    Great tutorial, lots of little pieces of advice which are often missed, or not spoken of, it think that helps build confidence to tackle the job. And George Michael... well I think his best album is "Listen without Prejudice" a real shame about his fight with Sony; lost years.

    I'm looking to make a cane webbing radiator cover and this was very helpful, thanks a bunch. 😊
    Your video did raise one question for me though: When I router my grooves, should I use a straight bit or a V-shaped bit? And if it's the latter, should the V taper downwards into the piece or taper upwards, like a dovetail joint?

    • @louiegeorgemichael
      @louiegeorgemichael  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI, I'm happy it helped you. Yes use a straight bit that corresponds to the size of the spline. The V of the spline is put in like the shape of the letter, the smaller part is in the glued groove and the top the pline that is larger will help to tighten the rattan. I hope my explanations were helpful, do not hesitate to reach out if you have other questions. I do want to raise a concern: a radiator will dry the rattan and can catch fire if it's electric.

    • @louiegeorgemichael
      @louiegeorgemichael  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi There, you have to measure from groove to groove and add about 5 cm to be able centre the pattern and be able to insert the cane into the groove. There are so many variation of Cesca chairs that they aren't all the same size.
      I'm happy I was able to reach you all the way from Canada to Norway!
