It looks like the cars turn on a center pivot of the car rather than as a result of front wheels turning. So weird.

@@altag1330 I've noticed that as well. You have to actually use less steering input than before and can still normally take that corner. Impossible to get more arcady. Beyond ridiculous.

Haven't bought an F1 game since 2020, and not sure I ever will
I do enjoy F1 24, it's fun to play and that's all i want. ERS shouldn't be so powerful though. Managing your battery and using it wisely is part of the strategy. Now, you just use it without thinking.

This is the first f1 game since f1 98 I haven't bought.
So the race gonna be who the best handeling the ers modes ....til the end off the race or the best saver by cornering, you can make the race more tactical

Like that we got the overtake control back. But yes it is a little to powerfull. But not much
I like it this way. It’s not a same so make it a game and games have fun/ exciting features that real life wish they could replicate

I like it. I hope they DON'T change it. It makes sense, to me anyways, that we gain so much more battery from None and that the kickback is getting ZERO boost from the throttle, which naturally makes us slower at the top end. (You can use overtake but is much less % than Medium) I think it makes sense that we get absolute maximum boost in both Overtake & Throttle with Hotlap with the kickback being a ridiculous drain rate if you use both at the same time. With the Medium being the balance, now it's a game of figuring out the where and when's of using or saving. I like it. But that's me 🤷♂️
I love the fun part of ERS and I don't mind that it's not realistic. I don't like that I sometimes am more focused on changing ERS modes than nailing other things, as it is way more important
It is realistic, according to Chat GPT only takes a lap to completly refill the battery.
@@awumsuri no man, In real life u can use 4mj (full battery) in hotlap mode but recharge only 2mj for lap
@@joemeatgrinderyt6096AFAIK, the 2MJ harvest per lap only applies to the MGU-K (harvest due to braking), while there is no limit to the harvest by the MGU-H. However, it feels like the MGU-H harvests a metric ton of energy in this game, while the MGU-K always harvests the entire 2MJ every lap

I agree that in open lobbies racing has gotten better but in league racing nothing has changed in my opinion if anything it got worse.
I wish Polyphony would develop the next F1 game.
everything about polyphony is perfect but the FFB is extremly afwul on this game. When u play Iracing and sit behind the wheel it feels the closest to real life.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think it's too easy to recover the ERS. And the only reason it provides "good racing" is because majority of players haven't figured out the most effective way of saving and deploying battery, and another majority are on controller which means they can't change the ERS as often as someone on a wheel.
I'm pretty confident in a few weeks it won't provide nearly the same level of excitement - especially in the competitive league racing/eSports scene.
Lastly, I feel having to manage your ERS and planning when to deploy as when to save is much more difficult and increases the skill gap. Being able to just constantly blast the overtake button because you can recover it so quickly, just makes the skill gap smaller imo.
Am no engineer, but how is electrical energy being converted into potential energy when in full throttle? Physics wise this game is groundbreaking 😅 when you go down to none ers mode am sure you can’t be recover electrical energy
I'll be honest I really love the game, the handling model is honestly the best I've had experienced since it suits my driving style perfectly and it truly shows since I'm now having fun against 110 AI while last year I was getting abused by 105AI probably one of the best experiences i've had and even on TT I am so much higher than ever before
The ERS feels fine to me honestly as it feels to show more strategy and skill compared to before where you wait laps over laps to make one move it has more competitiveness so yeah overall really love this year's game :))
Honestly having much more fun on this than the last 2 games comfortably. People just jumped on the band wagon when eSports drivers complained
After watching this video. I do NOT think the ERS needs to be changed. It allows for better racing AND you have to think about your moves 1 or 2 Laps ahead of time. That's good for racing in the long run

If the ERS is the same for everyone, how is that unbalanced? it's just a new gaming mechanic to learn and adjust to, yes?
I see you are in a 5 lap race, is the ERS gain the same as a FULL length race? Maybe it's ratio'd differently for shorter races.
Really dislike the new ERS System. Way too much micromanagement and its basically impossible to break off a similar fast car with the combination of ERS/DRS.
The battery needs to be like f1 22 battery but make the engine like f1 23

Is it just me or does shifting in the game sound weird? Upshifts and downshifts just don't sound accurate at all?
For me was f1 2021 way more realistic and challenging
on none ers u lose too much, middle is enough to recharge the battery without losing too much speed... but i agree, the level of deploy and recharge is insane, but ea, patch those equal cars and let it be now... fix smth here and there, but no more major changes please. esp. the handling model woulkd be nice to have before the patch without exploits, but if not possible, let it be now
They've turned the game into Need for Speed. Maybe F1 2045 will be a true Sim

Absolutely awful. Especially the Ferrari powered cars
still waiting for the price to drop. Besides all the hate against EA, I think is really hard to manage a license game and Codemaster do a great job. ACC is a so called "simulation", but there is no safety car, no red flag, AI suck. IRacing is to expensive and also not that great. AC you need a tons of mods and still missing a lot of stuff. Rfactor and LMU have great physics, rules and AI, but takes forever to get in a race, plus they don't have champioship mode or something is always missing. So, besides the strange decisions from EA/Codemaster, still a great franchise. I hope they keep the license, BUT they need to get their shit together.

The casuals, couch collectors, and need for speeders will buy the game every year, better hope is ea gets bored with the license and give to someone else
We need two modes that we can chose, sim and arcade. If game stay like this im ok with F22. This prooves stupid EA policy 'lets make it for the masess', making something more dumb. Why to take effort for anything in life, lets lower scale for the lazy ones all the time. Its not like everyone couldnt play on old steering model, but they had to put more effort.

Driving down straights in 7th gear needs to be punished ( in game) in some way shape or form. It so unrealistic and has been a problem for years.

EA concetrate on the casual players , forget the E sports players they dont speak for the vast majority of gamers , they just want the game modded so they can get rediculous lap times , that dont reflect the sport .

In my opinion this game is quite good :)
Never played the game, but by the looks of it it's a joke: annoying high pitched engine sound, strange behaviour of the car when turning, and this clownfiesta of the ERS being overpowered and so easy to recover takes away a whole set of skill of knowing when and where to use the energy and when to save it. Yeah it makes overtaking easier, but it feels like a gimmick and I totally dislike it.
Please dont encourage this mess of a game. If EA and codies watch they might think the product they out is okay. They need to fix this handling

In real F1 the DRS is trully powerful, but here is just plain useless if the other guy has battery. I am just disgusted by how arcadey this game is.

Honestly guys, get over it yes the last games were better but we are on this one now so just enjoy it for what it is. No point looking back on the past
The sound of the engine is horrible!! Such arcade effects in the handling too... No one can accept this. I fear we are going to a non-game. Catastrophic. EA Sports have ended to kill F1 games for good with their friends at Codemasters. There are much more intelligent games on the market, this one is for children.
