  • Audison Bit One Signal Processor - MAJOR problems! Part 2 of 2
This is me filming the various noises coming from my newly installed car audio system. The central component is the brand new Audison Bit One Signal processor. Audison has acknowledged to me directly that there are some known issues with the product. One is the alternator whine, which is clearly demonstrated on this video and the second issue is what has been called "digital beeping" or "digital Morse code". Audison calls it digital pulsing. The digital pulsing is caused by communications between the Bit One remote control (called the DRC) and the Bit One unit itself. The alternator whine has been communicated to me as a flaw in the design of the plastic case over the circuit board, most specifically because the chosen paint has microscopic metal flake in it and this paint is known to touch the various input and outputs on the unit causing a sort of electrical continuity that is obviously not very good.
Just so you know.....this video was taken the very day that my SECOND Bit One arrived in the mail from Audison Elettormedia USA. This unit replaces my first unit which was acknowledged by Audison as being faulty. Obviously this one is faulty too.
    BAD AUDISON....BAD!!!!

Folks, Audison did a major recall of the Bit One (I was one of the original purchasers). The Bit One.1 was then produced and solved most issues. This news is four years old now.

Than remove the post if you don't want anymore comments. Common sense!

sound like your picking up electrical from alternator and from the cars network system (CAN) system.

iahd some wicked alternator whine in my 06 bmw 530i. clean sweep pdx5 2 m6 by alpine. me and my boy rewired the trunk, because the sho[p did a rushed job. wound up reducing the whine nearly in half, to the point it doesnt even bother me. the rear speaker wire was crossing paths with a power or something and now that its on the other side of the trunk it made a night and day diffrence. all amps r grounded to a conjunction box then that is grounded to the bateerys oem ground location

it sounds like RCAs...check all connections, wiggle them, pull them out and put them back in, because it doesn't sound like a ground issue.

Are you using the vehicle as the power source for the CPU? If so, that's the problem. I ran into this last night and all you got to do is run an external AC power source...and viola....fixed.

Check your RCA cables on Bit ten. Isolate them from Power cables, Also high input cables from amp to Bit ten if you use them. I had the same problem. Problem solved.

Guys it is not a ground problem within my system. The system has been through troubleshooting with Audison and with two different Bit Ones. Both were recalled. Read my description of the video. Audison now acknowledges it is problems with the DRC on the Bit One.
Grounding all components to the same grounding point is install 101. Give me some credit here would ya.

This problem is SIMPLY NOT EXISTING: the SOLUTION is called DRC DECOUPLER. This is a simple device that solve the "tic tic" problem due to the extrernal interferences.

Where does one get a DRC DECOUPLER ?

Yes......in other words....Do not use the car as a power source for the computer....like the cigarette lighter....or ac plug. Instead, Use an extension cord and plug the cpu into an AC socket. You prolly already did this....but if not, this could be why you have noise.
