Walsall Station (West Midlands) on 29th May 1992
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Walsall taken on 29/05/1992. A rather wet but calm day from the shelter of the adjoining multi storey car park beside the station I managed to capture a variety of workings in the hands of Class 31s, Class 37s, Class 47s, and Class 58s. The half hourly shuttles between here and Birmingham were formed of 4 car EMUs. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. This is fantastic stuff, I'm a Walsall lad myself being born at the Manor and living the first few yeras of my life in Caldmore. All of this is before my time but I have a particular interest in the 1970's to 1990's era trains. This is unironically a gold mine of information and the image quality is very good. This is some seriously good footage. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I was working at Walsall College of Art in Bradford Place at this time and could look fom our car park down Bridgeman Street towards the station bridge. Looks like you were filming from The Saddlers multi storey car park. Great memories.

You picked the wrong weather for a typical English Summer's day, i was trying to work out whether the MGR workings were to/from Rugeley or bound for Ironbridge, great stuff though!
