter palette are HGs for me. So happy they went cruelty free. We should all support them as we can so other companies will see the benefit to it.

I’d love it if you did a full face of elf including brushes! I love all of your recommendations, I tried the covergirl healthy elixir foundation and adored it. The only issue I find with the foundation is that it looks incredibly pink on me and I can’t find a shade with warm undertones.
