Barry...................This sounds like a " Saloon Song " that Frank Sinatra loved so much. I know you were always into Jazz and naturally you do every style of song, just the way it should be. It's rare to find a singer that sounds just as good as their studio albums.
From one of Barry's best albums Paradise Café this is the title song. This album had many greats of Jazz on it including Gerry Mulligan on sax, Shelly Mann on drums and Mel Torme does a duet with Barry. Also Sarah Vaughn does a duet with Barry as well. This album was recorded by Barry in one take it just flowed and you can hear his appreciation of this type of music.
2 A. M. Paradise Cafe is one of my all time favorite albums. It is the first one that I had the vinyl, tape and cd. It is in fact on my turntable right now. Listened to side one last night. Sarah Vaughan and Mel Torme' are superb.
