    Can't wait to try this! I had a facial with Caribbean facial massage as a gift. She used her fingers for the gua sha effect. When I looked in the mirror, I said what did you do? I looked ten years younger! She said you show all your stress in your face. I simply relaxed the facial muscles and drained your facial lymphatic fluid. The downward strokes work to drain the lymph nodes, along with the wiggle over certain nodes. T Y!

    I know that I’m a little late to the Gua Sha party, I just got my own two very beautiful rose quarts gua sha after having them in a shopping cart at Beauty Bay online shopping. After someone time I saw that they were 50% off, I seized the moment and here we are!! 😺
    I’m searching the internet for crash courses in gua sha. And now I stumbled upon this channel! I’m all ears!
    I’ve had done some gua sha done before, and afterwards I felt that a lot of tension and stress was more or less gone.
    I suffer from PTSD and anxiety as well as eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia, so I need all the help that I can get. I’ve noticed that taking care of my skin is very relaxing and therapeutic, even. So skincare have become one of my biggest interests. I love the cleansing step of the routine, because it’s like cleansing the day off - out with the old and in with the new. Especially if it’s been a particularly long or hard (or even bad) day. Skincare can sound benign in comparison to strong pharmaceuticals and CBT therapy, but it is very therapeutic for me.
    Thank you for a great video 👍 🙏 🙏

    I never realized this could be used with acupressure points the way you were showing it. Thank you for that information, I can see how beneficial it might be. If you have tension in your face and body you might want to consider a supplement for decreasing inflammation. Inflammation causes other diseases to have a foothold according to some schools of thought. I hesitate to offer this as I am just a person interested in my own health and it’s how I would be looking at the tension for myself. Thanks again for the great content.

    Thank you so much. This video, along with the Jade Roller video, is wonderful. My daughter-in-law gave me a lovely set to use, and thanks to you, I now know how to use them. Thanks again. 🌺

    I did this video because I have tinnitus and lately it’s gotten louder, accompanied by a lot of jaw, neck (occipital) pain around ear. Hopefully this frees up some of the tension and lowers my tinnitus back down. Thanks for the video :)

    I have a set of gua sha stones sitting in an online shopping cart and you’ve convinced me that it’s not nearly as complicated as I was afraid it was. My only remaining confusion is that I was taught to always move lymph fluids towards the heart and am wondering how built up fluid in the face, neck, and shoulders get flushed out by doing gua sha?

    • @allaboutrisingyourself_oli6726
      @allaboutrisingyourself_oli6726 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're right. Gua sha or jade roller should move towards heart for neck and other body parts. But for face she is following right technique of massage n it gives instant results. Also sufficient amount of oil or moisturizer must be used to avoid skin breakages

    I have chronic pain and it shows in the face, I tried the Gua sha with a flat stone I already had, that was so relieving all this stored pain for years. I will definitely get a professional gua sha stone!

      There are some stretching you can do. Bob and Brad physiotherapists have given good advice.

      I used to have pretty bad TMJ where my right jaw would unhinge and hinge back frequently
      and almost made a crunching noise when I closed my jaw. My parents are dentists, so I asked them for advice and here’s what I did following that: I got a night guard, stopped chewing gum, and at random points of the day if my jaw felt tense I’d massage the lower part of my jaw and unhinge my jaw slowly. It depends on the severity of it, but I’d say nightguard and the jaw massages are key.

      Your fascia is releasing stress and healing and recovering after the massage. Same when someone does foam rolling on the fascia. It's an ideal state for parasympathetic nervous system 😊

    My whole life I’ve had baby fat that never seems to shrink, now it’s looking like it’s starting to create a jowl problem, just hitting 30 😞 Plus I gained a little weight and it shows around my chin, and your explanation about getting the headaches is true. Lately I have been getting tension in the neck that seems to affect my head. Going to have to look more into this, but I think it certainly could help me out. Thank you for the demonstration!
