Sad to hear people are giving you a hard time man. Your videos jumpstarted my business in a huge way. There’s always going to be the keyboard warriors that think they know better. Your work speaks for itself though man. Keep it up man and thank you for the work you put into these videos. Trust me it’s helping a lot of us!
Same here. When I had questions about wfp I was transferred to a specialist and got to speak to Jordie. @steveo and jordie as well as Luke have been a huge help in window cleaning here in SC! Much love
Shouldn’t be getting a hard time and I wouldn’t have even noticed if he didn’t say but seriously in a health note I’m not out of breath cleaning windows ever. Never ever I’m a heavy smoker I am 37 years old he’s not even started and he sounds like he needs an inhaler. Not having a dog but I’m a man I’m not scared of hurting feelings when it comes to health!
Im amazed at the water pressure you got without a electric pump. I've been doing WFP for over 20 years. Usually around 4 and 5 story buildings. Started with the old school metal Tucker Pole. These new poles are absolutely beautiful, and much lighter. Nice vid and love your attention to details.
For sure. I am sure these bring him business though, maybe not as WW custos but he makes a commission off the stuff that gets sold through his affiliate links. He does do a lot of work, and we do appreciate him.
Hey Steve! Thank you for putting this video together! My husband and I started our window cleaning company last year in NH. We do not have a WFP yet but we are looking forward to getting one...hopefully this year! We really appreciate all of the info you share. We have learned so much! You have a great attitude about window cleaning and life...it is refreshing! Keep up the great work!
You definitely bust it out and jam!!! Same here been washing windows 25 years you got it down. It does blow my mind how straight forward and easy jobs are on mainland compared to in Hawaii
Definitely need one of these systems! It sounds like you’ve been getting a lot of hate by the way you’re talking in this video. Man I wish I was half as knowledgeable as you on window cleaning, I appreciate all the content and all the tips and tricks you give us. Love from Texas👍🏻
Awesome, love it. I'm washing your videos to learn the business, I'm a scaffolder and I want to get into the window cleaning business and I'm learning a lot with your videos. Thank you so much. 🙏
I have just done my first jobs using the water pole and filter, getting great results. If there is any water spots around edges, I just use a cloth. I always clean the frames first and rinse. I wash the windows with slight solution and rinse. Everyone has there own way.
Been cleaning windows for 28 years. Great video for technique. I found that WTP systems are great for solar panel cleaning on roof tops. the angle, and height in which panels are placed makes WTP systems ideal. I have signed up 4 commercial accounts and 5 residential accounts. I live in Ohio. I have signed them up for 3 times a year. the most important time to clean solar panels seems to be late May when most of the spring pollen has fallen. Theonly problem is all our accounts need cleaned ariund this time. No sleep from mid May thru June.
Where in ohio? I'm around the cleveland area and am always wondering what the market for stuff like this is. And for pressure washing/house washing/gutter cleaning.
just added this service and found your video. I need to say: Awesome video and I appreciate you taking the time and information. I look forward to watching others you've posted to help me understand the best techniques and efficiency which will help me explain the value of WFP for my customers.
This was a really good instructional video for newbies, but also those looking to fine tune their wfp technique. This is my go-to technique for wfp. 😎👊🏼
Nice video on water-fed work. I haven't yet used a water-fed system nor have I purchased a system yet but am looking to do so soon. Thanks for the video.
You helped start my business man thank you!!! Giving me motivation to not give up and keep growing and coming up with easier ways to clean windows definitely gotta pick up one of these!!!
@SteveOthewindowcleaner is there any sales or deals you have going on? Or financing options those things can be a bit pricey lol but definitely worth it
I used to install pool solar on roofs for 5 years. You need to walk on the bottom ones of the tiles. It transfers your weight on both top and bottom tiles, reducing the chance to crack the tiles. Thanks for your informational videos Steve.
I use the same principles cleaning solar panels... initial rinse, scrub up and down all the way down, then side to side coming up, followed by final rinse. All using a di tank alone, leaving a spot free rinse. I've been thinking about adding window cleaning, so I started watching you on TH-cam.
Hey stevO, been watching you since wayyy before i started my channel. Always a nice insight into the yanks way of doing things. All the best mate, keep the vids coming.

Im working as a window cleaner for 13 years and wish your boab and waterfed pole were availible in Holland. The extremely high shipping cost is a real dealbreaker for me.
I really enjoy your videos. What would you recommend for someone just starting out with window cleaning?. I see a lot of options and equipment and want to make some sensible purchases until I can afford to upgrade. Thanks for the excellent video.
Do you need a certain type of fitting for the quick connect to the tank. I just ordered the ultimate system and get it next week. Tku. Great turtorial.
Do you have the clients remove the screens before you arrive and use water fed ? I just picked up a xero max and trying to figure out the most efficient way to handle the screen situation Thanks in advance
Out of curiosity how do you go about channels? Or window screens. Where I live everyone has screens. And wants there channels cleaned to. Which is fine. But overall do you thoroughly clean tracks when the customer has them? Like the frames?

Wow…I really need. Xero pole. I have an Unger nLite pole and it’s pretty heavy. My arms would have fallen off with that much pole work. But in my opinion, water fed does get them frames cleaner in a much quicker fashion. Awesome vid Steve 👍🏻
I just used my setup today. Bought the residential package. Bro. I had a two story and had a little porch to extend over and it felt super heavy to hold. Any tips. Don’t say work out my shoulders.
It for sure takes time to get used to, always extend the sections beginning at the top, also extending over a large ledge at a funky angle still gets me tired till this day lol but thats about 1% of windows.
I’m sure you’ve already addressed this somewhere but where I am they have screens on the exterior. How do you deal with that with your customers? Also, I know that you don’t use a cleaning solution to start are the times and you would recommend doing that?
You want to walk on the bottom part of the roof tiles because that’s where the timber’s are underneath. I’ve broke a few tiles before I found that out.
Awesome vid Can anyone tell me if the water filtration is strictly necessary? I’m just starting up and want to know if I can begin cleaning windows or if I absolutely need a resin filter system at least? Thanks
Hey! I operated for many years with out it, it simply makes the job easier. For just getting started a Traditional kit, dawn soap and some ladders can get you very far windowcleaner.com/products/steveos-employee-basic-starter-kit?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Hello Steve, What if the windows are extremely dirty ? Or have hard water stains? As well I know this video is 2 year old, is there anything you would suggest for me to buy, which may be better with WFP system and the pole itself. Looking to purchase through your link. Let me know thanks. As well great video . Learning lots from you.
I use wfp on everything except construction cleans, but it will not remove hard water stains either. For that a hard water cream is best, there has been some improvements as far as the systems and some accessories, but overall this is what I still use
After watching this video,I got waay more insight on using the wfp system. Much more work than I thought, however, gotta be better than moving and carrying and repositioning ladders. One question I have is, what if there's paint or other stubborn matter on the glass that would typically require a scraper or 0000?
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner I actually spoke to you once about 2 months ago over the phone. Recently I've spoken with John and he recommended a DI system and all with the portable reel. I'm tired of doing the ladder thing and wondering how I can reach a 2nd or 3rd story window without getting up on the roof especially if there is a roof below or a porch covering that extends out pretty far. How can you tell from the ground if a second or third story window is clean since you can't see that high up face to face
Hey Steve, great video I'm getting started in this and have been watching a ton of your videos. Why do you hit the frames then come back and get the windows? is it so the frames can drip on the windows and then you clean that window of that dripped debris?
I have a pressure washing business and looking into window cleaning. How do you clean windows with screens? Do you have to remove all of the screens or ? just dont want to have to buy screens for the customers. Thanks for your reply and Happy 4th of July
I got some questions for you! How many gallons of Pure water do you think yo ugo through on an average job? And what size is that hose in the reel? Thanks!
I’m starting windows and doors could I do window cleaning using the same business name add a decal on my truck, also using hose water and Amazon products
Hey Steve. You've got so much content. All the training I need!. I just bought your starter kit and used it on a $150 job today! The scrapper definitely a life saver. One question, the Tbar that comes with the kit doesn't lock onto the pole like the squeegee does. Is the Tbar with the kit meant to just be pushed on to the pole tip for use?
Hey Steve, I have never washed a window before and am looking to start washing locally for neighbours and stuff. What system and pole would you recommend? And are there any other tips I should be aware of? Thanks so much!
Yea I just prefer the larger inner diameter hose, Ive done tests with different size hosing and I get a lot more water through the brush with the larger inner diameter then the smaller inner diameter. This is what I prefer with RODI systems, but for DI only you could definitely run 200' of the smaller hose and get great pressure.
Hi Steve, does it mean that you don't need any soap when cleaning windows with a water fed pole? I'm trying to learn a very detail coz I'm interested in starting a window cleaning business.
I notice you run the hose throughout the pole like you guys send them. Pros and cons of that vs just running it on the outside of the pole? Only company I've worked for didn't run it trough the pole but don't no that there poles could or if he just prefers it that way
What sizes are your hoses i think you said it but not positive. The way i understand it is 5/8 is the garden hose blueone and the hose on the reel what size is that hose ?
What if the frames are REALLY dirty on the second floor? I know tradtional hand cleaning its easier to clean....But a pole with built on and caked up dirt? Can it be done
Oxidization? I like this guy lol he makes me smile at my oxidation problems. I want a good window cleaning vehicle like a small van but the small van segment is being discontinued. What's a window cleaner to drive now?
I think I gotta stick with a ladder and trad tools til I can afford one of these. I fought the damn sun on my last job. This would’ve been nice to have!
hi iam from the uk .You clean the way i do frame panes and sills. i use a line rinse bar. I am a new be and good to see how you use your water fed pole in the usa.Over here i clean every six not four week like some over here.Nice video
So you don’t need to squeegee the windows if you’re using a water feed pole? Also I live in the desert where it gets really hot 110 to 120 degrees some days. Is it convenient for me to use a water feed pole? I don’t know if the water will dry too fast and leave water spots. I just started my window cleaning business and your Chanel is full of knowledge man thx.
I really need to get a Xero Waterford pole. I have an Unger nLite pole and it’s pretty heavy. My arms would have fallen off doing that much pole work. In my opinion, WFP work does clean them frames much better and more efficiently. Thanks for the great work Steve.

Hey brother question
Whats the difference the setup using and the unger hydropower ?
Hydropower is good for areas with low minerals in the water, Xero pure includes an RO membrane filter that is meant for purifying water in areas with high levels of minerals.
This is the Max, the new X2
windowcleaner.com/products/xero-pure-max?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS

Yes, there is no minerals in the water so with the correct agitation it drys clean. Never had a customer complaint.

Thank you for the videos! I always think worst casenario for some reason. Have you ever had oxidation from the drip down onto the siding?
No, its always rinsed enough to not leave anything behind
What is the purpose of drip time? How does it help and how can it hurt?
How much Indo surface You clean before changing filters and What is the cost pzr houses in filters in average
What is the purpose of drip drying?

What should the pressure be to wash 2ne or 34e floor windows?
Depends on the incoming pressure from the water source, but typically out of the brush is around 20-30 psi

Not sure if you have them now, but you can get these little rollers you put near your tire so the hose doesn’t get stuck, a lot of detailers use them
Thanks for the tip!
Is the go h20 worth it or not? Just wondering because that’s what I’m looking at getting bc it’s a lot cheaper then most the other ones

Hey Steve, i know this is an old video, but what do you do about screens? Ask the client to remove them?
th-cam.com/video/TIxs5IUMpNY/w-d-xo.html I always take them out, clean and reinstall
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner thank you. I appreciate your response
@@every_thing_wood1251 You're welcome
How much may I charge for a house like this big? Bout 4 hours of work. Thank you
Hi Steve, does it mean that you don't need any soap when cleaning windows with a water fed pole? I'm trying to learn a very detail coz I'm interested in starting a window cleaning business.
Hi Steve, where can I get that kind of Water fed pole. I'm in South Africa. And how many metres is your garden horse pipe?
Love your videos and the dedication to perfection. I’m curious how you turn the water off and on from your poles?
I notice you run the hose throughout the pole like you guys send them. Pros and cons of that vs just running it on the outside of the pole? Only company I've worked for didn't run it trough the pole but don't no that there poles could or if he just prefers it that way
What sizes are your hoses i think you said it but not positive. The way i understand it is 5/8 is the garden hose blueone and the hose on the reel what size is that hose ?
What if the frames are REALLY dirty on the second floor? I know tradtional hand cleaning its easier to clean....But a pole with built on and caked up dirt? Can it be done
That larger yellow hose that adapts down to the 5/16 xero hose. Can that larger one come off of an unger ultra di tank?
Oxidization? I like this guy lol he makes me smile at my oxidation problems. I want a good window cleaning vehicle like a small van but the small van segment is being discontinued. What's a window cleaner to drive now?
Heyo! I actually just switched to a 2019 Chevy Silverado! Truck or van works great for window cleaning
I think I gotta stick with a ladder and trad tools til I can afford one of these. I fought the damn sun on my last job. This would’ve been nice to have!
awsome show Stevo!
hi iam from the uk .You clean the way i do frame panes and sills. i use a line rinse bar.
Exactly, no need to squeegee after, even if it dries quick on hot days, thats the best situation actually
I really need to get a Xero Waterford pole. I have an Unger nLite pole and it’s pretty heavy. My arms would have fallen off doing that much pole work. In my opinion, WFP work does clean them frames much better and more efficiently. Thanks for the great work Steve.
The destroyer is definitely my favorite of all time so far. Very rigid which helps so much in controlling the pole
