If this game was the same price as palworld or cheaper we probably wouldn’t give it shit tbh. Charging full price or higher for this is just straight robbery
Unfortunately 60$ isn't full price anymore across the board, so some companies try to push the envelope and it just comes across as greedy. Still, this game should've been 35/40$.
Since the game is 2v2, the highest i’d go is 30$ since if one player wants to the game, they are likely going to want to convince at least one other person to get it so then charging 60$ when they know their game has been criticized a lot feels incredibly counter productive.
It’s sad that such a great anime like jujutsu kaisen got screwed out of having a better first game, it deserves a lot better. Some of the supers look alright and I can see how some people like the gameplay, but overall I found it underwhelming. The gameplay and presentation of games like Naruto ultimate ninja storm just feel better to me
@@yosos2 the gameplay does have its moments but really I’d just rather play Naruto storm or hinokami chronicles. The gameplay in those games flows so much better and the presentation is also much better
The fact that no one is acknowledging that on the ps5 and 4 rank doesn’t even work so u pretty much have to play with AI or find randoms to get a lobby to actually work
I appreciate this very reasonable and straight forward review. Everything you stated sounds fair and I am glad you list pros and cons instead of just hyping the game or bashing it in a non-constructive way. Overall a great video. 🙏🔥
I still absolutely love this game, the combat feels pretty good, other than the crappy ranged targeting and a few other things, but other than that I love this game so damn much.
@@simsansong sweet to hear man, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Thanks for sharing your experience with it. Sidenote: at the end of the day, all that matters is that you enjoy it, cause what people consider fun is subjective. Just cause there's people who don't enjoy it, doesn't mean that some others aren't allowed to enjoy/have fun playing it. Enjoy what you enjoy, and let others have their opinions as we all are entitled to our own perspectives. 🙏
@@simsansong fair enough homie, I'm just glad it was a fair and informative video showing all the game offers, good or bad. Just keep doing you and stay cool. Hope you continue to enjoy the game. I'll find out for myself soon enough.

I play a wide variety of games and I was someone who enjoyed multiversus, and really wanted another 2v2 focused fighter to kinda fill that gap for me. I was excited to see jjk could be that and I was a lil cautious of the speed and floatiness but after playing it, honestly I love it so far. Once you get use to the systems and characters and start thinking about how to use the tools they give you that’s where it really opens up and traps you in its gameplay loop. When I’m playing the game it doesn’t feel slow and feels like you’re always watching and making decisions and deciding what’s the best course of action. Presentation and things are lacking yes but the potential is absolutely there and I hope they expand on it either through dlc and updates or a full blown sequel with more money which did happen for the my hero fighting game. Just don’t blindly hate the game is all I ask, if it ain’t for you then fine but this is a style of anime arena fighter and I think they got something here.
Well said! I found myself engaged and emerged in the game style. It is different and a learning curve to understand all the mechanics but once you do, it is a lot of fun. I’ve had a blast the last two days. There are things that could be better but I’d rate it a Solid C. I wasn’t expecting the best but it does deliver a fun game that could thrives if supported properly from the developers AND the community
If you're really into the 2v2 aspect, the Gundam Ex Vs series has that and the gameplay is deep enough that people play it competitively Though sadly, its not very popular in the west due to the most recent games being arcade exclusives in Japan
i had to refund the game man, the game was just too simple. maybe i refunded too early before i got to fully learn the game but granblue was way more worth the same price, i couldn't justify keeping jjk. we deserve better!! the game is so rushed and it feels like it too, maybe in the future if it gets better i won't mind buying it again but as of rn it'd have for go on sale for $20. also congratulations on becoming a dad, glob!!!
@@gamerforlife3946the difference is the budget the companies have for this tho, it’s literally only dragon ball and naruto plus maybe one piece that are given the budget for games to make them with all brand new animated cutscenes
@@gamerforlife3946 The Storm series and the Budokai Tenkaichi games are probably the most popular and most respected anime games of all time, and their story is just the story of the anime. What are you talking about?
People hate cyber connect 2 for a lot of reasons, some valid but they do make some of the best anime games quality wise. Even if people hate the “storm formula” it is one of the most polished styles of anime gaming these days
The gameplay is how it got 7 installments. People like to call Arena Fighters a "Storm Clone" when the only legal Storm Clone is Demon Slayer which is also one of the best Arena Fighters GAMEPLAY wise.
You know, being the "anime videogame guy" on youtube i always click on your reviews expecting some sort of favourable bias towards these games, and everytime you manage to remind me that this isn't really the case, you're always on point and critical as you should be, congrats on another amazing review Dadku!
I'm really sad that the last two attempts we had at final fantasy dissidia games where bad (i'm counting jjk and NT) It makes me feel very sad cause the gameplay style is really cool and very single player friendly. Problem is, Jujutsu deserve a more unique game, like the ones DB is getting. A horror based jujutsu kaisen rpg would be awesome but alas. I'm hope this is not the last jujutsu game we see on consoles.
I had low expectations from this game, but I found myself really enjoying the game and the only issue I have is the price. This is not a 60 dollar game but I do reccomend it. Its suprisingly fun.
@@suscrow661I actually noticed the other day that people were using prices that are either for higher editions of the game or just totally wrong prices to strengthen their argument that the game is absolute trash. Which to me makes no sense it’s a fun game but if you don’t think it’s worth $60 that’s fair and valid but don’t go lying about the price to make your point stronger
@@iron1332 There are also people who think America is the only nation on the planet, dismissing their base price (Australia $90) just because they don't live in America.
The way this games pvp is kinda set up is sorta relatable to Gundam Extreme vs. Theyre two completely different game but the team combat in the way you try to win is very similar. Id love to try this game once it goes on sale.
shocked you didn't mention the price, like - I VERY nearly bought it. I was going to, until today. I... nobody, not even someone as invested in JJK as me, can justify spending fifty pounds on this.
I loved Dissidia, loved J Stars, and loved One's Justice 2 so I genuinely feel fine with this game. The only things I dislike is the story mode, no subtitles and I kinda wish the Kyoto students made it in the game. I know Mai has nothing to go off of considering she can only create one bullet a day but even Momo could've had basic generic wind attacks and maybe a one or two melee attacks with her broom . Other than that and the lack of costume variety I'm okay with this game.
I think if the game has less endlags or cancels like Extreme VS Force, it will going to be a game changer. I really just hope they throw an Update with Dodge Cancelling (Stamina) and faster end recoveries. One of the exact reason why I dropped JStars. You're seeing Anime Fights where they are moving fast, that's what Anime Fans wanted to feel when playing games, to move fast. It doesn't matter if you're missing attacks over and over if the gameplay is fast, that's the literal fun part, it's infuriating if you're missing attacks in this kind of a slow pace.
JJK deserved sooooo soooo much better especially with it ending this year…. A safe bet would’ve been make a RPG type game like One Piece Odessy that lets us play some stories for other characters like why was Yuta in Africa dancing up a storm (IYKYK) Geto assembling his first team, Gojo training his first years and other missions, give us more Itadori Megumi and Nobara content since they didn’t really get much time to develop their friendship and what not Or just do Dragon ball FighterZ the art style of Kaisen and vibe would’ve been so amazing to see in that type of fighting game
This game is very barebones, right now. It has a LOT of potential, and with a few good and productive updates, the game could actually turn in to something pretty great.
its shocking how low the standards are for anime fighters, 16 playable characters with different move sets isn't impressive, its pretty bad as far as fighters go but of course because its an anime fighter we just gotta clap and hand over $60
I honestly find the slower, heavier pace and feeling of the moves a refreshing style compared to all other fighting games, and its kinda necessary for the 2v2 to work, so I don't see that as a huge downside.
I'd say wait for a sale like 15 bucks, it's really not worth the 30. 30 bucks can get you Palword(An EASY 40 hour game with no breaks) or One Piece Odyssey(I heard solid 40 hours with some monotony). Your money is your money sure, but I just wanted to give you some perspective too to help you save.
Tbh i find byking great at portraying characters abilities close to the anime but i find they lack in graphics and the ulitmates always look like they are missing something . Maybe its because cc2 spoiled us with anime ulitmates all these years .
I really enjoy this game, and this is coming from a single player. I don't have a friend to play with, and still, the gameplay just feels so satisfying. I love the uniqueness, and I think the combat is great. Yes, I agree the game has its flaws. But knowing Byking, I trust that the ones that can be fixed without reworking the entire game, will be fixed. I do understand some of the criticism for the game, but a lot of what *I* see at least, just boils down to "I hate arena fighters so this game bad". People wanted something unique, and this is pretty unique... To be fair, though, one of my favorite fighting games is Your Only Move Is Hustle, so I haven't played, nor want to play, the more traditional fighting games because of how accustomed to YOMI I am.
Some objective critical from overall reviews: ugly characters models (even JJK chars from Fortnite collab looks more better) , poor animation , wooden control and very weak visual ability effect
@@josephlove3433 idk what you’re on about lmfao, I’m enjoying the game on ps5. I was gonna offer to play with this mans. You’re pressed on the wrong things 💀
@@KanekiAtOtaku I am playing in this game too because I spent for it 60$ in first day and ps5 you can’t do any refunds )) But it’s fact that is looks like students project from university on Unity
I feel like the big mistake here was making this a 2v2 game with no local multiplayer. Anime arena fighters are at their best when you and your friend just watched the anime and want to button mash a bit on the couch with your favorite characters. But this game FORCES the online aspect, which sucks, you cant play versus your friend unless you have 3 friends who all want to play, and in that case you'd have to buy this full priced game multiple times and still cant have the couch experience. The actual game looks like it had some great ideas for how to translate the anime's magic system into a fighter, but that 2v2 gimmic idea killed it. I absolutely loved my hero ones justice 2, and I was really hoping that this would be that, but with JJK characters since it was the same developer :(
It does, it really really does, but I'd still recommend trying it within the span of under two hours, just to make sure you can refund it if you don't like the style of movement. Fast but methodical is a good way to put it, there's a certain float to the verticality and attacks lock you in a little bit but are also fast. Leads to you looking for perfect opportunities and pulling off some wild shit. Juggling people with your ally, kicking them through a tree or ceiling, and smacking them into a wall or building somewhere. Shit, getting beat up feels great in this game to me even, but I'll definitely say that as good as it feels to me, some people might not feel that way. The interplay of character's abilities is also fantastic. Please do try it out within the refund period if you can. I'd love to spar sometime if you get into it.
I feel the same way about jjk as I do shinobi strikers, lackluster on release and not worth 60-100 depending on which version you buy. but has better potential after updates & dlc. Better to get the game on sale when/if it progress further
People are hating but tbh I’m having alot of fun playing, only problems I’ve had with the game so far is server issues and also the fact that sukuna has super armor on almost every move, which is leading to drooling six year olds who use the same move over and over getting to higher ranks
As someone who has played the entire story, I can say that it’s currently not as good the graphics are decent and the gameplay could improve but overall it’s ok but I’ll give the developer the benefit of the doubt since its only been out for about 2 days, all I’m saying is that it can improve
I swear ppl who are complaining abt combos have never played J-Stars victory vs before it’s all about timing and catching frames yall takes time to learn 🤷🏼♂️
I love Globku because he's one of the only TH-camrs I've seen consistently talk about arena fighters. As a society, we don't talk about the community of people who find arena fighters to be fun, and JJK Cursed Clash perfectly shows us why. There is a big group of people who genuinely enjoy the game and everyone else seems to be criticizing it. A lot of people are just throwing out opinions without even playing it, and it is honestly ruining the opportunity for that group of people who genuinely enjoy the game to have another game like this. There are mixed reviews because it's simple - either you like it or you don't. I understand most JJK fans are bandwagons with no real motivation to formulate an opinion on their own, so they probably don't understand why they even enjoy the show in the first place, making it damn near impossible for them to enjoy a game with floaty mechanics. But what they don't understand is that there are really people in this life who would rather play that floaty-ass game instead of Fortnite, or Rocket League, or R6. People don't understand that not everything is for them, and if you don't like the game, then why the fuck do you have anything to say about it? Some people genuinely don't believe they attribute to malice or hate, then see a game they don't like and instantly have something to say, curious why they don't like themselves. A massive community has been looking all over for games like this, and maybe Dissidia (or however you spell it) wasn't up their alley, or they don't have access to J-Stars. What we need to understand is if you don't like something, then the best course of action (9/10) is to not give it your attention. You're just fucking it up for everyone who might or probably does like it.
Consiering the price I don't think this game is worth it, you just don't have a good experience with the game unless you're playing with a friend, with no way to play local the friend needs to buy the full game also, and even then it seems to get boring real fast. Also zoners seem to be a problem with the ranked matches.
Naruto Storm Connections failed us, and now Jujustu Kaisen Cursed Clash failed us as well. These great animes deserve WAY BETTER respect than this! Clearly these games are just cash grab for the fans. And not made my people who love the series. Or fans. Dragonball Sparking Zero is our only and last hope. If that fails too, we're going to hell.
I personally enjoy the game. Obviously it's not perfect and they absolutely butchered the rendering of my boy todo but I really enjoy the core combat experience
They made a creative decision a purposefully made this Game this way. All of these decisions were Intentional, I just think they didn’t understand their audience. This style is very niche and they committed too hard
@@O.H306this game was so close to cooking, then they made it too floaty, and the ultimate animations veerrrrry slow and not impactful most of the time. This feels like early access, to be replaced ultimates. One of the hardest dual ults in canon, Todo and Yuji, felt like I was watching keyframes and not a whole shot. And Yuji's regular ult feels so... weak? Like no impact. and those are jsut the ones I've noticed. I think the only character who feels finished animation wise is Nobara.
@@StrawHatCentral Considering the game is sitting at 50% at steam, there is obviously a problem with it. No one likes this floaty nonsense Byking is known for.
Just rq wanna point this out, idk why but these videos make the game look a lot smoother in these ytrs videos. Just remember it’s not like this idk why there’s is smooth but I’ve yet to have a smooth online game in ranked I have good connection good ping everything and it’s never smooth, it stutters a lot it freezes mid combo etc, I enjoy it but I wish I knew how to fix it
No local multiplayer kills it for me. I normally play arena fighters with friends who come over because they tend to be fun button smashers and easy to pick up. I was gonna by the game till I found out… well saved me some monies
I love this game! I don’t get the hate for the game too. First it was hate because it was an “unoriginal arena fighter” and know it’s being hated for doing something different. Sure it’s buggy at launch but that’s the point of updates. What’s the problem with floaty to, don’t you want to do air combos. Me and my friends set up a lobby with 2 in a team and 1 with a bot because we’re 3 people, we had a blast and the bot was basically kicking our butts if we put it on hard mode. I love this game and I hope more people will love it too
I actually agree with pretty much everything you said. I think it’s important to have an opinion but I always wonder if someone like Glob didn’t say oh this game is too floaty and other things. Do we think most people would be saying it? Definitely not as much I can guarantee that. It comes down to hive mind. Like yea this game is not what it should be but I still have a ton of fun so far and I’m playing alone
@@aj3706I never said I don’t. I also loads of fun just doing random online matches. I’m sorry that this game wasn’t your storm connections copy or it wasn’t ones justice 2, but it still is fun with or without a friend. You just gotta open your eyes to different things
You're really good at breaking down games in a non-negative light. This game has a huge amount of seeable issues in the form of experimental design and just some misses on the decisions made with it but if I had pre-ordered it your review would make me feel a lot better about the product I got.
Honestly, looking at this game makes me think “CyberConnect2 would’ve done better.” From the combat to the visuals and presentation, I feel they would’ve knocked it out of the park. I know people don’t like Storm’s character gameplay, but I always love playing Storm 4. I just enjoy that combat scheme, and a bit of a downer this game isn’t 3v3. Even though I didn’t enjoy Hinokami Chronicles as much as Storm, the sort of style would have been perfect for JJK. Each character being unique with different combos. It’s even 2v2 which would have been perfect. Then, CC2 graphics and cutscenes are still incredible, with the models, music, and the story mode. Kinda sucks to see Jujutsu Kaisen’s first game have such as mixed reception.
I find this comment interesting because you liked storm which has the least amount of uniqueness across characters, unlike hinokami chronicles which has more uniqueness across characters, and dislike this game and wish it was more like storm..which has the least unique characters among the games you’re talking about. Very Interesting. Sounds like you really wanted more flash but less substance.
@@Uzustar Not necessarily, I actually enjoyed the fact that each character in HC was unique. I just took issues with certain things the game did. For one example, I dislike how the did the ultimates. Being unable to use your ultimate freely unless you went into burst mode was lame. Even then, you only could use your ultimate once. If you missed, then you wouldn’t get to use it for the rest of the bar, which I found dumb. I get I could be to maybe prevent ultimate spam, but I felt it was too restrictive. Either allow you to use it freely, or keep the only used in burst idea, but be able have multiple attempts instead of just one and have it take burst meter. There are other issues, but those are just my opinions.
I think the gameplay is solid I personally would've wanted a 1v1 fighting style. Also the animations and floaty movement is off putting to me personally and the animations feel rushed.
Adore this game, a lot. I hope the backlash it's getting fades enough for it to last a while. It's disheartening to see so many who haven't played it assuming just HOW bad it must be. I understand that for the price, and especially for what is effectively a multiplayer only game, $60 was too much, but it's important to note the developers don't have a say in the price. What they made, mechanically, is fantastic, and I hope that more people get to see what we playing it see already.
You can't be mad at people for not wanting pay 60$ to test the game out. That's literally how everything goes, based off of trailers and gameplay you judge wether you want to spend your money or not. I don't buy a game to test it out I buy it because I want to play based off of the stuff iv'e seen. I think the game could be fun and Iv'e never played it but, it doesn't look great and I don't think its worth the 60$ so I wouldn't buy it.🤷♂
I was so excited when this was announced, but then I saw Byking...I very much didn't like one's justice and this is the same. I'm glad I avoided this one.
Honestly, I enjoy this game play. It's the same as the Final Fantasy Dissidia games. I just don't think it fits JJK. Since martial arts and hand to hand fighting is a big part of the show. A more combo focused fighting game would have fit better.
Personally I'd recomend everyone who Brough the game who aren't hypnotised by the IP to gain refunds. Domain expansions aka awakening moves are nearly impossible to pull off. With only the ones that grab enemies or hot enemies from afar being affavtive. There's no super armour when trying these and the activation animation takes so long that anyone can beat you out of being able to use it. Some inputs won't even be acknowlaged by the game. This I Clyde's when having to pull down the left and right triggers to activate an awakening move as it'll only acknowlaged the right trigger input which forces a CT which uses CE which will me a you'll have to attack players again to regain the awakening opitunity. I put can be so bad that simply present A to go to the next cutscenes will not be acknowlaged Most combos are negated not cause of the rival player but because the frame rate drops in the middle of a combo. Bandai never treated one piece right gaming wise, gave mha the bare minimum, screwed over naruto. Screwed what could of been their cash cow for most of the year. And somehow in some way we're suppose to believe dbsz is gonna be sucsessful because it's dragon ball? Bandai dosnt care about anime games. They don't put as much love into them anymore as they do with tekken or the souls like games they make they buy the rights to anime ips by throwing tons of cash at the author and then proceed to make them cash grabs. At this point. I might just only buy anime games that hopfully in the future are mad eby other companies like Sega.
just to clear something up, Bandai puts no love into the souls or tekken games, they just put money. Those games you mentioned? That's them trying to make games. They suck at it.
@@mastersonic707 Exactly! Bandai doesn't make Tekken or the Souls games, they're just the producers(people who fund the developers and handle getting it on different platforms), so by default they put no love into them
To be fair most one piece games are good, I love pirate warriors 4, and I really like world seeker, haven't played odyssey yet though but it looks like a confy game and it looks exactly like dragon quest XI a game I absolutely adore
Has anyone else had trouble playing the game online? Every time I try to play ranked or unranked i get” a network error has occurred”. I’ve checked my Wi-Fi and PS five and all good, this is the only game it seems to do it on. I’ve only played like six matches maybe online because of it. I’ve looked in the settings to try to find my region but no luck. Any ideas?
You can play with your friend. Got to go to the online lobby and invite them. Make sure you choose exhibition match or ranked 2v2. However, good luck on playing with these trash servers.
@@ATH-camUser1 "bringing your friend online with you on same console" only on two different consoles, not what the guy was saying, which was on one console.
Even though you gave it a D this review has me considering giving it a second try. I'm a fan of basically all the other anime area fighters and usually I'll play through the story then do some local fights with friends. I've played through the 2nd chapter and fighting 2 opponents with limited damaging attacks has frustrated me. Especially the 2 fights Maki vs Megumi and Nobara also the Nobara vs Panda and Toge. I literally turned my xbox off after those. Like I said I'll give it another try so I don't just throw away $60, but as someone who usually plays through the story (Which has been frustrating) and plays local with friends (which you can't) I'm wishing I would've skipped this one.
Just bought this game the deluxe version and I wish I saw this before hand. I’m kinda upset they had so much potential like an open world/map where you explore and multiple people to fight kinda like dragon ball Z…I hope it’s worth it. I got the game on sale and unfortunately chose it over sword art online recollection which is my favorite anime
The ideas were definitely there, but the execution was like half there. If the game ever gets a sequel (prolly won’t seeing how many people refunded this one) and the producers actually lock in, it has mad potential.
1. No original story, no unique cutscenes (except for the end and it looks mid asf). 2. Graphics and animations are worse than in a mobile game (Example the new OPM mobile game, which has unique cutscenes and actual good ult animations). Todo's ult is just a kick. 3. Combat feels extremely clunky and not fun. Most characters are as unbalanced as possible. 4. The price for this joke of a game is INSANE. 5. This mobile game isnt even on mobile 😅😅 Overall, not worth anyone's time.
It's kind of a weird premise to go with when the whole thing is they need to team up constantly in the show to even out the power dynamics of all the op technique people have.. and some of these matches would be lost just because of technique versus technique versus being able to punch or kick it's kind of a weird game
Aye im happy for those who enjoy the game but the ones that hate on people for not liking especially when they give fair critique and aren't just saying ignorant shit, y'all aren't any better than the people y'all hating on lol. If you play it and like it that's fine but you can't say it's overhated or people are riding a hate train cause at the end of the day those are their opinions and many of them are based around things that can very well be seen as issues. The game isn't just so objectively amazing that you can tell others theyre wrong for not liking it. Have a good day, enjoy what you play, and don't be a dick over video games and anime👌🏿
It's pretty disappointing combos are almost non-existent in this game when My Hero One's Justice 2, made by the same developers, has easily the most satisfying combo game in any anime arena fighter
I agree that I wish there was more combo potential but I could tell it just wasn’t what they were going for here as disappointing as that may be. I feel for a first dive into this type of game it’s pretty good and enjoyable for what it is and I think improvements could for sure be made for a sequel.
We had Hidden Inventory with Toji vs Gojo & Geto. Shibuya Incident with Yuji vs Choso & Mahito, Gojo flexing, Toji vs Dagon, Sukuna vs Jogo & Mahoraga. JJK fans ate during season 2. It would’ve been PERFECT to follow up with a 🔥 game. Smh I wish I could just forget this game existed but it’s such a damn disappointment.
I know it sounds crazy but i always kinda wished that most anime games are like naruto ultimate ninja storm series... like imagine jjk but with stoem 4 mechanics? dope..... one piece with storm 4 mechanics? dope etc.. like i know a lot of people hate storm 4 combat but i think it's peak for anime games.
It’s pretty fun coming from a guy who plays it alone. I’m also a huge jjk manga fan so being able to set up and play some of the iconic 2v1s with max cursed meter is actually pretty satisfying. Yall sleep on free battle mode
@@eddylopez6556 I genuinely enjoy it so why does it matter to you? You’ve probably spent money on games I wouldn’t even touch (naruto storm). Doesn’t make it a waste, just preference
I honestly hate the stages and defense in this game, the dash doesn't even come out sometimes so trying to bait anything is a huge issue and the side step is the worst thing you could do in this game and it's supposed to be a punish. I wish the combo system was better or at least gave an explanation on how it works
So this is another typical anime arena fighter with the usual mediocre gameplay modes, whatever challenges there are for the tryhards and a limited roster at the start with "DLC" characters later being added. Huge pass for me. Thanks for reviewing this. Getting tired of the same dull thing with these anime arena fighters which is why I favor some of the Naruto Storm games as well as MHOJ2 over this crap. Dragonball Xenoverse 2 is my all time favorite anime arena fighter. One of the best ones ever made imo only. $60 for this nonsense...
My honest first impressions. I think the game is decent with enjoyable multiplayer which might be a given when your with friends. I actually purchased the game before watching the anime this time around. I learned a decent bit of the shows story and I am enticed to want to watch the anime itself now. The cutscenes where they try are actually good but I agree with Globku if they had put that same effort throughout the full game it’d be a much different story.
Arcsystemworks, another Franchise needs your help. Seriously though, i dont get why we only have Dragonball FighterZ and not any other Anime License game from them.
From what I know Guilty Gear and FighterZ (the games that solidified their amazing art style and animation techniques) took a WHILE to make and get right since they have to distort, mangle and even completely break the character models while making sure the spacial used Shaders don't bug or break up on the models. This is also why FighterZ gets the complain for its character models sometimes since they went with more sharp elbows and other features. This is just the visual side from all I know but Arc seams to be going the "Comes around once every couple of years but makes the game visually, mechanically and structurely polished route to development. (I much prefer that then putting games out every year like call of duty and also because the developers actually get time to do work they are satisfied with).
I didnt love one's justice, but i feel like it at least looked and played better than this. As much as i understand some of the decisions, like floaty gameplay, long knockdowns, and all attacks outside of specific "cursed technique" ones doing no damage, i dont think it makes the game any more fun. It most certainly doesn't feel like the fast-paced high-energy JJK fighting game that i feel many people were hoping for With a 2v2 focus, I feel like a more combo-heavy game makes a lot more sense than the exact opposite, and that is one of the most disappointing things to me. Lastly, as much as people say "ohh everyone just dislikes the game cuz visuals bad," it doesnt make it less justified on the player side. The only reason its such a sore spot is BECAUSE players know anime fighting games can look so much better than this, even without crazy amazing effects like the Naruto storm games have nailed, the animations could have been WAYY smoother and done more justice to the anime. Granted, some super moves/ultimates do look pretty cool, but the rest of the game being such a stark contrast in quality doesn't feel good for the player.
Bruh all they need to do is add curses you kill for levels that gradually increases health and damage, then make it so when you fight a player the 3 CE bars are a cursed technique domain expansion and then black flash which gives you a permanent buff, could of been a sick game but it missed the mark, imagine end game a special grade cursed pops up and you have to pvp and pve
@@Jaknife101if it was £25 I most likely would’ve tried it
Since the game is 2v2, the highest i’d go is 30$ since if one player wants to the game, they are likely going to want to convince at least one other person to get it so then charging 60$ when they know their game has been criticized a lot feels incredibly counter productive.
No, it would still be terrible even if it was free.
Thats how every brand new game comes with a full price. Either way you need to decide based on gameplay or trailers

Or just do Dragon ball FighterZ the art style of Kaisen and vibe would’ve been so amazing to see in that type of fighting game
This game is very barebones, right now. It has a LOT of potential, and with a few good and productive updates, the game could actually turn in to something pretty great.
its shocking how low the standards are for anime fighters, 16 playable characters with different move sets isn't impressive, its pretty bad as far as fighters go but of course because its an anime fighter we just gotta clap and hand over $60
Is anyone else getting the "a network error has occurred" message every time they try to get into a game?
Yea
I honestly find the slower, heavier pace and feeling of the moves a refreshing style compared to all other fighting games, and its kinda necessary for the 2v2 to work, so I don't see that as a huge downside.
Might get this game when its on sale for 30 dollars
I'd say wait for a sale like 15 bucks, it's really not worth the 30. 30 bucks can get you Palword(An EASY 40 hour game with no breaks) or One Piece Odyssey(I heard solid 40 hours with some monotony). Your money is your money sure, but I just wanted to give you some perspective too to help you save.

Let’s see how you feel after a month .
I absolutely loved my hero ones justice 2, and I was really hoping that this would be that, but with JJK characters since it was the same developer :(
As 90% of steam reviews say: "Nah, I'd refund"
i don't mind the grahpics not looking the best, if the gameplay makes up for it
It does, it really really does, but I'd still recommend trying it within the span of under two hours, just to make sure you can refund it if you don't like the style of movement.

"what they made, mechanically, is fantastic" I see we really lowered the bar over the years.
@@siridontlikeemails4749 I'm only responding because this comment is highlighted, but out of curiosity do you even know the mechanics?
I was so excited when this was announced, but then I saw Byking...I very much didn't like one's justice and this is the same. I'm glad I avoided this one.
Honestly, I enjoy this game play. It's the same as the Final Fantasy Dissidia games. I just don't think it fits JJK. Since martial arts and hand to hand fighting is a big part of the show. A more combo focused fighting game would have fit better.
I find it stupid that a tag team fighting game doesn't have split screen.
I put can be so bad that simply present A to go to the next cutscenes will not be acknowlaged
Most combos are negated not cause of the rival player but because the frame rate drops in the middle of a combo.
@@themanysirs1814from software works on souls games not Bandai and Tekken gets the most love. What you talking about?
@@mastersonic707 Exactly! Bandai doesn't make Tekken or the Souls games, they're just the producers(people who fund the developers and handle getting it on different platforms), so by default they put no love into them
To be fair most one piece games are good, I love pirate warriors 4, and I really like world seeker, haven't played odyssey yet though but it looks like a confy game and it looks exactly like dragon quest XI a game I absolutely adore
Dragonball sparking zero has the original studio behind it that created the previous budokai games. I think it will actually be good.
Any ideas?
Game is cool but no couch co op with 4 player or bringing your friend online with you on same console makes it a L

Dawg this is so sad, Arcsys been made unique characters and the netcode being tge best "for an arena fighter" is... 😭
Wait this game doesn't have local multiplayer?, damn it just went from 0/10 to - 10/10
D is way too high for this game, a $50 game with that small a roster, barely any modes and lacklustre gameplay= a terrible fighting game
JJK Game gon be DEAD by Tomorrow
Yup
Just played my first 2 hours and I agree. Love JJK but I cannot see pushing myself to play this game for 2 more hours.
Played for 17hrs yesterday still playin
@@rayhawkeye816same, then I realized that after you’ve played over 2hrs of a game you can’t refund it 🗿 (Xbox)
It has such a huge learning curve
@@guisilva7810ur fat
5. This mobile game isnt even on mobile 😅😅
Overall, not worth anyone's time.
And this is why Bandai Namco gets away with the stuff they get away with.
@@mastersonic707 Uhh why's that? Not sure you understood my comment.
This game has a lot of potential the abilities are done well the biggest problem is the balancing issue
Congrats man on globku jr
Is it true is this game the most refunded game?
It's pretty disappointing combos are almost non-existent in this game when My Hero One's Justice 2, made by the same developers, has easily the most satisfying combo game in any anime arena fighter
I agree that I wish there was more combo potential but I could tell it just wasn’t what they were going for here as disappointing as that may be. I feel for a first dive into this type of game it’s pretty good and enjoyable for what it is and I think improvements could for sure be made for a sequel.
Eyes of Heaven had good and cool combos and block strings and was a 2v2 interactable arena game. Honestly I wish that game got more love
That’s literally the DLC coming tho
I know it sounds crazy but i always kinda wished that most anime games are like naruto ultimate ninja storm series... like imagine jjk but with stoem 4 mechanics? dope..... one piece with storm 4 mechanics? dope etc.. like i know a lot of people hate storm 4 combat but i think it's peak for anime games.
It’s pretty fun coming from a guy who plays it alone. I’m also a huge jjk manga fan so being able to set up and play some of the iconic 2v1s with max cursed meter is actually pretty satisfying. Yall sleep on free battle mode
More like free battle mode put me too sleep
bro you just dont want to acknowledge you spent 60$ on this trash ass game
@@eddylopez6556 I genuinely enjoy it so why does it matter to you? You’ve probably spent money on games I wouldn’t even touch (naruto storm). Doesn’t make it a waste, just preference
@@GeckoMoriia it’s an acquired taste. I grew up playing games alone so I know how to make my own fun out of anything.
Wait can you do 2v1 and 2v2 against AI? As I hardly play anime games online ! As all I seen was this was 2v2 online
Why is no one talking about the outfits ppl paid for but aren’t getting
We paid so much for it and we don't have
Arcsystemworks, another Franchise needs your help.
It most certainly doesn't feel like the fast-paced high-energy JJK fighting game that i feel many people were hoping for
With a 2v2 focus, I feel like a more combo-heavy game makes a lot more sense than the exact opposite, and that is one of the most disappointing things to me.
Not really a fan of your content, but I really appreciate you keeping it real on this review. This is pretty sad considering what we could've got
