The sellers bug me. They say they want a certain amount, then when the dealer offers that they suddenly want more! Stop being so damned greedy. It is All profit to you, most of the time; the dealer still has to make theirs. And usually it a lot less than what you walked away with.
It's a TV format. The sellers are expected to ask for more, not politely accept the offer straight away. We can assume that the dealers get an appearance fee, so they are not going to lose out. And of course free publicity for their business.
